Totally agree with you. That is the best rule of investing. However, with some many ICO's and Fear of missing out, there is not a lot of time to do a lot of research and people are skipping the research part and jump on the latest pump! (have done this my self couple of times...) I think, this is fact that these crooks capitalize on in  order to scam as many as people as possible.  I wish they all get arrested and locked up for life.

This article was posted recently in Israel:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/as-binary-options-shuts-down-some-ex-operatives-turn-to-cryptocurrency/

Apparently, all the ex-binary options bucketshops-fraudsters have now been converted to Crypto Currency scams ready to take ALL of your money in 2018! The warnings are clear! ALWAYS ask information about the development team, their location and past projects before you invest in an ICO otherwise say Bye-Bye to your money!

I had the same initial thought; as long as your wallet is secured, then no worries. However, I was just worried since I read that I should not use addresses in unknown/new sites etc.  Anyways, thanks for your input man, much appreciated!

I just clicked (somewhere on this site..) on a link for  some airdrop on a new exchange-esex exchange or sth like that, and in order to join the group on facebook, it asked for my ETH address, and just gave it to them. Later i learned that I should never share by wallet address with anyone.  Thanks for your answer

Hello, I recently shared my ETH wallet address with some Facebook page in order to get some airdrop (I know, stupid thing to do...) anyways, is my ETH wallet now compromised? Should i request a new one from Bittrex? I would really appreciate some solid answers, Thanks

Is there is any special reason for the bloodbath or mere profit taking?

For e.g. :
Charlie Lee of Lite coin sold all his holdings before the crash. Looks like the folks have an idea when there is going to be a dump. I meant the big guys.

Charlie Lee belongs in jail!

This could very well be a temporary drop like it happened few weeks ago, but who knows, I recommend hodl your coins and dont panic sell.

Totally agree. I see it as a giant garage sale...but need some luck to figure out the bottom..

Reminds me of the giant stock selloff during the fall of 2008...Do you think that most of the selloff is done by small/inexperienced investors or from whales?
How long can it go>

Agree with all of you, but there is a lot of pumping and dumping in the smaller coins. 'Smart' money has entered in the market and this is how they make a living...Also, this market is a money launderer's wet dream! Especially for insiders/developers, are dropping very large amounts....
Also, what is it with the all the weed-coins? They are all up like 800%!

Check out a recent article from Sci-Tech Today “Missed the Boat on Bitcoin? More Cryptocurrencies Await”
Stox is mentioned in a list. Enjoy
http://www.sci-tech-today.com/news/Cryptocurrencies-That-Aren-t-Bitcoin/story.xhtml?story_id=030003O0ZSQO

lol its only mention was about the fact that Floyd Mayweather mentioned it, along with other celebrities with other coins. No mention of investing in it due to its use case. We all know the Mayweather thing was a ploy and there are now regulations in place with regards to celebrity 'endorsements'

Not a flattering article for stox and its not going to make people jump on it.

Lol... after this, I think there is no coming back for STX. Time to drop this dog...

Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, true deletable blockchain - V2 protocol active!
by

I went through the list of new currencies/tokens on coinmarketcap and the number that I found that were remotely interesting was one. Very few coins offer blockchain improvements, they are mostly ETH tokens promising various services that will likely never materialize, bitcoin forks with technology that brings nothing new to the table that a dozen other coins don't already have, or other cryptos that again bring nothing new to the table that hasn't already been proposed in one manner or another by some coin out there.

None seem to want to improve the existing technology. PASC and XBY are the only two so far. I'll keep digging through older coins and see if I can find anything notable.

Nice points, much appreciated Wink
