Bitcoin is not up... if you are forgetting it was looking stable at 600 not so long ago and it is now at 400 so I would say it is still down.
Bitcoin was 10 not so long ago, the price fluctuations will continue. Do you not expect big changes in bitcoin price?By this time next year, if you will admit it, people will look at you with the mouth gaping open, shocked that you own a whole BTC..! 
I really wish that would happen. $1000 will do.
