So my wallet hasn't been able to sync for two weeks. I have deleted both peers and re did boot strap. Are there any nodes I can add?
First just to cover the bases. Are you running the latest wallet? Have you checked your firewalls on your pc and or your router to make sure that upnp is enabled or the right ports are manually forwarded? If the previous has been covered you can grab a list of known nodes from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pot/#!network and add them either manually or copy/pasta them into your potcoin.conf file in your data folder.
online and synced, thanks

Say what you will about me and me not having any difference to this guy, but just to clarify so that i can do the same thing elsewhere, do the mods allow such spam ?

1024kb - your first part proved you owned the allcryptocoins.ca domain. Therefore it seems likely that you are allcryptocoins.

I am not him, but he is a friend of mine. Did some research as well.
Looks like they simply didn't re register their domain name, then someone else did, hence access to all emails, and then access to twitter via pw reset. So no hack at all really.
The power of research is amazing eh
The domain wasn't even close to expiring. I'll have a third party well known member of our community verify this is actually me soon.
The domain was NOT expired and our password was NOT compromised at the registrar level.
Not only that, you can let a domain expire and they give you a grace period. Been there. Done that many times.
For some reason I had you ignored. Either way, you're right. On top of that when the domain is expiring they send you almost daily notices. Even the crappy registrars. It's very hard to "let a domain expire" without being aware of it expiring.
You can transfer a domain between registrars as long as you have it unlocked at the current registrar and you provide a transfer code to the new registrar (usual method although different registrars may handle that differently). Sounds to me like they did something to the current registrar which allowed it to be transferred. Whether that means they hacked them or social engineered it or what I don't know. As soon as it is transferred it would show a new registration date at the new registrar.
As far as using the MX record to intercept email that still requires a mail server at the destination IP which takes some effort. Once they had re-registered the domain, changing the MX record would be trivial though. Right now I show the mx record pointed at 54.204.22.76 which appears to be one of many mail server IP's for a place called mail.b-io.co. I don't know anything about that place so I don't know if you could just setup an account and start receiving email there for a domain you "owned".
offical logs from the cf registrar dont show anything at all, no transfer out etc. someone, someone good, sure knew what they were doing.

oh i agree, you only get about eleventy billion notices

Trust me, our registration was good until half way through this year. Someone did something way more sinister than that.
no offence, im just trying to help, to change a reg date is kinda odd, as it has to be unregistered or re registered within the expiry date to change the date.
Who do you think did this??
Don't want to point any fingers at the moment. All signs point to a reseller of our registrar right now.
We have no idea though right now and are just working diligently to have all of our access logs archived at the moment.
Ahhh, so not allcryptocoins as some have suggested here
He will be invested regardless. I let various Alberta RCMP detachments know about what happened allcryptocoins. I'm sure they will investigate in the manner. Thanks for the screen shots guys, I have forwarded them.
lol too funny. good luck with that, oh i see your offering 190% return, seems legit.

Either way, he's still a douchebag.

Honestly, I won't speculate. I'll leave it to law enforcement to make a determination when that time comes.
It isn't my place to determine who it was. I just need to make sure we are fixing the issue and getting the appropriate materials to the appropriate law enforcement entities.
I do find it sad that Hashtalk will ban people for asking questions but won't ban threads that are celebrating with glee this hacking.
Honestly I'm sure it will, not many mods around there lately.

Can you give us an update as to what's happening with the twitter account and domain?
Twitter account is me. Domain is not. I used an offsite email address for bitcoin talk. I use very secure passwords, always generated, always at least 13 characters.
The only accounts compromised were email (because they controlled MX records) and Twitter (because they then controlled email). Everything else was always in a silo. Separate passwords, never reused anywhere, always use encryption.
We take security very seriously after the last hacks. We are unsure how the person was able to reregister our domain but we've got tickets in with the registrar.
The domain was registered under an email address not connected to me in anyway and not available via who-is and that account is still secure as well.
This took someone really going to great lengths to pull off getting the domain.
regardless what I think of your "articles", sorry to hear that man. Hope they find out who it was

seems like just that, oh wait that MUST be proof it was him then, if you are going to which hunt just get real proof, server logs, domain registrar emails, email trail, something, its really not an unfair thing to ask for ... proof.
This is not a courtroom you muppet. We don't need to prove anything else than you being a shill or a sock for allcryptocoins, hence your word is worth absolutely nothing.
Now whether allcryptocoins hacked something or not - that's another story, and one for proper authorities to take care of. Not some random forum thread with some random sockpuppets showing up on cue.
what make my defense of him worth any less then your accusation?. It's hard to think lots of people know him in real life eh?. Weird. Until I see actual proof that it was him, I will not slander him in anyway, I am not that silly and don't have that much money to lose.
I am curious though, are you basing this accusation on nothing more then forum and twitter posts? <---- Serious Question
Are you talking to me? Show me where I accused "him" - whoever it is - and what exactly I accused "him" of?
Then we can go from there.
To avoid your further public embarrassment we can do this via PM.
no need to pm. Def got my quotes mixed up, sorry about that, point and question remains though.
You can't have it both ways. Ostensibly the reason they hacked coinfire is because they ran a fake news fud report just to hurt paycoin. So then the hacker turns around and validates the whole story by "naming the source"? Just goes to show that hacking is more about what you know than necessarily how smart you actually are.
I know him , hes a nice guy, lots of people know him, he wouldn't have done that. Show proof or its all bullshit, seems simple right?
Great, then you have nothing to worry about. Have a nice weekend.
lol yup, so you have no proof, just slandering based on nothing, enjoy court buddy.
court? wow, that certainly made you angry, huh? Geez, go have a beer it's a friday, and the show is just getting started!
lol i will in about 3 hours, and no not mad, just dont take shit from internet tough guys, best way to stop that is having the police show up at their door. Amazing how many internet tough guys cry like babies when the police show up lol. That gif of the hands on face is awesome though.
I'm embarrassed for you dude. What are you going to tell the police? This guy named suchmoon on bitcoin talk suggested that my friend might be involved in a hacking attempt can you please put an APB out on him.
lol, No once there is proof it was not him all this becomes "slander" and can then be sued for, the police take it from there. Keep talking it all helps
