Re: M's Ant (S1/S2/S3) Monitor v3.7: alerts,auto/mass/scheduled reboots/multithread

I discovered about 10 minutes ago as well 2 of the mners (one of which was the one giving the error) had the same hostname. I doubt that makes a difference, but I havechanged it to what it is supposed to be. I'll let you know how it goes either sometime tonight or when I get up in the morning when I see how its doing.

Thanks.  Grin

Great I'll test it out right now!!!

But my refresh was set to 300 seconds not 30. You can see the picture that it is showing 266 seconds until next reboot.

Hi again, OK I just got back from dropping off my wife, and since my last post that i was turning it on, it received n error on the same IP and is frozen again even with the reboot on error message during refresh disabled.

I should probably mention, that the program was frozen when I got to it, so it's possible the program got the error 44 minutes after reboot. It was non responsive I could click and change everything but it would not refresh anymore. clicking refresh did nothing.

I'll turn it back on now and see how it handles the Noon reboot. I have disabled the option to "Try to reboot ants that get error on refresh"

Well I've got a few screen shots to show you on an error thats happening heres the following 3 screen caps, which show a situation 44 minutes after a midnight reboot where one Ant S3(+) gave an error on refresh, (Cap 1 shows this) 2nd cap shows the settings for reboot credentials, 3rd cap shows the program looks like its in an endless 1 second loop with internal error. Let me know if you require anything more from me.

Screen Cap 1
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p635/Paul_MacDonald/120amafterreboot44minutesago.jpg

Screen Cap 2
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p635/Paul_MacDonald/settigns.jpg

Screen Cap 3
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p635/Paul_MacDonald/logofwonky1secondinterval.jpg

For the record when I found the error, the ant that gave an error was up and running fine. That's not to say it didn't drop for a tiny bit of time but my graphs don't reflect a drop in hash rate so if anything happened internally with the miner, it was a very minimal interruption.

Just saw the update. replaced v3.5 with it testing it over the next few days before the vacation starts, to reboot every 12 hours.

OK terrific app. I am looking for one thing based on update notes, mass reboot I think it said? I just started using v3.5

How do I implement either the Ant S3(+) to reboot every 12-24 hours automatically either through this program, or internally.

I am planning a vacation, and want to make sure they reboot daily or twice a day, because I'm unable to monitor them when not at home that I know of at least (That I am aware of, but that's is another option, I would like if it is available).

If I can make this happen, to automatically reboot, I will happily make a donation to the apps maker M

I can not get the automated emails to work either for some reason. Seems simple enough but I just do not get the email.

And this also constantly shows up yet they do not actually reboot. I assume this shows up because I have "Don't reboot more than every" 240 Seconds. (When there is an error )

Maybe someone out here can give me some suggestions that I haven't tried yet.

All my miners S3. and 4 S3+ all stopped working at the same time. I can't remember what lead to it, but they all started chirping in unison beep beep beep non stop until I turned the power off or whatever I did, I forget, (I have been up 28 hours, and memory is getting foggy on what the specifics of the bomb was)
They power up, look to connect, green flickers yellow is on as well no red led's unless I am just turning power on. They are/were/are again on powerline internet. I swapped out a range extender which worked perfectly in my sons garbage pail of a bedroom Smiley.

I can not get into them, they are not connecting to Slush or any of the fail-over pools. The fans are almost idle. They aren't hashing obviously. but the internet is there.

I can not log into any of them. I had ending IP's from 94-98 used, always leaving 99 open for a new unit should one appear at the door one day.

Is there a hard reset, and if so, exactly how do I do it? I know there is a pin hole, beside the Ethernet port somewhere i stuck a thin nail in one of them, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated, going on 18 hours downtime now no hashing.

Thanks in advance.

Would someone be able to tell me how and where to apply the instructions to get one of my standard S3 to reboot every 6 hours?
It shuts down every so often and like today I was sleeping while it was down for 5 hours.

