Just hangs, and my old claymores version 10 is doing the same thing.

Running 6 x rx580's and 6 gtx 1070's.

Claymores wont event detect the nvidia cards?

If i disable 3 of the amd cards, it starts to mine but still wont pick up the gtx 1070's.

Running the latest nvidia drivers and amd block chain driver.

Any help hugely appreciated!

Iirc you can't run AMD and NVIDIA at the same time. You need to run the Claymore miner 2x.
1x with all AMD cards
1x with all NVIDIA cards

You can use -di for GPU selection (example):
NVIDIA: -di 034
AMD: -di 125

Hey guys, I faced an interesting and annoying problem.

I have a 6 RX570 rig (5 samsung 1 hynix+elpida)

I successfully managed to get 29.5MH/s 1100/2000@838mV.

First minor problem, I couldn’t lower the voltage below 838mV nomatter if I set it to 800, it stuck on 838 or higher.

But my main question is, I tried to increase the memory clocks, I set them to 2100 and only the card's (which one is connected to a display) hashrate increased to +31MH/s, all rest of the cards Hash did not changed. In afterburner I seen the clocks were applied to all cards, tried Cryptonight algo and the OC worked there so it shouldn’t the cards.

I tried to increase voltage, Core clock, powerlimit, different versions of Claymore, different OC apps (Claymore too) nothing helped. I restarted the pc, the miner, used the numbers to disable the cards nothing.

What drivers are you running? Latest? Because then Afterburner wont work anyways.

You can overclock trough Claymore or OverdriveNTool.

However in my 12GPU rig i had to fine tune all cards seperately, since not all of them work on the same overclock. Some are @ 2200 and some @ 2020.

Need a hand.

Setup
MSI A68HM-E33 V2 w/ A6 7400K AMD APU
1x Radeon RX 560 4GB
8GB DDR3
VM is set to 16GB

When I try to run Claymore 10.6, I get to create GPU buffer and then it crashes.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

Appreciate the assistance!

Hi Admin,
Is there any chance that GPU wattage can be added to the miner's API for remote monitoring purposes? I hope that maybe its already in the plans.
Would be greatly appreciated Smiley

Would be far from useful. The Wattage reading on software level is nowhere near what the card actually pulls from the wall.

anyone having problems running 12 gpus? only gpu # 0 runs at max hashrate while the other 11 cards run at 80% of the max hash rates. after running for a few hours sometimes they all run at max hashrate and sometimes not. sometimes when i close claymore then run it again, all 12 cards get max hash rate, but sometimes. relaunching claymore just crashes the system and reboots it.

Same issue. More voltage or a lower overclock fixes it. I set a -minspeed so the miner will restart automatically when the hashrate falls.

Hi everybody,
first, sry for my bad english writing.

i have a mining rig, my components:

4x gigabyte rx 570 4g
2 of them with 1140 2030 and 2 with 1140 2050 @ 850mv
the rig works very well, i got 114 MH/s "28.5" eth 540w from the wall
i use 2 600w powersupplys, an celeron cpu and a gigabyte mainboard with 4gb ram.
my os is win10 pro an it is setup for mining.

yesterday i install the new claymore miner, the description tells me i can dual mine without a hashratedrop @ eth.
i try this with eth+dcr, but wenn i start mining my eth hashrate drops zu 17MH/s

has anyone try this or a idea?

A start with -dcri 1 and go up gradually.

On a sidenote; Dual mining isn't worth it anymore now that ASIC miners are flooding the market for blake2b algos.

Hello,

Is there any way to automate pool switching? I would like to mine 12 hours on ethermine and 12 hours.
Thanks for ideas.

You could write a batch script for this.

There are some and they have running costs. Server, software and so on. Claymore doesn't have. This has nothing to do with communism. I think a lot of people aren't aware that he makes so much money. So if you could disable developer fee and have the same hashrate, that would be ok. A lot of people wouldn't care if dev fee is the default option, so he still had enough money.

Without him we wouldn't make any money, would we now?

Here is a copy of it:

Hello guys again Smiley
Some another security advice worth to read !
Recently more and more botnets are sniffing for claymore API port forwarded on routers in whole internet.
Even when claymore api port is in read-only state it seems that bots still can change mining pool and wallet if port for API(ethman) is forwarded outside.
If you are using claymore miners then i advice to replace -mport -3333 by -mport 127.0.0.1:3333
If you dont have -mport specified in your config then i advice to add this as without it - it will act like -mport -3333 by default !
This way claymore API will be available only at localhost (for stats reading that are sent to dashboard) and not on your LAN IP address.
I changed all default configs to that setting so if you are not sure just look at those examples.
Also please remember not to forward 22 port. If you forward 22 port then botnets will find you in mater of hours i guess.

Here are some articles:

v10.6:

- fixed critical issue in remote management feature (attacker could crash miner even in read-only mode).

This update is required only if you expose remote management port to internet for some reason.

Trying to download this update, but all links / in different browsers im getting Virus detected. Never had that before with previous builds, on the same system.

Claymore, it is possible to add on remote monitor, a function to detect which gpu is hanging or restarting miner? (fault Gpu)

The miner has a watchdog, which will restart once a GPU hangs. In the remote monitor you can force restart the miner aswell, but the restarting on GPU hang is basically a default option.

