Re: The Cypherfunks[FUNK]: a coin for a global band! Talking v2. Join! 80+ songs

Hello, Y'all.

I'm curious as to why the block explorers are showing the chain stuck at 830936, and also if anyone has any info on when/if Cryptopia is going to get the wallet out of "migration" status? I had FUNK sitting for a long time, currently resyncing. From the looks of things, I'll find out whether the block explorers are wrong in a few minutes, I'm almost up to 800000 Cheesy

I had been involved in several coins a few years back, most of 'em are dead now. Glad to see at least a couple still live!

I could probably be persuaded to put up an MPOS pool if the community is interested. Get things moving a bit, hopefully.

The diff is stuck at 1995 at block 830936. I can't help but think someone just threw a couple of GH/s against the network for a couple of hours without really checking the network.. nothing to do but wait until we find a block!

To hopefully speed it up a little, I've gone and rented a rig for a couple of hours and started mining at.. my own FUNK pool which has always been available: http://cypherfunks.p2p.0x0a.nl:36363/static/ Wink
I suppose an MPOS pool would be welcome though!

I was asked by a friendly supporter of GAME to set up a p2pool node, which I did over at:

http://gamecredits.p2p.0x0a.nl:40004 and http://node2.gamecredits.p2p.0x0a.nl:40004 (both 0.5% fee)

They're chugging along healthily, and with the help of E-Pool's GAME p2pool node (http://p2pool.e-pool.net:8897/) operator, we're now forming a three-node strong decentralized pool! Please let me know (preferably by PM) if you have any suggestions / questions / etc.

Hi guys!

I got a mail from Simon yesterday about 0x0a not processing transactions anymore. I've looked into it for an hour or two, it indeed seemed to have been the case, but I couldn't figure out why; so eventually I just decided to restart the cypherfunks daemon (it had been running many months). Now it seems we're back on track: block 289044 (hash 5b26a9674b7ca1922a6920d92ef879780c551c854fd7c5d96ab38122c8369d79) contains transaction hexes 4d8255e2dc894375168d02923e1ab127ec1850537132452ac82205336f3035ad (p2pool payout) and 4784b8e26be02a0a314fda0b415f98fe6c96b1eb90b80478e6fd02cff2388405, a normal transaction to CGVFXhFdekX8kNC1fxZN4T3eqxboB3u5bK and CXfgJPSbY1C5paVwiSHnm942tJPyK9xSfy. Same for blocks 289046 / 289047; those too contain transactions.

I'll definitely keep an eye on this, and I really appreciate having been pung (ponged? .. alerted) to this issue. Let me know if things start to sour again Smiley

Hi guys,

I got a message from a miner at http://penguincoin.p2p.0x0a.nl:49544/ that payments stopped coming in. Turns out penguincoind was fresh out of peers. To remedy this, I opened up the firewall so that penguincoin.p2p.0x0a.nl can serve as a public node. You can add it using the same addnode statements;

addnode=penguincoin.p2p.0x0a.nl

Let's make the network a little stronger! Smiley

I would like to suggest people to not add more hashing power to guldenpool, because it approaches the 50%. Criptoe is a nice alternative.

Second, I think someone needs to weed out the dead pools on the first page.

Indeed, http://guldenpool.nl:27100 is pretty much maxed out at this point. As I told a certain friendly member of club1680, I do have another node setup at http://node2.guldenpool.nl:27100, but AFAIK it would still be feasible to perform a >50% attack as long as I have control of both daemons. If anyone wants to set up another p2pool node, I'll gladly help out!

An update on the longest block gap.
Thanks Markanth for fresh data at http://nlgstats.iblogger.org/

Code:
+-----------------------------------------------------------------+-------------------------------+
|                     NLG blocks mined per day                    |  longest block gap of the day |
+---------+---------+-----------+----------+-----------+----------+-----------+-------------------+
|   date  | total # |  Gf7wGA # | Gf7wGA % |  GNDA5M # | GNDA5M % |   block   |        gap        |
+---------+---------+-----------+----------+-----------+----------+-----------+-------------------+
|  Oct 02 |   527   |    383    |  72.68%  |     59    |  11.20%  |   127657  |     56 minutes    |
|  Oct 03 |   568   |    415    |  73.06%  |     62    |  10.92%  |   127682  |    107 minutes    |
+---------+---------+-----------+----------+-----------+----------+-----------+-------------------+

On October 2 all blocks were found within 60 minutes.
On October 3 block 127682 was found by HCM (nice work!), but they found also block 127677 in 12 seconds (okay, that means no bonus this time).

Starting with 20,000.00000000 NLG I have only one bonus of 1999.37100002 NLG left on GaPNjn5nZTJto8wJro3S5FfFPYpk74y5Ub.
It's somewhat time consuming. That's why I have decided to find another destination for that last bonus.
Are there any suggestions?

All miners thanks for building a strong Guldencoin network.

I suggest you give it to Biomike, for buying all that hashing power and keeping rates stable...

