20% interest, yeah right.

Sounds like the right forum for this is Goods > Digital Goods > Accounts as this is clearly just an account sale for $2k.

[H] $600 PayPal [W] BTC
by
Ðire
on 03/02/2021, 19:06:47 UTC
Hi all.

Looking to exchange roughly $600 worth of my PayPal funds for bitcoin, 1:1.

It's been a hot minute since I last traded on this forum, so I'm sure you all understand the risks involved in a trade like this. In order to mitigate some of this I'll be more than happy to go first with reputable members, and/or split the trade into smaller portions with multiple members.

Cheers.

Whoa whoa... I'm not doing a deal with you. Someone is trying to scam you. Don't send anything to anyone using my name.

I was just saved. I was going to transfer $100  Undecided. How do I post this long email conversation I had with a person claiming to be you so that newbees like me look at it and are saved from this scam.

I was also contacted by someone claiming to be TomatoCage.

Just a couple of posts into your first WTB here, eh? Welcome to our scummy little corner of the Internet. Smiley

nutildah missed an important point for you: most imposters try to impersonate higher-ranked members with a new (newbie) account. Whenever someone like that PMs you, you'll see this at the top of their message:

Quote
!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

I'd steer clear of any accounts like that if you still want to trade coins on this forum.

Cheers, and glad you didn't lose any.

Re: nachius 'Default trust member' BOUGHT account?!
by

Not sure if it changed hands or not but the account is no longer in DT.

I'd imagine that nachius won't be nearly as active anymore - especially if the account was bought.
I'd say if that account was bought he surely lost the money since he would have paid a bomb to buy a DT account. Can conform the account is out of the DT network.

Not necessarily. Someone else paid him 0.25BTC to confirm a transaction quickly (who still probably believes he mined it himself) from his trust page. There are likely many more trades (tricks or not) that he could have profited from.

I hadn't paid much attention to this before but am interested in supporting, but I am curious, are we still at 10/50BTC given the intent of the original amounts and the current value relative to fiat?

I believe so. Scroll through the thread and you'll see a lot of people asking about it.

This is already done by Ebates, Topcashback, Mr Rebates and a host of other sites, but in fiat.

It's not an original idea if that's what you're going at, but I haven't seen many people on this forum with it.

The Scam Accusations board is over here. It'd make it easier to make judgments about this if you followed the scam report outline.

Also, it looks like iDotz.net has been pulling these types of actions for a while: link one, link two.

What thread did he delete your posts from?

Probably Gunthar's Gunbot thread, seeing that the conversation was about a bot.

Imho the best option is to find a local store/pawn shop.
even if they give you a the half of the price of your laptop...

Please read before posting.

Again I'm asking for a loan here because :
-I need the money in BTC not cash
-I don't have any clue as to how pawnshops work
-I need atleast 1,300$ worth in BTC
Honestly dont know how much a pawn shop would give for a pawn of it

There are NO valid references for any of that guy's feedback.  I'm not sure I'd trust any of it.  You can leave anyone a neg, but without proof it's meaningless.

Those feedbacks, especially the one that "risked" 42BTC, makes me think that someone simply has some sort of personal vendetta against him.

I'm thinking on 24 hours after last bid, as I've seen many around here. Is it ok?

As opposed to fixed auction end times, the 24 hour after last bid prevents people from "sniping" the auction.

Re: How attractive is free hosting? [GAUGE]

Self-explanatory title. I am currently contemplating starting up a free hosting service for all you BitcoinTalkers. Applications would be necessary (no one likes abusers, right?) and frequent monitoring habits observed. From what I am thinking, it would be a limited, but quality, free hosting service; a way for you developers to have a private workspace, startups to get started with no investment, etc., and those of you who need something better, a custom plan would be available. But those details would be worked out in the future.

cPanel, of course.

So how does that sound? How many people would be interested in it? Let me know your thoughts and opinions.
The free hosting concept is nice. It will be helpful for Bitcointalker. I have already used https://www.000webhost.com/ for free web host.

Thanks; that's what I'm hoping! Unless 000webhost has revamped their servers and free hosting, I tried them out a couple years back and they were an example of overcrowded servers. Not exactly useful.

So it would have full cPanel? All the goodies? No locked functions like most other providers?

Yes. Full functionality of the basic cPanel will be available. Pretty much what one would get for payment with most hosts, except stricter supervision of what it's being used for.

I think free hosting plan will be good way to attract some members who will actually buy premium packages after testing for few months and what i don't like in all the common free hosting plan is they have lots of limitation on the type of sites we can run as well as they also don't have support to latest scripting language.

I am planning to have limitations on the types of sites that can be run, but I will also support most scripting languages (e.g. multiple versions of PHP).

The free hosting market nowadays is already saturated with these offers. How about a free VPS offering?

Unfortunately, offering free VPS(s) would be significantly harder/expensive for me.

It's a pretty good idea. But what will entice us to use you service over other services?

Strict guidelines, but quality servers. None of that overselling, overcrowded free hosting servers that 99% of free hosts have. Smiley

Re: [EXCHANGE] Have $300 Paypal want $275 BTC.
by
Ðire
on 19/10/2016, 00:08:29 UTC
Hello,

I want to trade my $300 on Paypal for $275 of BTC.
Need to invest into a few ICO'S and this will be a good start.

Please PM me or leave a comment below.

Unfortunately, PayPal is a reversible payment option and it is possible that any trade with PayPal and bitcoin will result in the PayPal holder to reverse the payment after receiving the coins (not accusing of you, though). If it's an available option to you, I'd advise for you to withdraw your funds in PayPal to your bank, and then try to wire the funds for bitcoin to traders.

Its impossible that you can exchange it here since mine is $40 no one can exchange even it's a small amount.. and i am high rank account..

Rank has little to nothing to do with trustworthiness. If you weren't able to trade that amount, then it's just a matter of potential traders not willing to initiate with you.
