There is already one NHL 2015/16 Regular Season Discussion thread here older than this. Continue your discussion there, no need for another thread.

Ok, I changed the title of this thread; I've already stated my desire to move away from regular season games. I'll be sure to post my picks in that thread too, thanks for the notice, sorry for missing it during my search.

I like Chicago to win the division and the championship,They are not playing the best hockey right now but I think they are a really decent team. Definitely a top pick IMO.

They're doing a lot better than most other teams this year, they might not win the cup again this year, but there's always a chance that some team might bust out of nowhere and take the win from under our noses (which could be the Blackhawks Wink ).. All the top teams are close in score, there's 11 points spread between 12th and 2nd, but Washington has a solid 14 points more than Dallas who's tied for second with St. Louis with 91 points.

This year's playoffs will be great for the US fans. With no Canadian teams in the lineup this year, Rogers is going to suffer a pretty big hit on ratings since they bought the rights for game broadcasting or something. Ottawa is the Canadian team with the most points right now, which is sad really..

I don't know if anyone saw it, but I followed the Tampa vs Toronto game last night... I'm actually embarrassed for the bolts, losing to the team in last place in the league.. I'm also pissed I lost that bet, oh well such is the game of luck  Smiley

You may be showing signs of gambling addiction. Please consider cutting your losses before it gets worse.

On the other hand, winning is always a possibility. Why not throw fuel on the fire, double or nothing means win or quit forever.

Re: Bank experience makes me love Bitcoin more

Made a mistake this morning and took out $200 from my credit instead of savings at the atm and put it right back as soon as I saw that I had made that mistake. Decided to phone them to get them to not charge me $3.5 for a stupid misclick. They refused because they could not see that I had done that, even though they could see the transactions before and after. Was like wtf you want to piss me off over $3.5!

Think how many people misclick in a day and those thieves rake it in with no remorse or sorry. The dude was even snotty with me.

Did I mention I hate banks.
You lost only $3.5 due to misclick.Imagine if it were bitcoin, you would have lost your entire $200 if you had mistakenly sent it to someone.
I love bitcoin but at the same time, I dont hate banks. Both can co-exist
I second this statement, even though banks are cheap and downright thieves most of the time, Bitcoin is much less forgiving of misclicks. Some banks are beneficial, mine has absolutely no fees, and is online banking and phone support only. ATMs are scarce, but still available. But that just goes to show, some banks can make a profit off you just having money with them, instead of charging some ridiculous amount of "service fees".

My uncle told me once, "cows are serviced when they are inseminated by bulls. service fees are the same as us getting screwed by the system."

Online gambling or offline gambling at a casino ? Or online live gambling ?? Which do you prefer and why ?
Personally i really should stay away from gambling unless im the house xP and to me offline gambling
seems the most dangerous and risky.

My personal preferences vary for my betting type. For cards, a casino setting is preferred. I also enjoy online betting for offline events, like on hockey and such. It seems to be easier to win money at sports betting if you can read the numbers properly. Also, knowing the teams helps too.
I only play hold'em mostly at casinos, sometime blackjack. I've only gone a few times, and have only lost once, but am still up more than $1200 on cards. I just keep playing that "know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em" song while I play. Keep a cool head too, and know the rules, feel the cards, watch how many are in play... There are so many tips, but ultimately it boils down to luck. Summon that shit like it's your pet goat.

Here's my recent experience:

After taking out $40 from their ATM, after paying the $3 fee, needing to break a $20 I politely asked a teller if she may do this for me. She says, "sure" and proceeds to ask for my account information. "I don't have a bank account here, I just used the ATM" I reply. The teller exclaims, "Oh, ok, can I just get two pieces of ID for our records". "No." I said, and stormed out accidentally slammed open the door too hard in my rage that it almost broke off the hinges.

Creating propositions for individual games is more work than I'm willing to put in. I'm done with that for now, and have instead created a couple propositions surrounding the playoffs, based on the winning team's division and conference. The op has been updated with some info, here are some links:

Division to win Stanley Cup Prediction:
https://www.betmoose.com/bet/nhl-division-to-win-stanley-cup-1809

Conference to win Stanley Cup Prediction:
https://www.betmoose.com/bet/nhl-conference-to-win-stanley-cup-1810

Playoffs start Wednesday, April 13th 2016, estimated to end June 15th 2016.
Bets close when Conference semi-finals start, estimated May 1st

Playoff Positions:
http://www.nhl.com/ice/stanleycup.htm?season=20152016&round=pst

League Standings:
https://www.nhl.com/standings/league

By the looks of it, Central division has the most teams in the highest league rankings and might be the winner of the Stanley Cup. The whole Western conference has a strong presence in the ranks this year, the chances of them winning are high I believe. It's pretty crap that there's still no Canadian teams in any position in the playoffs, but whatevs.

Happy betting, good luck to all bettors!

Tomorrow's game, Washington vs Los Angeles is going to be very close. I think Washington can pull of this win, but to be safe, I wouldn't bet a large amount on this game.

