There's no easy road to smoke stopping. It's more psychological than anything else.

There are drugs out now that help someone stop smoking, and there's e-cigs.

I think the only way to truly quit smoking is to take a remote vacation / retreat somewhere for 1 month. If you can quit for 1 month, then you're good. Your body will have gone through withdrawal and it's all done.

i think people relapse after that, though...

Bitcoin is not a pump and dump coin, wtf?

It's just that the media FUDs and FOMOs a lot. People are still figuring out how to deal with crypto, so huge companies do drastic things all the time. Like Google Ban, Singapore trade reversals, etc.

We're just in the wild west. No intentional pump and dump.

This is probably the worst time to sell anything man. It's a bear market. If you really need the money though, then sell. Life > Crypto.

I would hodl for a month or two -- that's like forever in crypto. See if you catch the bull market beginning to blossom.

I, myself, am still justed on so many of my holdings. But I sold some because now im trying to buy for lower. You can do that -- but you have to be sure that it's going to fall to a lower price...

It's crypto, dude. People want to read blogposts, not ebooks. They're all about fast info and fresh stories.

Besides, I don't really think an eBook would be appropriate. There's not that much info on ICO investment. I mean, if there was an eBook, it would be filled with filler and analogies, ancedotes, just to get the book above the 5k word KDP threshold.

But someone could probably write a 2k-word blogpost on it and cover the whole eBook without the needless narration.

You're posting in Bitcoin Discussion, so I assume you're talking about buying Bitcoin for the cheapest price...

I'm not sure that's possible since BTC is probably the one coin that's got a solid price across most exchanges.

Plus, it's hard to buy BTC with fiat on most exchanges, because there are only a select few that allow you to deposit fiat: Kraken, Coinbase, Korean exchanges, Japanese exchanges.

If you're looking to buy bitcoin via paypal or some trading like that, localbitcoins is a good bet.

If you're talking about old money versus new money. It's a term often used to describe people who come from long-standing wealthy families = old money. New money are new entrepreuners who have just come into wealth (rags to riches stories) like bitcoin investors from 2010, startups that flew high, and lottery winners.

I don't see a problem with the government creating a centralized crypto. If anything, it improves the current fiat system. I actually like the idea, because it adds security to our current monetary systems.

But, anyone who believes in bitcoin will instantly stray away from these centralized currencies. That means that people will remain loyal to decentralized cryptos.

So I think it's not really a big fear if the gov'ts make centralized currencies.

Well-said. I do believe that you're right. All cryptos in the red will go green as long as they're not scams.

BCH is tied to Bitcoin for some reason. I guess it's because they're forks of each other, so maybe there's a mechanism that links them when it comes to trading. I don't know.

But I guess, since they use the same private and public addresses, people are apt to link them. So I guess that's one psychological reason why bitcoin's price is linked to BCH's.

I haven't been a fan of bitcoin cash for a long time, and that isn't changing. If you look in Google Play, there's a bitcoin wallet pushed out by Roger Ver. But it's sneaky -- the wallet is a BCH wallet only... but he's peddling it as a bitcoin wallet. That means people may download it and use it as a bitcoin wallet... and then are forced to use BCH. I think that's very underhanded.

That said, BCH has a very strong support that no one can deny. They've brainwashed many people to their cause. They have multiple Chinese mining farms on their side...

They're definitely a force not to be reckoned with. That said, I do believe we'll see BCH rise to $4k by the end of this bear market.

For the short term, I believe it will rise with BTC's price. If btc can make it back to 14k, then BCH will be 12k yes.

I tell them to just hodl. And when they don't listen, I just tell them tat they can sell if they want to, but look at the price history... it always goes back up. I show them that i'm still hodling long term. If they still want ot sell, their losses are on them.

And usually they continue to hodl.

In my post, I neither stated that Binance was or was not hacked. I simply mentioned the Binance FUD, which was real -- people were FUD'ing.

And yes, Binance did suspend withdrawals. That also happened. And, I was merely stating that it's what contributed to the price dump.

Slovenians make up less than 1 percent of the world's population. That said, it's hard for them to compete with Europe, much less America and Asia.

I can see why they'd raise this statue in honor of the bitstamp founders. It's a really great feat that these people from Slovenia could build one of the biggest crypto exchanges that people all over the world use.

I, too, think that btc will fall a lot more. I think It will hit at least 7k. I think the tax season has a lot to do with it... but mostly it's that Binance FUD. I mean, Binance is one of the biggest exchanges, asides from Bittrex.

So with binanace not allowing withdrawals, we're talking about lots of people scared to deposit or trade because they don't know if they can withdraw ever.

Warren Buffet doesn't really do tech analysis.

My friend is really into Buffet and he says that buffet's main rule is: Don't buy something you don't believe in or understand.

And that's the gist.

In buffet's book, he just diversifies his investments and only buys into stocks/investments that he understands and believes in.

I believe if we all followed that path with crypto, we probably would find our 100x.

That said, Confido was something people could've detected if they used this rule. Confido had broken links and no working examples. But the website had promises and good development.

Most people in crypto just jumped in because they trade on headlines instead of on fundamentals.

It's always good to diversify your investments. If OP knew that, he wouldn't ask "Bitcoin or Real estate" but rather: "More bitcoin or more real estate?"

If you know both Bitcoin and Real Estate are solid investments, then if you were safe, smart, then you'd invest in both for a well-balanced, diversified portfolio.

Not for a second do I believe you're a schoolteacher. You know that going into crypto is basically gambling. And if it's not gambling, then it's a high-risk trade endeavor, like penny stocks.

For a teacher to condone such an activity is heinous.

Even if you believe in bitcoin. even if you believe in blockchain currencies... you would never encourage your students to get into crypto in the way you're suggesting. You would tell them to buy a little bit, maybe $10, something they can afford to lose. But you would never responsibly tell them to invest a whole lot.

As you've seen Bitcoin can go from 20k to 6k in only 2 months. What kind of teacher would be happy their students are getting into that kind of thing?

This is stress and risk that only people who are mature and responsible, and NOT in school, should deal with. Not students who are still learning.

This reminds me of the Cryptopia thingie. It's probably not the exchange's fault, but rather, the users who are hacked themselves.
