How would that open the door for scamming and system manipulation?

I am only asking for a version of your bot that is not able to make real trades, so I can just test how the software works, if it feels right, etc. I don't need live data for that. Without being able to trade I don't see how you can scam or manipulate anything.

Tradewave is offering free backtests but when I want to make real trades I have to pay a monthly fee, which is completely logical. Problem with Tradewave is that is needs more time to set up.
