Sorry, I was so brief in my last post, I left out the most critical information.
Peercoin is a POS coin. A developer recently adapted a lightweight android app (from Andreas Schildbach) to work with Peercoin. Modifications to the Peercoin wallet could make it work for Blackcoin. it does require a block explorer to get information about transactions (centralized Server with a specific api), but would avoid the problems that usually come with PoS coins -- storing the whole blockchain on the phone or device.
