They earn more btc than they give from advertisers.

I guess their profit is really low

Actually, freebitco.in makes ~$1,800 USD worth of bitcoin every day! (Maybe even more!) Very impressive. They make a lot of profit. You can actually make decent profit from faucets too if you get a lot of active referrals.
