Charging the customers credit card surely isn't an accurate way of getting the stolen money back. On the other side, abusing a bug in the buying process,
dumping all the primes instantly on the market and repeating this process isn't legal too. If we got sent a false quantity of something in my country, we have
to keep the things for 2 years, in case the seller asks for sending them back. If I decide to sell em asap, the seller still can claim back the money from me.
I don't feel sorry for the people who got their credit cards charged, keeping the false amount of mh/s in primes would have cost them nothing.
