I have no idea who the actual original developer was.
But the community fixed it and we can do it again we just need a few more proactive people and some more stakers.
I have setup a chat room on freenode ##asiacoin. Anyone wanting to help with AC should join.
https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=##asiacoin The last known devs were maestro and some others
they jumped in to save it , moved on , for now , I would not exclude that some might want to come back , who knows .
The good takeaway is , a significant effort has been made to save AC successfully , the entire code base had been revised & audited by independent developers & exchanges ,
previously unreleased and illegal amounts of coins had been blocked in their addresses and will remain non-spendable , thus , containing any damage & extra influx of coins .
It was incredible refreshing and positive that all this happened in a heroic attempt to restore the faith and decency of a promising Altcoin , it lead to its revival and re-listing .
There will be only slightly more AC's in total as projected , about 12% , theoretically , in practice even less , since some larger addresses have been inactive and not even staking ,
which suggests they might be inaccessible . Whatever , we will have enough coins to build value around ,and given the nature of things , we have to build around the AC Brand .
Any new users are given right now the incredible opportunity to build their own position at a bargain price point , highly undervalued due to the turbulences in the aftermath .
If one really wants to look back , there are the threads here and the old one that we have overcome ; We have made it so far , and the coin is still keeping up among many of us .
Any improvement and any new focus on contributing to the movement will swiftly translate in raising the interest in the brand and coin as utility in the markets we may encounter .
