That's interesting, didn't know someone was doing PoS with cryptonote

Our Anonymous outputs don't stake, so as Shadow, there is no coin age, or no coin really.
Only once converting back to SDC will you be able to stake.
Pretty cool. It works almost like a "sin tax," an anonymous user will pay a penalty in both the additional transaction fee and the fact that his Shadow is not staking. And the staking users will receive the benefits of those heavy fees.
One possible way to improve this would be to charge the 100X fee only when converting the SDC to Shadow. That way a user who uses his coins only for ZK transactions won't be converting back and forth from Shadow to SDC. Would that save some work for the blockchain?
That would be cool, but converting from SDC to Shadow is very lightweight compared to spending shadow as ring signature generation, signing and verification only happen when spending shadow.
I think the important thing to bear in mind, is that you have the ability to make your SDC disappear, or to remove the link between the coinbase / last shadow conversion
