unless its for advertisement but I doubt they are real people viewing it for real.
I originally amused people at the start which had the snapchat exponentially growing. Have a look at the practical uses.

- Advertising among thousands
- Getting revenge on your ex-girlfriend
- Amuse people in your free time
- Become more powerful
- Share a picture quickly to a large audience
They are 100% legitimate people. If you just log into the account you'll see your feed filled with people asking you questions.
