If anyone out there wants to do the right thing and put a heater on the coin for a day or so i think it would offer you a good opportunity and the new fork can carry on if they like but hopefully cryptsy will stay on the old fork,
I am not representing cryptsy here but since they did not answer me I am stating what I think is the right thing , the honest thing,
Cryptsy has put its Elacoin wallet in "maintenance," suspending all deposits and withdrawals, and it's been that way for the past month or so. I am unsure if this has anything to do with the fork, since "maintenance" only began in mid November, well after the fork would have taken place.
For anyone unfamiliar with Cryptsy's practices, Cryptsy doesn't delist coins with block chains that do not advance, they just go into perpetual wallet maintenance and stay in this state even once the blockchain continues advancing. There's about 20 coins on Cryptsy in this state, including Elacoin. You can still trade Elacoin on Cryptsy but since you can't withdrawal them it's no better than something like Cryptsy Points. Honestly, I think that trading should halted if there is no way for a person to deposit or withdrawal coins, but this is the way Cryptsy conducts business.
I wish anyone who tries to contact Cryptsy about their Elacoin market luck. I've tried multiple times to contact Cryptsy about the status of their wallet maintenance for Elacoin and other coins, and I've either gotten no response or a vague "I can't give you an estimate when they will be back online." In my experience Cryptsy doesn't seem to be all that concerned about getting their smaller markets back online.
