We all must listen to LambTroll.
We must sell all our coins and buy dollars.
We must entrust our hopes to the Banks.
Because it's SAFE!

To be fair macsga, Greece wasn't screwed over by the banks. You were screwed over by the lying politicians you kept electing. If the greeks would care a bit more about clean governance and fighting corruption then the euro wouldn't be pounding you from behind as much.
To be fair Fatman3001, I beg to differ. The debt was created BY THE BANKS, via derivatives and other banking ''products''. The golden boys got their share, and when they came to their margin call point, they reached for the weakest link of the chain. If you've ever been involved with politics you'd know by now that almost everybody has its price. Even congressmen in the US have their price and probably even you and me.

Politicians are corrupt; granted, but it's the whole system that supports the corruption. Let's see what happens next in Greece. Within 3 days we'll know. I hope for the best. Smiley

As a Greek myself allow me to add this to your analysis  macsga
Corrupted politicians are elected by corrupted voters, and in Greece ~90% of the population is corrupted in one way or another.

I'm a Greek too; living and working here. The main problem in Greece is the election system AND the ignorant voters. The percentage of the voters last time was 52%. From those 23% went to New Democracy. That means the 1st elected party rules the country with 12.5% of the general population. That's a distortion. Are those voters corrupt? Probably YES! They were bought by the 1st party! Where are the others? At the beach or drinking frappuchinos?

TBH, I'd prefer before going to elections the Constitution to change, but Samaras put it as prerequisite in order to get the 180 votes for the president. We will be having this chance again in 2021! Acting by himself? I don't think so mate. I don't think so. Undecided