It was a good game, kings scored 3 points in the first period, then the capitals spent the whole game trying to catch up. Finally, Washington tied it at the end of the 3rd period; and LA secured the win in the shootout.

Good game indeed; this whole season has been tight, Canadiens beat out Dallas the other night, I was even shocked at that. Anaheim with their 11 game winning streak just last week.

FYI; for those who can't watch the games live: play-by-play, game and period info is available live on the game pages, https://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/2015021006

Good luck to this weekend's bettors, look out for the Blackhawks vs Stars game, currently the second and third ranked teams. That's gonna be a tight match for sure. Chicago Blackhawks [41-21-5] @ Dallas Stars [40-20-8]

I had this idea once that aliens are our creators and angels/watchers. I'm still on the fence about it, but from everything I read in the bible and other old manuscripts, it seems like aliens had a very heavy hand in the outcome of human life and civilization.

Looks like someone's confident the Blackhawks are going to win tomorrow's game against the Blues, they didn't waste any time betting on it. Roll Eyes
There are not many games to choose from on the 10th, just the habs game is the most evenly paired matchup.
For the next five games I bet on only home teams to win: Blues, Kings, Canadiens, Blues, Stars.

Good luck to any bettors,

Re: Bet on Canada's Cannabis Legalization 2016 (Current Pot: ฿0.015)
by

Article in the Provincial newspaper mentioned a few points related to thus topic.

Canada is part of a International legal framework on psychotropic drugs. Meaning legalization is not allowed but they can loosen sanctions.
Provincial and Federal would also need to get on the same page, that should take time in its self.

I almost see them just lowering the drug schedule. Trudeau's quoted as saying he'll remove it from the criminal code of Canada, but I'm highly doubtful of this.

I read yesterday's paper saying the CEO of NB Liquor is spearheading research into selling dope in his stores, which would be cool in a sense; better than the shoppers drug mart IMO, but still not better than having booze and dope separated and keep selling grass in out of dispensaries. It's hard to tell where this is all going at this time, it's interesting to see it unfold, and headlines are still being pressed out so it's not just sitting on the back burner.

NHL is one of the sports that I know the less. I would like to learn a little bit here.
If someone can, please post picks with a small review.

Assuming you already know the rules of hockey, and are looking for statistical information, the current season standings are found here: https://www.nhl.com/standings/league. On this table, you'll see some letters and numbers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_hockey_statistics). Take this with a grain of salt, I am by no means a professional. When hosting bets, I'll look for matchups with the closest [W-L-OT] stats. When betting, the stats that I look for are "GP - W - L - OT - HOME - AWAY - STRK". Depending on how lucky you feel, bet on either statistically superior teams, or bet on the underdog.

Take for example tomorrows matchups:

Edmonton Oilers [24-34-7]
Columbus Blue Jackets [26-30-8]
The numbers provided are just the [W-L-OT] stats which gives the impression that Columbus has a winning advantage.
Going further into the stats shows HOME:13-12-6 AWAY: 13-18-2 STRK: L1 which tells me that CBJ don't suffer from home-field-advantage, and currently on a one-game losing streak.
Looking now at Edmonton (second from last), HOME: 16-14-2 AWAY: 8-20-5 STRK: W2 which tells me that Edmonton sucks at away games and is on a two-game winning streak already.
By all means, it looks like Edmonton is going to lose but I bet on them anyway because why the hell not

Now take this information, and apply it to the other game that's being played, and you'll see an almost guaranteed win for Washington; however I included this matchup because there's only three games played on Friday and this matchup is between two top ranked teams.
New York Rangers [37-20-6] (Metropolitan Division)
Washington Capitals [47-12-4] (Metropolitan Division)

Montreal vs Ducks game starts soon, there's a BTC0.015 pot on that game, in favour of the Ducks. I won't be able to watch tonight's game, but last Sunday's game against the Leafs was wicked. I've been trying to find a video of the canceled goal, when the player hit the puck in the air from a goalie's rebound into the net.

Mark 3:29
"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation"

Can someone explain this bit? The blasphemer "hath never forgiveness" but he is only "in danger of eternal damnation".

If you're never forgiven, how can you not be eternally damned? If you're only "in danger of eternal damnation", then what can you do to get to heaven without being forgiven?

Luke 12:10
"And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven."

I still don't follow you can never be forgiven but at the same time only possibly be eternally damned? Being in danger of being hit by a bus is not the same as being hit by a bus.

"Danger is the general word for liability to all kinds of injury or evil consequences, either near at hand and certain, or remote and doubtful"

Thanks, I didn't know that meaning of "danger".  I'd always just thought it meant "possible negative consequence".

I was pointing out evil consequences bit in your Christian re-definition if the word danger.

Practice reading comprehension by reading from more than one book.
Are you suggesting that I hacked reference.com and changed a single word definition just to prove my point? Fuck off, for real. You were doing the exact same thing that Christians do: clinging onto one thread of an argument and calling it a point.
