From the way I understand CO law, you still have to show a valid state-issued ID (drivers license, etc) for recreational MJ purchases from dispensaries, to prove legal age and residency. (CO residents are allowed to purchase a different amount at time compared to out-of-state buyers.)

So, again, anonymity of the currency is moot when you have to prove your identity before a purchase from a medical or recreational dispensary in CO.
