is there a difference between BCC and BCH? If there is what is it. I thought it was a 2 way fork not a 3 way. Any help appreciated.

Hi I am currently a student at brighton and I am basing my dissertation on Bitcoin. What is the main topic going to be? Trading, mining, blockchain or is it more bitcoin in general? If general will it discuss economics or politics or legislation of bitcoin? Thanks