Thanks CIG for the initiative, I think bringing incentives to the table regarding net health was a great idea and had a positive effect on the community as well Smiley I'm glad that guldenpool.nl could be a part of that, for which I'd like to extend my gratitude to the miners - in particular to BioMike whose efforts has been nothing short of heroïc. I absolutely agree that he should be the recipient of the last bonus!

I finally got p2pool working again! MrData helped me tremendously on IRC by figuring out what was going wrong protocol-wise, but there was still a little issue with hash target sizes which seems to be present in p2pool-rav itself for scrypt coins.. There are just a couple different files with a handful of differing lines, but it's enough to cause some trouble. Since it's working now I'll try to figure out what the important part is so I can commit it to https://github.com/CryptographicAnomaly/p2pool-rav, but it won't be before tomorrow. In the meantime, you're welcome at http://cga.p2p.0x0a.nl:6966/ Smiley (I've lowered the fee to 0.5%)!
Is that V2?  Just want to make sure when i post to the OP

My p2pool node at http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100 hasn't been doing too well (by which I mean, no miners). In order to make it a bit more appealing, I acquired the domain guldenpool.nl - so you can now reach it at http://guldenpool.nl:27100. I've also lowered the fee from 0.9% to 0.5%. Perhaps it doesn't change much about how well p2pool is currently doing, but if the annoying domain name was the one thing holding you back - a warm welcome to you  Wink!

Also, it would be great if someone could set up another p2pool node (or multiple someones & nodes even). Spekske's commit made it into Rav3nPL's p2pool repository, so you can now get it from https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav as well as https://github.com/Spekske/p2pool-spek.

http://guldenpool.nl:27100/static/ gives a loop atm Wink

Ouch, made a stupid mistake.. Should be good now!

Hi guys! Really glad to see CGA is on the roll. I'll gladly put up p2pool settings for V2 on https://github.com/0x0aNL/p2pool-0x0a by the time the source is released, and of course set up a node. The V1 node I've currently got up is listed as http://149.210.168.71:23932/static/ but can also be reached at http://cga.p2p.0x0a.nl:23932 and may be branded as 0x0a  Wink

When in my wallet will be the payment of p2Pool http://penguincoin.p2p.0x0a.nl:49544?
A copy of Friday, I see my address wallet, the amount of Peng and synchronized wallet 2668.33931926 nothing.
Wallet of sync the first to know.

Hi mruk, apologies for the slow response. The amount you see next to your address in the "Payout" tab is what you would get if a block were found right now. Payouts happen during block creation, i.e. when a block is found your address is added as one of the recipients of the block reward. Sadly it has been a while since a block has been found on http://penguincoin.p2p.0x0a.nl:49544  Sad the p2pool network needs some hashing power to find blocks. With the current net hash rate of ~3 mH/s it wouldn't have to be much; a few dozen kH/s might be enough. Crudely put, your payout is pending on someone to come along with enough power to find a block.  Undecided

http://dutchpool.org:27100 P2Pool for NLG has been updated to V1.2.0.0
If you want to run your own NLG P2Pool node you can find the settings here: https://github.com/Spekske/p2pool-spek

I've updated http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100 to v1.2.0 - - thanks Spekske! Need something heavier than my laptop to really confirm it's working (all are welcome) but otherwise it's looking good!
Does P2Pool also have an api? Would like to add it to the overview on http://mining.wptestblog.nl

Yes, all the information in the frontend is gathered through JSON calls. You can check out the javascript on one of the frontends or on http://p2p.0x0a.nl/#about/coin/gulden . I can help out if necessary later on  Smiley

http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100 is accepting shares and running on the latest wallet (v1.1.7.0). It's been about three weeks though since anyone came along to mine  Cry By the way, I'm using Spekske's p2pool source from https://github.com/Spekske/p2pool-rav except with BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS set to gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl since Spekse's p2pool server is no longer running. I hope to put it up on my github later this week so that it's easier for others to set up p2pool nodes - p2pool can use a little push Wink

I tried pointing my gridseeds at your server but it's not working for me.. thus the comment 'stratum still alive?'.  I use cgminer 3.7.2 (nicehash built binary) on linux.  your entry in my config file is as follows:

"pools" : [
        {
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100",
                "user" : "GXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX",
                "pass" : "X"
        }
]

when I look at the entry for this pool in pool management I get the following:

4: Enabled Dead Quota 1 Prio 4: stratum+tcp://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100  User:GXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

When turning on verbose display I see the following:

[2014-07-29 22:28:35] Testing pool stratum+tcp://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100
 [2014-07-29 22:28:36] Pool 4 difficulty changed to 0.040756
 [2014-07-29 22:28:36] Pool 4 JSON stratum auth failed: {
   "message": "Service not found",
   "data": null,
   "code": -32601
}

maybe old version of cgminer is the problem?..  I usually mine at hardcoreminers which works fine.

Oh dear. I've tested with cudaminer and cpuminer which works fine but cgminer should work as well. You could use http instead of stratum+tcp but of course stratum is better. I'll look into it tonight.
