So far I see, it has again started mining mostly less worth coins and I can personally feel the profit going down in past few hours since coins are re-enabled. Those who are claiming they getting higher profits by mining those coins, can show their stats so that we can be convinced if it's fine or not.

You are wrong just stop complaining all and enjoy the perfect pool. The coins have been re-enabled for a few hours and already 600 qtc found, free $$$$. Also you have to factor in luck. Let YIMMP do it's thing and profit calc for us just sit back and collect! Thanks!

I'm not complaining, just trying to understand how it works here. If you know how it works, please enlighten me by explaining a bit on how getting those qtc is counting as free $$$? Do you mean it is mining multiple coins at same time and qtc are generated as a result of merged mining?

This is how I understand it after reading through Yaamp thread.  The hashrates are distributed through the most profitable coins in the pool. If you notice Q2C at max only needs 5Ghz so if at times Qubit pool is the most profitable pool, only 5GHz is allocated to it while the other coins with higher difficulty get the bulk of the hashrates.  So out of 100 miners, only 1 miner is needed to mine it. It still depends on luck to get either DigiByte or Auroracoin so if you notice sometimes we don't find any at really high difficulty, we get no rewards and the contributed share percentage is still there.  We always find Q2C so we share the small profits and the contributed percentage is reset.
Thank you very much for your explanation. That makes sense now for me to realize why low value coins should be there in pool. I'll let it run for my one X10 machine over a course of few days and see if it consistently makes good profit. Cheers...

Just posting my experience [12x D3's] on this pool.
After running 200Gh/s on this, it is at the bottom of the profitability.

1. zpool
2. d3miningpool
3. star pool

It's a cool idea and kudos for putting it together, but it does not stack rank well.
Good luck miners.

Yea, it's getting there. I left zpool.ca and hashrefinery.com because starpool was adding a lot more coins then them. But if coins keep getting removed, then there's no point in coming here since it's becoming the opposite of a multi-pool and more like miningpoolhub with minimal coin selections.

I'll give it another week to see if coins are added back or not before switching away.

I'm just surprised that one person can persuade the owner to remove coins based on assumptions and not statistical facts.

Trust me, I know how to do fair tests, see my past test here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2067256.0 and not just base on 24 hours or 48 hours and random times. This was a true test on how profits calculation should be done.

EDIT: Check out Quark Algo, last 50 blocks, 18% of them were orphaned, seem kinda high.

Nice comparison there. Can you please redo those tests using current multipools? That would help us all figure out which one works best for the profit switching. I'm all okay for enabling all coins if the algorithm used by the site is smart enough and well tweaked to use only profitable coins for mining at the particular period of time.

^^ Isn't true at all. In fact, now it's better than before. How are you people gauging the statistics? Low paying coins were mined all the time before making whole mining process affected with low earnings. Now it's mining fewer high paying coins, which has better profit ratio so overall high pay than before. What's wrong in it?

Dear Starpool!   Please look here

---->   Qubitcoin is very bad profitability on the picture and see here we earn money!!!!!    Please set the qubitcoin to lower profitability!

http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=7ea1d5-1521304267.jpg     SO SCHOULD IT BE EVERY TIME =))))    Please disable QUBITCOIN

http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=ecb24c-1521304726.jpg   and SO =)

If the customers earn more  -->  You will get more people to your pool and earn also more!

Thank you.

Best regards,

OK. we temporarily stop QuarkCoin & QubitCoin.

Dear Starpool.   Thank you very much.  It works much better so=))))

https://www.dreamies.de/show.php?img=5214n8iq6kl.jpg

I hope you can get soon also more people and earnings to your pool!

Best regards

P.S.:

On the screenshots are results for 3 Baikal X10.     Avagage profit is a day per X10     0.001911 BTC since yesterday.
I think it is good result at current time.    Thank you dear starpool team!!!

Nice earnings there! I barely get around 15 dollar currently from my single X10. How are you able to get so much out of your devices? Can you please share your configuration settings from Baikal miner so that I can recheck if all is well set here. I am getting in LTC though.

Hello.

Is it possible in the settings to disable only one coin of algorithm?

In a Quark algorithm I would disable a quarkcoin.  It takes only miner capacity and do not earn something.

Are there some commands for Baikal Giant X10 to disable this coin, but mine other coins in an algorithm?

Thanks in advance

Is it possible to disable qubitcoin in your pool or settings on baikal x10?

Sorry. Because some people propose to add QubitCoin, can't disable it temporarily.

But you want for sure to get more people on your pool?  More people you will get, if the people can earn more on your pool, as on another pools.
Check the current valve for Quarkcoin and Qubit coin.  It earns nothing!  Check it please yourself.  Thanks

Maybe if you set up the profitability of this coins lower in your settings and set it up to reallity it would be also better, when our X10´s do not switch every time to this coins.

Yes, I agree to this as well. Most of the coins mined are Qubitcoin and Quark, which have very low conversion value esp. when converted to BTC. Other coins like DGB, Algo are quite profitable yet only been mined seldom due to this.

I want to use this pool for my Baikal Giant X10, does anyone know the proper configuration parameters for this device? I tried instructions from previous posts but miner gets down several times and very low earnings over few hours. There is not much help documentation available on the pool website itself. Undecided

Earnings should be measured in 24 hour increments for better accuracy. Yesterday was a great day on the pool still pull over 25 per miner per day on the x10.

First field put your wallet address next in password field put c=btc,quark,qubit,myr-gr,skien=.5

Then add each algo server so it will need 4 spots. There's config info here as well to better explain.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2170308.2460

First of all, let me thank you for reading and replying to my post. Very much grateful to you for your help.

