This benefits and advantages that bitcoin has is because of its long run in cryptocurrency market. It gained the trust of many investors and other common people. Other altcoins can also achieve what bitcoin done, its just a matter of time and their form of marketing advertisement.

Re: Would you still buy Bitcoin?

Hey guys. I was asking my self "Should I buy Bitcoin now? What if it's gonna go down after I buy?". What do you think? Should I buy or wait?
I'm still waiting for the bitcoin's price to decrease before I buy it, base on its current price maybe at least $9k-10k (I don't know if it would really happen but I would wait still). Well I don't know if what I'm doing right now is the correct thing to do.

And then just this November, my friend convince me that I need to invest to bitcoin, and well I just do what he said.

October 29, 2017 Bitcoin price ranges from $6,000 - $6,100 and today, bitcoin price is now $7,000. Are you surprise?

I think, if only those people who planning to invest in bitcoin manage to notice this sudden increase. I think there is a high chance that they will start investing.

It is  not really that surprising to see bitcoin's price now. BTC1 = $13,199.00 . Totally not surprising and no regrets before.

Re: Bitcoin is changing the world.

Bitcoin will change the world, in some way it has already.
But it will never be the global cryptocurrency just because it is too slow and too resource intensive. If u look right now, only a small amount of humanity have invested in Bitcoins and some altcoins. Now think that the rest of the world are getting into it. Bitcoin cannot handle it. Maybe some other coin with an other technology can do it.
I think cryptocurrency at all will change the world definitely.

I agree with you. Bitcoin can be considered as the pioneer of cryptocurrency market but we still don't know if it can continue its status as number one cryptocurrency in the next few years. So it is not essentially the bitcoin that will change the world but, as koeb88 said, cryptocurrency can do.

Re: how safe is bitcoin to use with phone

So eventually bitcoin is gonna have to compete with credit cards and mobile payments. To do this people will need to have a bitcoin mobile app.

I know there are the lightweight wallet mobile apps. Are those any safe? Will those be the future. Or will the future be having a hosted service where the company has control over your bitcoin and you can just send them to pay with stuff with the mobile app? Like Square recent integration of Bitcoin.

I don't know what options are out there now. But it would seem to me that having a secure offline savings account coupled with a hosted mobile bitcoin service (checking account) for payments would make sense. I mean I guess obviously if you're making payments you can't have everything in cold storage so some compromises on security must be made.

Currently, I use an online wallet that also have a bitcoin exchange feature in it and also have an android/IOS version. It is originally just a payment app for billing and other business transactions. This wallet I used is secured are trusted by millions of people in our country.

Re: Do you USE your BTC?

As everyone knows one of the major problems with Bitcoin economy is hoarding. The idea of this poll is to find out whether the lack of spending in the BTC economy is mainly due to the lack of acceptance of Bitcoin payments, or is it that people can actually buy a good deal of stuff that they need with BTC but choose not to.

Well I think people just use their bitcoin when they are in really need of money. Bitcoin users know themselves, as well as you and me, that bitcoin's value is constantly changing, you may become a millionaire the next day or otherwise, become broke. So for me, what I do is spend some of my funds and invest the rest and take the risk. At least I've got something even if bitcoin market crashed.

Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin?
by

Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...

What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?

Thanks

Quitting your job to have more time in bitcoin is not really a bad move, IF you are a white collar worker or working in office with stressful environment and give you a little time for yourself. Well it is still risky to do that because if there is some unfortunate thing to happen to bitcoin, finding another job will be difficult, especially now a days. If you still want to have a stable income, I suggest that you can do less stressful and time consuming jobs like online buy and sell, blogging, micro jobs and other home jobs.

Re: Criminality and Bitcoin

https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

Bitcoin is neutral, the same with other technologies invented before. Any technologies can be use in either legal or illegal things. Despite of being a medium of crime, bitcoin is also used in legal businesses, the same with internet where we can find many criminal activities and yet a huge help in many people.

Re: The advantages of bitcoin

Bitcoin really does have many advantages, just look at what btc achieved now. Its users have freedom and have a full control over their funds, and as it is a decentralized, no one can manipulate it and users would not worry on what will happen on their money, unless they've become careless and indiscreet resulting for them to get scammed.
For those in business, bitcoin is also a huge advantage. Business transactions in btc cannot be reversed and also logged in the block chain which can be seen by public. These protects the user in fraudulent business transactions and avoid loss of money.
