Hey guys, is Riecoin jswallet safe to use??

Some services that require an active node have been restored (particularly the jswallet, client-side javascript wallet):

https://cryptap.us/ric

Hopefully this can help folks who don't have a node get their RIC off-exchange. However, I can make no promises on the global RIC network. It would be a good idea to spin up a node if you want your RIC.

I have uploaded the files from my Riecoin folder, so you can use it to bootstrap Riecoin - up to date 2nd August 2018
Copied them from my Linux Wallet but I think it should work with Windows or Mac Wallets too.

Safe? Yes; however, you should spin up your own node to store your coins.

P.S. Thanks to cryptapus for the assistance and coinwider for the bootstrap. A tremendous help and timesaver! Confirmed bootstrap working on windows platform.

I wish Zapple was open to those of us in the US to do this!

Seriously? Why is it not open for US people? Geographic restrictions should be a thing of the past, this is disappointing... Is it a marketing strategy to earn some reputation before opening to so many potential customers?

You could still try to sign in by lying about your location though, I do not think that they would bother checking that you actualy have an non US IP...

Per Zapple's FAQ:

Do you allow customers from USA or US citizens?

Modified on: Mon, 16 Jul, 2018 at 7:35 PM

No, we do not.  Anybody that is a resident or citizen of the United Stated of America or its territories may not join Zapple.  The same applies for any customer that may be a "US Person" and subject to reporting for US taxation purposes.  We do not allow US customers as Zapple is not currently positioned to provide the taxation reporting information to US authorities.  At a future point we will support customers from the USA.

I am in the U.S. and I created an account with Zapple. The account creation was super simple and I was happy. I sent my coin over but that was before I realized they are not serving U.S. residents as of yet so then I was sad...I sent my coin back to Polo. Now I'm sitting here watching this wallet trickle along worried like everyone else. lol
