The US Justice Department has opened a criminal probe into alleged price manipulation of Bitcoin and other digital currencies, Bloomberg reports.
The probe targets illegal practices that can influence prices — such as spoofing, or flooding the market with fake orders with the purpose to trick other traders into buying or selling crypto currencies, sources told Bloomberg. The investigation is currently in the early stages of investigation.
For the investigation federal prosecutors are working with a financial regulator that oversees derivatives tied to Bitcoin, namely the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
According to authorities, virtual currencies can be subject to fraud for reasons that include skepticism that all exchanges are actively pursuing cheaters, lack of regulations similar to that governing stocks and other assets and sharp price swings.

Ukraine is preparing draft legislation to legalize cryptocurrencies, according to a post by a member of the Ukrainian parliament, Alexei Mushak, on his Facebook page Tuesday, May 15.

Mushak attached a copy of the draft legislation document, urging readers to comment on the terms of the regulations proposed for the crypto market:

"We go to the home stretch to create conditions for digital tokens and cryptocurrency in Ukraine. This is the outcome of many meetings and work of many people. The major attacks we always get in bitcoin that always lead to crash in price is always cause by rumors and fake news all around and in most cases is the newbies that are usually hit hard because their are novice and will always rush to sell they bitcoin as soon as they hear any bad news without even waiting to confirm either the news is real or just FUDS spreading false news in other to affect the Price of bitcoin negatively.

Now its at eighth place in coimarketcap.com. But filtering value wise, its somewhere down. I have been at coinmarketcap.com everyday watching its growth trend. Before the price fall, the growth was really healthy. I am sure NEO would reach $300 to $500 end of this year. But as China banned traders, will this step affect NEO price increase?

I personally dislike Ripple, due to the fact that it is centralized, which, contradicts the sole nature of cryptocurrencies. The risk, therefore, is substantially bigger than in other cases (as if there isn't enough risk already in every single cryptocurrency). Currently, I'm investing in ICO's and I'm pretty satisfied with this decision, regardless of the negative comments that I heard about them. As long as a person does their research properly and efficiently, the high ROI will be inevitable (in a positive manner).
