United - Chelsea was a great game, good to see that United made some progress.
Van Persie finally got his important goal, that will boost his confidence for sure.
Chelsea is by far the best team in England at this moment, so a draw is a fantastic result.
You know what, All due respect for the way that united played. But to be honest, the ref messed the game up. Firstly, you should know that in big fixtures like this, there are going to be some hard tackles. You cant start throwing out yellow cards for every little incident. He lost control of the game, and united players (particularly di maria) noticed this and started drawing fouls. Also, the crowd got into the refs head, he made some terrible calls, and I believe it is because he was influenced by the crowd. So unfortunately he kind of ruined what was otherwise a great game of football.
All that being said, I think based on the performance of both teams, a draw was a fitting result. So congrats Manchester united, maybe you could make top 4 after all.
Referees can make or break a match, but the draw as result was for both teams a fair result.
Some referees are throwing with cards, and some like to keep the match going without them. One time it will benefit the home team, other time the away team.
If an English referee is set on a match between Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid, I think you will see at least two or three red cards, where in Spain they only get a yellow card in the worst case.
