What is the plan for BlackCoin?

The plan is for people sort their shit out amongst themselves and stop this petty bickering that is nothing but divisive and counter to everyone's efforts. I'm done with this thread.

Not sure who these BC senior members are, but I'm sure none of the core dev team or anyone affiliated to the coin as a core member would ever do such a thing.

Unless you prove me wrong...

Btw, there is no such thing as a senior member in this community imo, everyone is equal in their own rights and are valued with their contribution towards positive improvements for blackcoin.

Well, back to promoting blackcoin now Smiley

Plenty of BC guys were over there trolling and someone took over ops of the IRC channel for a while...

Let us concentrate:

First off, we are all adults here. We all have made a decision to invest in certain coins, be'd this BlackCoin, MintCoin, WhiteCoin or any other Coin. I welcome a healthy discussion about why one should invest (or not) in a coin, but there are limits as to what you should do & say about other coins.

Every coin has it's fanatics, it's bagholders and it's people with ulterior motives. Yes there are people that just want to get WhiteCoin fixed to make sure they can exit their bag. There are also people that spread misinformation about other coins in the hope that these people will invest in BlackCoin. I would say: let everyone make their own decision. It has absolutely no use to attack other coins on their own thread. Yes, i know that there are fanatics from other coins doing it here but luckily BTCTalk has an ignore button. USE IT. And stop going to Coin threads and spreading misinformation there. If you want a healthy discussion with other coins: then do this, but stop with the blant trolling and fudding of other coins.

The thing is, i'm putting a massive amount of hours into BlackCoin making sure it succeeds. And i'm not the only one. We have a dedicated team that is growing by the week, people concentrating on specific countries, people concentrating on specific services and so on. Each and everytime some one fuds another thread the name of BlackCoin will be viewed bad by someone. And that has no use for neither you or me. If you want to point out something about another coin, sure, go for it, but don't drag the name of BlackCoin in your discussion.

Soepkip, I'm a big fan of BC, in fact I'm pretty much all in having sold up most of my other crypto in order to get hold of as much as I can. I love the community support and the crazy smart devs.

But I have to say the shenanigans of some senior BC people over in the WC IRC channels in the last 24hours has left a bitter taste in my mouth. If our aim is to be a serious alternative to BTC and to be taken seriously by merchants etc then this kind of nonsense makes us look like petulant bullies and does nothing to further our cause. I'm no fan of copy and paste imitation but surely we're confident enough in our coin and our community to let our advantages speak for themselves?

Just my $.02

no, 2 separate instances. -d 0,0 reduces performance.

first and foremost -d 0,0 breaks currently because it operates both threads in the same CUDA context,
and you will get some non-validating hashes (the threads will step on each other's toes). This is fixable,
but only with an update to ccminer.

With two GPUs, I'd recommend to run a bat file with -d 0,1 twice on the same PC.  The total hash rate
of both instances would be more than the hash rate of a single instance running - mainly because of
higher overall GPU utilization.

Thanks for replying. So I shouldn't run one bat with -d 0 and the other with -d 1 but rather two bats with -d 0,1 in each...so each is identical?

How do I run two instances? Just two separate .bat files and drop the -t 2 command from each or is something else needed?

My bat files look like this
ccminer-v0.5\x86\ccminer35.exe -a heavy -q -d 1 -o stratum+tcp://hvcpool.1gh.com:5333 -u wallet -p x -v 512

the -d tells it which card to use, and i just run the bat twice. My cards are all on usb risers, and you can see a rough idea of performance increase in my above post, obviously it is on HVC but gives some idea of increases

Hey thats great thanks man, got 2 x 12mh/s now so I'm already up to 2mh/s! So does it show up as two miners or as one? My pool doesn't have any individual miner stats so can't tell...

Which make? someone else may be able to help.
I know the MSI ones will go to 1400MHz without even increasing the power rating, and that's i believe +213MHz on the clock
haven't tried it myself, but i know someone who did. Right now i am getting 39MH/s on my 3 750Ti's with the clock at +113MHz
so the clock rate doesn't really need to go very high to achieve 13MH/s a card

Some of them are overclocked by the factory so have less headroom for further overclocking I imagine.