You can set a -minspeed value to make the miner restart if the total MHASH is lower than the expected. (I run 354mhash and have minspeed of 350)

Is there any possibility to let the PC reboot, when 1 GPU is stuck?

I mean, I got a reboot.bat and -r 1 and it works if the miner freezes etc.

But one rig has one gpu which is like "offline" after 48+ hours --> then the whole rig is going from 230 mh/s very buggy down to ~150 mh/s. Idk it's funny, then I restart the rig manually and it's fine again..

I have -minspeed set to a close MHASH amount i want my rig to mine at. So if I can do 354mhash i set -minspeed 350, so the miner restarts untill it makes that hashrate.

I'm mining with those RX470 8GB Mining Edition - Ellesmere

I switched on simplemining to the version 10.5 hopping that dualmining wouldn't decrease my ETH hashrates, but the hashrate for ETH goes from 26/27mh/s down to 18/20 dualmining SIACOIN.

Question is, I haven't installed any driver, using whatever version Claymore's 10.5 is running these cards on, should I run Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 ? If that is so, can you give me a hand on HOW to do that on Claymore, because I don't have windows on those rigs.

If you'd read the first post (instead of quoting it), you'd see you can set dcri. Try setting -dcri 1 and see if your Eth goes up. From that point on you can increase -dcri value with + / - in the miner console to tweak the balance between ETH/SIA.

Does anyone experience random (in time periods) total system freezes on Claymore 10.3 on Win 10 x64 (Aug 23 blockchain drivers with 3 x RX570 and 1 RX470)?
So only reboot via mobo helps.

So far the most I got it running without freezes is 48 hours, but it can freeze in 2 hours or 10 or x hours.
There's nothing in Claymore or Windows logs.

I've experienced exactly the same behavoir when mining XMR with Claymore's Cryptonote AMD Miner v11 - but not on v9 or v10 - they were quite stable.
My cards are BIOS moded, overclocked in memory, downclocked in core and core voltage - last few days I'm bringing each card 20 MHz down after another freeze trying to understand if it could be related to memory - so far got to 1960 MHz.
However, I think if it was to do with memory - I'd get memory errors (which I don't) and/or general GPU drivers failure or single/multiple GPUs hashing stops - but it just freezes whole system. Quite frustrating tbh.

Btw I have 32G of page file, so virtual memory shouldn't be the cause.
I could try Claymore dual miner v10.5, but something tells me the freezes won't go away :/

First of all, something telling you isn't factual, so you might aswell try 10.5 Wink

On the other hand, I remember that AMD fixed a bug regarding freezing systems in multi-gpu systems. Try the latest Adrenalin driver (18.1.1 or 17.11.1), those are working fine for my 12xRX580 rig.

Next to that, if you don't wanna upgrade drivers, please run at stock settings, so stock voltage and mem clocks just to make sure it's not your cards failing.

Using Claymore 10.3 on Win 10 x64, Aug 23 blockchain drivers with 3 x RX570 and 1 RX470. The problem I'm facing is miner's watchdog doesnt seem to be working - when one (or multiple) GPU gets "GPUx hangs in OpenCL call" error - the miner just stops working - until I hit "s" on keyboard, then and only then it restarts.

This is quite frustrating. Watchdog is enabled (-wd 1) - it even says so when miner launches, also "-r 15" is set. Any idea/solution to this? Thanks.

-wd 1 is default, so you don't need to add it.

Do you have the quick edit functionality disabled? The WD used to hang for me when you are in quickedit mode in the CMD prompt.

You don't really need -r 15 then.

Yeah, I know -wd 1 is default, just had to mention it's 100% enabled.

Actually I had "quickedit mode" enabled, now I've disabled it. When you're saying "WD used to hang" - do you mean it worked, but the miner was hanging/freezing when being restarted by WD or WD wasn't performing any kind of action until button was pressed (like in my case)? Thx for the tip though.

When you have quickedit mode enabled (its enabled for everything untill u edit "Defaults", else it'll reactivate next session.

What I mean is: When i sometimes entered quickedit mode, the miner would mine, but the WD wouldn't run properly, because quickedit mode seems to "pause" background tasks.

So disabling it is the easiest solution to not accidently go into Select: mode. (You can see it happening if you click in your CMD window when quickedit is active, itll say Select: in the CMD bar.)

dear all,

currently im running ubuntu 16.04 lts rig, with 3x rx 580. the problem is ethash rate on dual mining (solo as well). on modded bios cards i hardly squeeze 21mh.
no matter what are the mclock/cclock values hashing varies 18-21mh/s. those values are reachble only wits asm 2 mode, solo eth mining does not help here. i really wasted lots o time no significant improve.
however at zec mining i got 330+hs per gpu which is oustanding, but what the heck can i do with eth?

What RAM brand do you have and what memory straps did you flash?

I remember when flashing UBER 3.1 timing on my samsung memory my hashrate went down vs the 1750 timings
i got xfx with samsung, which i managed to flash 1:1500 ^ and 2:1500 ^
2x sappphiro with micron first 1:1650 ^ and second 1:1750 ^

I had same problem on linux. And it was new core and need to reinstall drivers.
what you mean by new core? as per drivers i have recomended amdgpu-pro-17.40-483984, which were reinstalled already couple of times

What if you try to revert the flash to 1:1750? and see if the hashrate increases?
