The Arcade seems to be broken.

I just set a new highscore in Twitch Tetris (see attached screenshot) but it's been telling me "Redirecting to scores page" for about 10 minutes now.

Username is 1337ingDisorder

Please ensure my highscore is registered! That was an excellent game, I'd like to be able to tell people that dreamybids.com didn't cheat me out of a bunch of bids...

[EDIT] Could not reach support online (the Contact Us form appears to be broken) so I gave a call to the phone number listed on the Contact Page.

A real human answered, and was immediately helpful. Unfortunately the system itself is not as helpful as its dev/rep.. Apparently when you start a game it doesn't count, you first have to click a relatively-small, out-of-the-way link to pay your two bids in order for the game to count.

As such I spent half an hour setting an amazing high-score in one of the best tetris runs I've ever had, and was excited about the likelihood of that highscore paying off in bids, only to find out that the score didn't count.

On the plus side the dev is very responsive, and was receptive to my suggestion of having games default to counting as valid games, and having a "Play for free" link where the "2.00 Bids - Click here to play" link is currently located. Hopefully that gets fixed soon -- won't affect me much now that I know I need to "inset a quarter" for the game to count, but it'll definitely reduce frustration in future users, which means more people failing to beat my highscore Wink

We're rolling out our new Referral Rewards program at Pool-Anything.com and everyone's invited!

http://Pool-Anything.com is a cryptocurrency betting parlour where players can join (or create) Office-Pool style bets on just about anything from sports to TV to politics or anything else that can be proven objectively to determine a winner.

The Referral Rewards program enables you to earn Bitcoins, Litecoins, and DigitalCoins for free by simply recommending Pool-Anything.com to others.

When you create an Affiliate Referrals account you will be given a custom URL that links to Pool-Anything.com which you can give to your friends, family, or anyone else who likes to participate in Office Pools. You can even use social media like Facebook Ads and Google AdWords to promote your links.

Whenever someone clicks on your link to visit Pool-Anything.com, you will receive a percentage of every bet they place! The more they bet, the more you earn.

For more information visit our Affiliate Referrals page here:

http://Pool-Anything.com/?landing=referrals

Also note that you can create custom betting pools specifically for your link campaigns. For example, you could create a "High Rollers" pool with a high buy-in price to maximize your income if bets are taken, or you could create a pool titled "Who will die next in True Blood?" specifically to post the link in "True Blood" fan forums.

Your earning potential is limited only by your own imagination!

Bet on *ANYTHING* -- Bitcoin Betting Pools - Sports, TV, Politics, etc

I'm launching a new Bitcoin betting site:

http://Pool-Anything.com

Players can bet on existing pools or can create new betting pools about pretty much anything.

Players who do not win can still receive Consolation Prizes by upvoting the winning slot.

We currently support betting in BTC, LTC, and DGC.

Click here for full rules and details, or read on for a general description:

When a pool ends, any players who participated in the pool can vote to confirm the winning slot. This helps everyone get their prizes faster, and any players who take the time to upvote the winner will be included in the Consolation Prize for that pool.

The basic goal is to have a way for participants to verify and complete their own pools (and to receive a reward for taking the time to do so even if they didn't win).

The winner of a pool gets 80% of the total pot, another 10% becomes the Consolation Prize and is divvied up evenly among all players who upvoted the winning slot. The remaining 10% is the house rake, it covers network transfer fees and server hosting costs (as well as hopefully making me stinking rich in the long run!)

An example of winnings would break down like this: Given a pool with 10 betting slots and a buy-in of 1 BTC, the total jackpot would be 10 BTC if all slots get taken. The winner would receive 8 BTC for his 1 BTC bet, and if all other 9 players take the time to upvote the winner then they each receive 0.111 BTC as their consolation prize.

The prizes are disbursed immediately upon the last vote being submitted, so by voting you help everyone get their prizes faster. The confirmation window lasts for 24 hours after the end of a pool -- players can submit a Winner Confirmation Vote any time in that window. If any players forget to vote, or if people vote for different winners, and the confirmation window comes and goes with no unanimous winner being decided by the players, then an Admin is alerted for adjudication.

The only requirement for a new pool is it must be for something that anyone can judge impartially to determine a winner. Eg, a sports match or a presidential election, even the birth date of a celebrity's baby -- anything  where the results can be proven by any party. To create a new pool you must specify a "Victory Condition" and a "Verification Source" so that if no winner is chosen by voting and an Admin has to adjudicate, the admin can look up the Victory Condition via the Verification Source to determine the winner impartially.

For example, a Victory Condition of "winning team" and a Verification Source of "ESPN.com" would be a good way to determine the winner of any sports match. If betting on a Presidential Election, the Victory Condition could be "New President" and the Verification Source could be "NY Times".
