Too many times people use this thread to gain exposure to other coins since it is one (if not the longest) of the most active altcoin thread on BCT.
Sorry about that. Since Spreadcoin uses DRK code as its core and the dev found an important vulnerability, I thought it was appropriate. I'll be more careful with my choice of posts in the future.
I think a new developer would be better served joining the Darkcoin community and helping to take DRK from 2USD to 50USD than starting a clone from scratch.
This doesn't really make much sense in my opinion. "Cloning" is one of the beauties of an open-source technology.
The beauty of an open source project is that anybody can contribute to it or fork it to create their own project. I don't understand what doesn't make sense, it is a choice, all I am saying is DRK is a young enough project that someone could still be better served joining and helping it grow if their goal is to get a return on their investment in terms of time and energy. If the goal is just experimenting for science or technical interest then by all means do that, but this is just my opinion.
Agreed. You have the chance to work with a dev team that so far has continued to innovate, you have a coin that has an ever growing masternode network and fairly high network hash. Seems like if you want recognition and the chance to contribute meaningfully, joining DRK seems like the best shot at doing so. At the risk of sounding bias, it will take a lot to get a clone to where Dark is, in terms of masternode count and hash rate (security). Is it possible, absolutely. Is it realistic, that's to be seen.

Anybody is able to told me how many coin exist in the market? (500, 1K, more?)
Don't you think that is enough? I think that this dilution weaken the CrytoMarket.
I was thinking about buying some spread, but after those comment, I'll not.
Keep focus on DRK.