I already configured according to that post, just used LTC as coin but my past 24 hour earnings were meager as you can see from this address - https://www.starpool.biz/?address=LiE3WVDzcWBg3T9aZpwTcX9i74V9Pp6gke

Can you please show me your Baikal X10 miner settings page screenshot so that I can check and review what I did wrong? Since configuring this pool details yesterday, my miner is unable to stay online for more than 5 mins and most of the times it's miner down. Mining pool hub and nicehash never had this issue with same miner when configured, they could simply run forever. Any way I can reset the miner to factory defaults other than reflashing via SDcard? I can do SSH access and run commands if required.

Thanks for your help once again, hope I can do the same like you on this pool soon.

Weird, non of my miners ever go down due to the pool just to getting stuck between switching. Maybe you have a dud?

Anyway under user I just have my wallet address, under pass I don't use a factor of 1 like they show configured in the post, I use the built in factors only cutting skien in half due to 5ghz rate limit.

so my pass looks like this: c=BTC,quark,qubit,myr-gr,skein=.5

Then I simply have the 4 servers added with that password entered in each for the auto algo switching. I have 100 percent up time for nearly a month. Good luck.

Thanks for your help mate. I've reflashed new firmware for X10 from December via SDCARD and it works fine thereafter with pool, let's see how it pans out for next day. Hope it earns better than MPH which I was using for this past month since getting this miner.

hey guys i have some units left. I was part of the first batch and I ordered myself, I've sold 7 of them and have 3 left.

If anyone is interested let me know. My price is cheaper than what if being offered here, because well I dont know how anyone justifies paying these guys 8888 for a miner that only costs 3600 from the first batch.

PM for price. Located in the US and shipping expedited with insurance.

Prefer US buyers since its easier, but open to international orders for the right price.

Would you please send the payment or return the coupons?

I sent you $1200 worth in bitmain coupons
Please be honest and either pay or send them back
Thanks

Did you try to buy a miner from him ?

I did and got scammed big time. He seems to be a trained scammer who talks big shits and gets you into paying first to secure the deal. Then gets to you constantly till you pay him fully and then ignores you to the bone. BEWARE of this fcuk!

I am lucky I didn't get trapped by him .   I sent him a message and he quoted me $5500 and asked me my location .   I told him I live in Texas , but was on the road in California and asked him if he was out west .    He never sent a second reply.    Unfortunately , this site is full of scammers.   There is a group of people who buy well established accounts for the purpose of scamming.   Btw ,  do the coupons allow cover an entire purchase or limited to $100 or so per order ?
He probably avoided you as you wanted a meetup deal which he can't provide since he doesn't have anything but scam to sell. In my case, I don't live in US, so case was different and he was able to convince me into paying first and then scammed me. That asshole claimed himself as Bill from Texas, hope if you can meet him up some day and beat the hell out of him for scamming honest people.

I've been on Kano Pool for 11 days and have not seen a block yet, what gives. About to give up on Kano Pool and go back to slush

You are almost near to ramp up, now if you leave and pool hits a block or two, you will miss it badly why you left in first place. Although you would still get rewards due to ramp down.

I will never leave Kanopool again as I realized hard that it's the best place to be if mining BTC.

Anyone using anything else for GPU mining than XMR-gpu-stak? It's giving just 38 h/s for my Nvidia 860M 4 GB GDDR5 GPU. Though NSCPUminer works fine and gives best hashrate available for my i7 CPU in the same laptop. This laptop is left just for mining only, so nothing else eating away anything...

did you tried this one?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2527462.msg28396744#msg28396744

i got 1800+ h/s on my monster testing server, 640h/s for 4cores of NVIDIA TESLA.. Smiley

Yes, I tried that only, it's giving 38 h/s for this miner only. Do note that I have disabled CPU mining on this particular miner as it was also not giving best hashes for my CPU as well.
https://imgur.com/a/pzFIt

something is not OK with your config , i think...  delete .txt files from xmr-stak (or better, backup them)...   Then start the xmr-stak.exe and answer to all questions once to create again the config file
based on benchmarks, you could have 200+ h/s on your graphic card:  http://monerobenchmarks.info/

Tried again by recreating config files, same issue. GPU hash rates not going over 38 h/s, no matter if I disable CPU mining or not via xmr-stak. What could be limiting it?

i think it can be driver, OS, or BIOS, but most probably driver
I tried updating/downgrading to the different Nvidia drivers which were claimed to be stable, but none of them lets it go over 38-39 h/s on GPU. I don't think Bios or OS should affect, as it's not for others as well. Is there some other version of xmr-stak available which I can try?

try :  https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig-nvidia/releases
instructions: https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig-nvidia#usage you must choose -a cryptonight

but i think something is with your GPU (for example iu had NVIDIA TESLA and it was splitted to multiple devices/VMs)

Thanks for your help. Tried this release but got this error -

Code:
* VERSIONS:     XMRig/2.4.2 libuv/1.14.1 CUDA/9.0 MSVC/2015
 * CPU:          Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz x64 AES-NI

Press any key to continue . . .

easy solution:  use less threads in parameter  (also be sure you are using --nicehash command switch)

Sorry, but can you please guide or post the exact command instructions to follow? I am a bit noob in this regard. Thanks.

unfortunately i have no nvidia card to use

use:
Code:
xmrig-nvidia -a cryptonight --nicehash -o stratum+tcp://80.211.205.216:3333 -u YOUR_BTC_ADDRESS_WITHOUT_SPACES -p x --cuda-max-threads=N
use N=1 and go up until you not get better result
also try to play with --cuda-affinity=N     affine GPU threads to a CPU
and --cuda-bfactor=[0-12] run CryptoNight core kernel in smaller pieces

Finally worked with this miner software. Thanks a lot mate. Getting 205 h/s constantly with my GPU and 40-100+ from my CPU along with it using either xmrig CPU version or claymore. Cheers!
