I haven't found any reports of AM hardware catching fire. Not in hardware threads either. KfC however....thier chips catch fire occasionally, that is if you actually receive them (preorders from 3 months ago are just being produced, not even shipped yet)
check in CrazyGuy group buy thread. There are several examples of prisms catching fire
I checked, and there are some cases. The majority seem like just a blown cap or similar component failure, with some surrounding damage. But there seems to be at least one case of a real fire. Seems they have some problems with the design of the prism.
