why should he ask a loan? This is insane...
Because he's trustworthy according to you, so why wouldn't you loan him it if he gave you a believable story? Maybe he doesn't have access to his coins anymore or is in legal trouble or in danger etc.
To me that would be an instant DISTRUST flag. He had it all - what happened? Need more information. Maybe if I met him in person?
Goes without saying, if I ever ask for a loan, throw away all the trust you have for me, for
something has happened that may make me less trustworthy.
