As I know, you can't recover it any more.
If he has the e-mail on wich he registered his blockchain.info wallet then ask support for it to recover.
That wont work., the password determines the key. Even blockchain.info doesnt have access to it.
The best would be to use recuva or something similar and try and recover the files from the hard disk.
