There's a lot of talk about scalability at the moment, if mainly technical rather than alt-coin action. And not a lot of mention of Cryptonite. How do you guys see Cryptonite fitting in to all of this, and becoming more prominent?
There has been a lot of talk about scalability for a long time. The Mini-blockchain Scheme will remain the most scalable cryptocurrency scheme for the foreseeable future. The best proposal I have seen for pruning Bitcoin is the Ultimate Blockchain Pruning Scheme but I haven't seen it successfully implemented and it still has several disadvantages compared to the Mini-blockchain Scheme. I think as the scalability issue becomes more prominent within Bitcoin and other Bitcoin-based coins which require the full blockchain to be stored, people will start to appreciate the Mini-blockchain Scheme much more than they do now. But I also know that Cryptonite wont succeed unless I can build a market around it and give people something to spend their XCN on.
