Deepbit is experiencing problems.  Hashrate is down 2/3rds and the website is intermittent.   My workers keep giving error messages that support.     Any official update to what the situation is?

Dalkore

They are getting hit by a DDoS Attack.

Way to SandBag Deepbits post of "Go fucking look you lazy fool" by placing the info right under the post.

I do what I must because I can

Just wanted to let everyone know BitCoinMint.us is great to do business with. I ordered something from Coinabul.com on 3/13/12 and have yet to receive it (it did ship on 4/2/12 according to their website). I order from from BitCoinmint.us on 3/27/12 and got the item 4/2/12 and he threw in a free 1g Silver coin (hey it aint much but it was free Smiley ). I have also contacted him directly via email and ordered another 20 Copper 1oz coins from him and he gave me a break on shipping. My advice if you are looking for a reputable seller for gold, silver, and other precious metal coins BitCoinMint.us is the way to go.

Have a nice little mining farm (2.6Gh/s) that I do not have to pay one cent for.....it pays to be an IT guy :-).

Unless you have permission from your employer to do this, this is considered theft by deception around here.

I own my own company that does IT services, I am also the maintenance man, the janitor, and snow removal person if that helps :-)

Re: can anything beat 5850's for $149 purely on Mh/$

Well I figured out my problem I was using -f 0 which was limiting the cards. Took it out and now I am running BttW and getting a steady 620 Mh/s and 610 Mh/s out of both cards. Probably need to go fix my other machines and take out the -f flag.....such a newbie mistake on my part.

Vindimy you are right, I have the XFX 7970's and they do not get good air flow. My one 7970 runs at about 93 degrees all the time while mining, but I am running three monitors off of it at once.

I took your CGminer flags and modified them for GUIminer and still can not get much better then 620Mh/s on one card and 490Mh/s on the second card. Vindimy do you have your cards connected with a CrossFire cable?

I have a system with dual 7970's and it pulls about 600+/-watts at the outlet. That includes AMD Phenom II x6 CPU, dual SSDs, and RAID1 2TB mass storage. Using GUIMiner v2012-02-19 I get about 1Gh/s combined, each individual card does about 500Mh/s. However I do not think AMD has the drivers tuned yet for these cards, nor do I think I have GUIMiner exactly optimized for this system.

Just my 2oz of copper.

Thanks,

Exchanging BTC for Silver and Copper Experience

Since this is the "Newbie" forums I thought it might good to post my experience with trading BTC for real world Gold, Silver, and Copper. I have been bitcoin mining for about a month (2600+MHash/s) and really like the idea of exchanging BTC for real world products, I have found two sites other people on the forums have used and I have purchased items from both of them.

My first purchase was from coinabul.com. I ordered a 1oz Silver Bar (US Flag) from them on 3/13/12 and it finally shipped this weekend (3/31/12-4/1/12). I have yet to receive the item so I can not speak for the quality. I did contact Jon@coinabul and he was very prompt with a response. I was not happy with the time it took for the order to ship, but I am happy if finally did ship.

My second purchase was from BitCoinMint.us. I ordered a 1oz US Silver Dollar (minted in 2012) and four 1oz Copper Coins. I ordered this on 3/27/12 and received the items today (4/2/2012). The packaging was very not descriptive but the coins came in a padded envelope and were bubble wrapped themselves, and the seller also threw in a free 1gram silver coin for no charge. I had read in a forum post that if you contact him with multiple items you would like to buy at once he will give you a cut on shipping. I contacted the seller on 3/30/12 to find out if he would give me a break and he did. I have now ordered another 20 1oz copper coins from him using bitcoins and should hopefully receive these items shortly.

My recommendation if you are going to buy silver, gold, copper, etc. coins is to use bitcoinmint.us his website may not look like much, but his service is very fast and easy and he is very fast with his responses via email. Coinabul.com is not a bad service and Jon@coinabul.com was very helpful and did respond promptly, so if you want something bitcoinmint.us does not carry (i.e. Silver bars), coinabul.com may be your better option.

I will defiantly be buying from both in the future.

Have a good one,
The 1911Moocher

Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?)

Is it possible I could be white listed so I could write on the forums about the positive experience I have had using BitCoinMint.us. I recently got into bitcoin mining and use bitcoins to exchange for real world gold, silver, and copper and I would like to promote the services that take bitcoins as exchange for real world products. I also have several machines mining so I could also try and answer questions in the hardware forums at times. I may not post a lot but I would like to be able to post when I need to.

Thanks and have a good one,
The 1911Moocher
