Could also have something to do with the Titan's warming up and Bitmain mining the shit out of stress testing their L1's before shipping them.

Another thing to keep in mind, in scrypt there are many switching pools. For example Clevermining has 300.000 Mh/s or 300 Gh/s. They are known to fully mine LTC from time to time if there is nothing else profitable to mine. If they'd move 80% of their capacity away to all new altcoins they'd have LTC drop down. If they'd move back they might tip profitability down and move away again.