I have a Gainward and a Gigabyte and the Gainward can't be dialed up as high as the Gigabyte. Gigabyte is at 1301mhz (+125 overclock) and the Gainward is at 1317mhz (+89mhz).

the only thing to really do is overclock your cards

and maybe to run two instances in parallel, bringing your GPU utilization closer to 100%

Have overclocked as high as they will go and still be stable but have some weird PCI issues. One only goes to 215kh/s, and the other is rock solid at 300kh/s on Scrypt. Both run happily at 300kh/s on their own in the 16x slot, but when I hook up the riser, the card in the 16x drops to 215kh/s max.

How do I run two instances? Just two separate .bat files and drop the -t 2 command from each or is something else needed?

Anything I should tweak on my 2 x750ti system mining HVC? Getting around 22mh/s but seen a few on here around the 26mh/s mark...

ccminer35.exe -t 2 -a heavy -v 512 -o stratum+tcp://hvcpool-apac.1gh.com:5333 -u wallet -p x

would the 4x slots  be enough to keep stable rates on 750ti's?
I did try a 1x-16x riser inside a 4x slot. That yielded 5-6% decreased performance in hashrates, but as far as stability, it is rock solid on +135 core +600 mem overclocking.

Just curious if this same issue can affect the card in the 16x slot? I have two 750ti's. My mobo is PCI gen2 so I have the a Gigabyte 750ti in the 16x slot and a Gainward 750ti in the 1x slot via a PCI riser. I can get 300khs easy on the card in the riser but the card in the 16x slot won't ramp beyond 215kh/s no matter what I try. If I disconnect the riser, the internal card scales to 300khs easy.

So I know most people experience a hashrate hit to cards running via external risers but I'm experiencing the opposite where the riser card will ramp up nicely but the card in the 16x slot won't go beyond 215khs when the riser card is connected.

CR has blocked all BTC withdrawals for the last couple of days. The only way to get BTC out was via another currency. I managed to get my money out only after going to LTC. Took a beating on the exchange rates and fees but at least I got most of it out before it went tits up.

If you have coins in there, get them out ASAP would be my advice.

I noticed something was up with this exchange because the prices for all the coins were inflated.

Then after some reading I realised people are selling all their BTC into whatever they can get so they can withdraw those coins since BTC withdraws are halted.

Transfer fees and LTC/BTC rates ended up costing me about $50 on my .37 BTC but at least I got my BTC out...now just crossing fingers for my BC to be refunded.

BTC Withdrawal on CR is not 'broken', they've simply blocked it. After trying for the last 2 days, I've cashed out my BTC to LTC and moved it to another Exchange. Better safe than sorry with all these weird shenanigans going on.

If CR ever compensate me for my lost BC (as they're saying on their Twitter feed) they'll regain some of my respect but doubt I'll ever trade with their shitty system again.

CR currently timing out. Still trying to get my BTC out for the last 48 hours. Either DDOS has resumed or they've become hugely popular for some other reason...

I lost 300BC at CR if its true but my bigger concern is that I haven't been able to withdraw any of my BTC balance from CR in the last 24 hours. Makes me worried that they're refusing to pay out BTC in order to cover their asses. Anyone been able to withdraw BTC from Cryptorush?

Did anyone post this? a HuffPo article on Potcoin and Dopecoin.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/19/bitcoins-drugs-dopecoin-potcoin_n_4980749.html

Business insider reported on huffpo's story

http://www.businessinsider.com/potcoin-and-dopecoin-2014-3

Well done to those involved in spreading the word. More like this please, this is the way to ensure the long term relevance and value of our favourite coin, keep it in the public eye and spread the word amongst the media. I'd love to hear if anything happened on the recent expedition to Amsterdam. Apart from the obvious indulgence of local delights I mean! Did anyone talk to any coffeeshop owners or suppliers in the world's pot capital?

Kudo's to the dev and marketing team.

Just figuring it all but would like to put some more money in but figuring out the difference between the trading and mining shares.

Obviously earnings potential differ greatly but just trying to figure out whether 5x$20 investment shares has the same earnings potential as 1x$100 mining share

At the moment I would opt for trading shares. The mining difficulty is going up all the time and currently mining pool earnings are only 0.63%. The Bitcoin value must raise significantly, like $900 or $1,000 to make the mining pool once again more profitable than the trading pool.

Good call, I'm presuming with the massive corporate investments in SHA256 hardware recently, the share trading portfolios should start doing better than the mining pool...
