from a investor pow i'm glad that open sourcing later gives me the chance for higher ROI in case my trust in the team is right. nobody is forced to take that risk so i actually never understand that discussion anyway.
I think they're trying to argue (without any evidence) that the price is dropping because of XC being closed source.
They hope to persuade us to go open source out of fear that the price will drop further.
Personally I don't buy that for a moment. And from the past we're well aware of what happens when we open source our tech: it causes scams.
