Re: MARS one on 2025
by
2btc
on 01/09/2015, 08:00:22 UTC
REASON NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT IS BECAUSE IT IS A FUCKING CRASH PROJECT. They delayed their timeline, killed their own hype and then people say the seats were sold. What's the whole point of sending the most qualified first civilization to populate mars then? Same genes which feel they can buy everything with money. Sadly, they'd be right...

They delayed their timeline because expansion of the project base, though. And I think the seats weren't sold, but traded for something better than money. The CEO says that the plan will be bigger, better and smoother than before. All it will take is some time. Bullshit, I say. Another 'technical delay' coming soon. Meanwhile, the hype dies.

They're only delaying it because it's a scam and they have no intention of going to mars. It's not even feasible at all. Even NASA would struggle to get the funding for this.

Bigger blocks are going to be needed eventually, but I'm not sure what size they should be.

Please add two options:
1) no Mike and no Gavin
2) better decentralisation

What would better decentralization entail and how would we ensure that?

It's very surprising to me how many people seem to keep their coins on exchanges. Very risky. I thought people would have learned from gox.

Re: [2015-07-02] BBC news: Silk Road: Undercover agent admits stealing Bitcoin

During the course of the investigation, the former US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent posed as a drug dealer with connections to hit-men using the alias Nob.

Well the name certainly suits him  Grin.

There's some degree of not only corruption but also entrapment involved in this whole Silk Road investigation and subsequent conviction. It's interesting that one of the thin blue line got lynched in this whole thing yet had no bearing on the conviction. The full story has and is coming out.

I wonder if this was why the murder for hire case was dropped?

Hopefull it's nothing major on their end and nothing has been compromised or stolen, but I wonder how long it is before another big exchanges coins go missing. Decentralized ones can't come soon enough.

Can't believe Stoke beat Liverpool 6-1 yesterday. Hull did well to get a draw out of Man U but not enough to stay up. I'm sure they'll get promoted back up next season if they don't lose any players.

Do the hackers know my password?

THey will, yes.

No they don't. They have the encrypted hashes from what I understand. If your password was weak they might be able to bruteforce them. You should change your password regardless.

Re: Predict Bitcoin price in 2020
by
2btc

For bitcoin, 5 years is considered a very long period of time. Anything could happen like for example total economic collapse which makes bitcoin being taken seriously as an alternative currency. Or the popularity could even fizzle out making it worthless someday. Whatever it is I imagine it could end up either very high by 2020 or even worth nothing by then.

In my opinion by 2020 bitcoin will either have taken over the world and be worth trillions in volume or it will be worth nothing and forgotten about. I'm hoping the former rather than the latter.

What do you mean by stealth exactly? I'd also be weary of accepting paypal on here as many people try to do chargebacks so thats why bitcoin is preferred and this is a bitcoin forum after all.

If we can buy accounts , is it possible for me to buy a legndry member?
It would be awesome to have good respect Cool
not many legendary account are for sale(so difficult to achieve the legendary status), if there will be any you'd have to pay 3+ bitcoins.

I don't think some legendary members will sell thier accounts it's took so much time to be legendary. If I be legendary I will keep it. Grin

True, but it's just a largely meaningless rank at the end of the day. I guess some people will take the money if they can get it.

Of course he was a male. We all know there are no females on this message board, or even the internet for that matter  Grin. Seriously though, I think it's safe to say satoshi was a male or at least a group of males, though I suppose a woman could have been among them. I guess we'll never know.

I try not to concern myself too much with the price as it always dissapoints me but I don't get how it can fall so much in a short period of time. It never makes sense. I was happy for it to go back up to around 200GBP a week ago but now it is at 160.

Re: [2015-03-24] Fortune: Regulation is Coming
by
2btc
on 25/03/2015, 11:02:07 UTC
I don't know why some people are resisting regulation. I think regulation is almost inevitable. Bitcoin has gained value and we can buy things with it. Bitcoin is not digital coupons any more and millions worth of bitcoin are trades every day and can be transmitted across the world. Regulated exchanges are important to bring bitcoin mainstream. The more regulated exchanges around the world the better.

It is inevitable. I think some people just don't understand it and therefor fear it and others are just libertarians or anarchists who want the governments to stay out of it. Personally if we want bitcoin to be legally useable as a currency then regulation is going to come whether people like it or not.

It's terrible but no more terrible than all the other shit they do. ISIS will get wiped out eventually so they'll get their deathwish but sadly at the expense of more costly wars so all they're doing is just giving the west another excuse to invade them again  but that's probably what they want.

This whole prism thing isn't about stopping terrorist attacks though that's the excuse they peddle it out under. It's simply about power and control and chipping away at our rights bit by bit until we have none left. They need to be held accountable for this bullshit.

Re: McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon
by
2btc
on 02/03/2015, 10:37:03 UTC
I can't see MCDonals accepting bitcoin any time soon. I think this was just a baseless rumour. It would be great if they did accept it at some point. Many McDonalds places have automatic ordering where you choose and pay for your order on machines so bitcoin could easily be accepted on those.

But it won't be available in my country. McDonald does not even do home delivery when my house is just 15 minutes from the outlet. I want Dominos to start accepting bitcoin as it will be more useful.

I don't think they do home delivery anywhere bro.  Not that I know of anyway.

in thailand every mcdonalds delivers

freephone 1711 or order online http://mcdelivery.mcthai.co.th/menu.php?category=1

im sure they do it in other countries but i try to avoid eating that shit if possible Smiley

In South Korea too.  A dude on a scooter will bring that to your house for an extra $1.

https://kenmaingot.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/mcdonalds-korea-scooters.jpg?w=300&h=231

Is that a official MdDonalds site? I've always wondered why they don't deliver. I know there are some services in my country which act as like taxis for people who go get your order and deliver it to your door for a small charge.
