Hey FairCoop friends!

It Christmas time and I want to say thank you to everybody who has put continuously a lot of time and effort into FairCoop and FairCoin during the last month. Therefore I would like to give to those selfless people who are working for it a little donation as a gift out of personal savings.
I thought about:

Thomas König @thokon00
Ale Fernandez @alefernandez
Enric Duran @efedin
Guy @guyjames
BumBum @bumbum
Michalis @mkassapakis
Maro @maro
Santi DDT @santiddt
Axel Helliger @alexhell
John Kuti @johnkuti
Antonio Hueso Diaz @tonyrosicooper
Tereseta @tereseta
Jack Liver @jack-liver
Ferdinand @ferdinand
Sauko @sauko
Anne Barbier @nanou
Pablo G Prieto @Biopablo
Luis Tiago @sede
Vitalista @vitalista
Dimitris @dkoukoul

To send the Faircoins I would need your individual Faircoin-address. So please send it to me in the FairNetwork. Because some people work “invisible” for FairCoop please let me know if I forgot somebody. And if somebody feels not to need it, tell me who would need it more (ideally inclusive Faircoin-address).
Merry Christmas and a good Fair Start in 2016,
SuperMario

Meanwhile the price of #bitcoin has moved around 25% up or down the last 24 hours, in getfaircoin is the same 1 EUR = 200 FAIR #faircoin

Good data to analysis  Wink

If faircoin can show that it is not as volatile as "normal" cryptos with a healthy value increase even the last speculators will lose interest in speculating with it. Getfaircoin is pretty cool to have a reference price and an anchor in the hands of faircoop so its less vulnerable to the 'sell high buy low game' and individual profit maximazation like it goes on with bitcoin Smiley

The p2p foundation has published today a new website focused in the commons transitions and FairCoop is present by different ways. Here is the main page -> http://www.commonstransition.org

– In the projects related with the name “commons transition network” http://commonstransition.org/#related-projects

– With a page (coming from this related projects link) http://commonstransition.org/portfolio/faircoop/

– In a new interview that has been published with me -> http://commonstransition.org/fairness-and-the-commons-an-interview-with-enric-duran/  “Fairness and the Commons”

Also, very interesting to see all the articles related Commons transitions where are involved some of the Faircoop friends :-)

very informative website and a very good interview. thanks for sharing Enric Smiley

Can anybody tell me how minting works?
I had 73498 FAIR total in my wallet (recovered from Mintpal v1) divided by 2 transactions (50 000 + 23 498).
After 24 days (why 24?) the 50k part of my balance became "transaction is mature".
Today they minted 88 FAIR (why 88?) and 206 FAIR (why 206?) in a few hours. After that there appeared two new transactions for every old transaction in the minting view. Old ones were divided by 2 and there are now 4 transactions (25103, 25103, 11793, 11793).
And they are all zero age!
I have to wait for 24 days again to mint something else?

Hey amartinz!

Have a look here: https://fair.coop/faircoin/

There it is explained as follow:

Mint Faircoins

You can participate as a FairCoin active node anytime by using the software on your computer, waiting for 21 days, and then start minting. Meanwhile, you can participate by mining (POW).

After 21 days, if your coins haven’t been moved from your wallet, you can begin contributing to the network with POS. At that moment your wallet will begin to have a % chance of minting which will be reflected in the official “minting view” tab on the faircoin wallet.

Wallets with the most faircoins are likely to find a block faster. Another factor affecting the chances of finding blocks is the concept of “age”, which makes minting probability grow each day after day 21, up to day 90.

Notice that once you discover a new transaction block, its minting status is set back to 0 and the process starts over.