I remember someone made a post with some text on reboot for a 12 hour span (If I recall correctly), but it didn't specify where to put this information.
Pretend I'm a blank slate, I don't know anything about this stuff, i read directions and do exactly what it says to do. If a step is missing or everyone knows that something is implied, I'm not that guy Smiley I need to know where to put the instructions to perform the reboot.

Thanks for your time in advance.

personally I am looking at the rockminer T1 780-840ghs. I have very cheap electricity and worry less about watts/ghs than most. and for 0.9btc shipped and in stock I cant really argue.

They want to be paid 812 mBTC, where would you get this? I have seen it bot can't locate it. cex.io does not seem to have them for trading.

Thanks.

And yes once I saw Bitmain dumped the other couriers, and charge about .5 btc or more to ship to me. They are no longer my choice or or an option. I was all over it until I saw the price to ship and who was shipping, UPS are ridiculous for Broker fees.

hey can anyone help me they set the default shipping to the hosting place and now they are gonna ship my s4 to some where else i need it sent to my home i dont need help hosting what do i do?Huh?

Change the drop box to UPS or whatever carrier you want if the option is there. I missed it initially there as well, but look up there is a drop box to change carrier and change what you need. Shipping is rudely expensive. Its like $180 to me, and only UPS available and they are virtually criminals when it comes to crossing borders and their charges.

One of my antminer s1 upgrade kits isn't working. I think it has something to do with the fact that it is showing 4 chains in the miner status. Please help:

From what I have been reading, the most common thing is to make sure you update to the latest firmware. Or it wont work at all.

by

@wasikidding, everything you said I appreciate. I may have mis-worded something though.

Slush has not paid me out 3 times, but there have been 3 completed sessions for the 24th, the most recent completion actually happened on the 25th based on Slush time zone. The first took 4h 24min, second took 1h 6min, third took 4h 19min all time stamped for the 24th. I have not been paid out so to speak because my payout is higher then they total. But the balance for each session is sitting in my balance on Slush.
So what I was under the impression is that each completed session was a block that was completed or solved. I initially commented on it because the original poster to my post said "So far I don't even think we have had single block all day", but don't the completed sessions = 3 blocks solved or finalized?
I appreciate your patience with me. Thanks

Boy I really threw a monkey wrench into this party heh ?

Every time I change pools I have that effect, I'm like a "cooler" at the casinos.
The guy they have on hand to screw things up when a customer starts winning too much.
I'm running on such a slim margin now that I'm chasing the last BTC...
But sadly it is not coming... soon the power to BTC ratio will win and we all loose.
Such is life, easy come easy go !
Bob

I'll never quit mining.   There's always profit in it.

However this is pathetic.   So far I don't even think we have had single block all day.   Tongue.    Its either going over 7ph/s or w.e and we go mad slow.     Or somebody is bringing us terrible luck.  Or you really dumb pool hoppers.  Hopping won't help you make money faster or more efficient mining.

This is lame though Tongue oh well it'll pick back up again, it always does.    But i doubt its not going to get any  better before the diff rise in about 1/2  day to 1 day.

We have had 3 payouts so far today. I, not being extremely versed in many aspects, assume that means we have had 3 so far today?
I can google it I suppose, but what is the benefit if you specifically find a block. I have 1 found somewhere when I first joined. Just wondering if there is a bonus or just a stat for you to follow? Also what does it mean TX Fees + VarDiff? I am guessing VarDiff, is variable Difficulty based on your hash rate? Just a shot in the very dark Smiley...Dont flame me please just trying to learn as I go. Thanks in advance for the serious replies.

Lets wait and see if they adjust the BTC price of the S3+ to make the S4 more attractive. Can't wait to see what they do there. But I hope not, I was planning to try to buy 4 more S3+'s.
They owe me a replacement fan and said they would ship it when I place my next order. Which I told them was fine, but not if they jack the price up.

Back up--S4 pricing updated to $1450.

Very much not interested at that price.

Agreed 4 x S3+ at the current value if still .58 is only $997, and I have mine clocked at 250 frequency doing 500Gh some under a hair some over a hair in last 24 hours
