-Webbot says Bitcoin at $13,800 in Feb 2018 and Veri the same
-Banker source says Veri at $500 once listed on an exchange July ish 2017 & then $5000 a year from then

Investors and potential investors in Populace should understand that the platform is not limited to invoices. The smart contract aspect of Populace and using the token as collateral to back the loans allows PPT to do what Salt Lending is planning to do, which is loan $ on Digital Assets.
The short answer is that PPT will start with invoice lending and could easily adapt the contracts to lend money on just about anything. Imagine a global blockchain based lending market powered by PPT.

Am I wrong in thinking that the price of ppt on the exchanges does not matter? The real value of a ppt token is going to be the total dollar value of the invoices on the platform divided by the number of ppt tokens. The value of the tokens have to equal the dollar value of the invoices to service all the customers.
Example: $500 billion in invoices / 52 million ppt = $9,600/ppt token
The value of ppt is actually going to be driven invoice investors not ppt traders.

Actually, thought this too but FINALLY had Jahi at slack start answering my questions about how it works.
Here's how it works:
2 types of invoice buyers
1- PPT holders
2- FIAT buyers
The price of PPT is set by external exchanges so right now it's ED only but sounds like a big one is right around the corner.
*Populous will need both PPT buyers and Fiat buyers in order to service all of the invoices
*We won't competed directly with Fiat buyers as they are allocated invoices as needed so we don't complete and FIAT buyers are given invoices if PPT cannot handle
So, it comes down to getting on more exchanges and getting businesses to use Populous and Steve seems to be close on announcing news on both!

R.I.P to everyone who did not buy PPT during ICO. Price has been constantly going down besides a small spike last week before Alpha went live.
How does some "good" news come out for a coin and the price crashes. Why were an extra 4 million coins being added to the market? Who sells their PPT in 1000's on ED at a price like this.
Now we have to hope that by November when the Beta comes that people will actually use this platform to sell their invoices. Will people actual trust Populous to buy invoices and hope they get their money back?
So much uncertainty right now with this.

Seriously. Only two months in and investors are already signaling the deathnell of PPT because the price is not skyrocketing on the release of the alpha version. Serious investors purchased the tokens to hold for at least at year or two. Investors looking for a quick price pop should liquidate their holdings and move on. Based on etherscan none of the top holders have sold so that's good enough for me.
It's just FUD. We ignore these posts and continue to wait until Beta/Live. 99% of us don't care about the short term fluctuations because we weren't selling anyways at $10 or $20 or $2. We look forward to the passive income potential that allows us to quit our jobs eventually. I won't sell at $100 or $200 as long as I can buy invoices at 4% profits each month. Then, I cash out profits and use them to live on and re-invest in other passive income tokens. That's my strategy and the FUD is just FUD. Populous Caribbean Cruise 2018!

I'm thinking about investing all my savings and buying about 600 PPT but I have a few questions. My apologies if they are dumb, but I would sincerely appreciate if anyone could help me out:
1-Since the PPT token runs on the ethereum platform, what would happen if ethereum was ever "killed" by another platform such as EOS. Would Populous be able to switch over and still function ?
2-PPT holders are paid in pokens..but is it safe it assume that holders can use the pokens to compound their interest and increase their PPT amount every year(ex:600-900-1350). I assume a lot of people would do this. Wouldn't the supply of PPT quickly run out very quickly?
3-Are there any rumors about any companies partnering with PPT

Don't invest money you can't afford to lose. It is considered to be unwise to invest solely in 1 venture, you can balance your risk by making PPT your primary investment, but not it's entirety. ( THIS IS ADVICE )
1. Ethereum cannot be brought down, it can lose popularity. But as long is it's mined, and facilitates tokens, the network will probably grow.
2. You can convert your pokens to any digital commodity you like, be it dollars, yen, btc or more PPT at it's current market value. After the contract ends.
3. Don't invest based on rumors. Follow the project on twitter to stay updated on any new information.
Also 2 other startups are building an invoice financing system using tokens on the blockchain. One of them has already completed their ICO and is rumored to hit exchanges in 2 days.
I advice you to do more market research before you go 'all-in'.
Can you pls tell me the name of the 2 startups you mentioned above?

I am happy the price is still reasonably low because it means my Wife can go and collect more from the exchanges. She is a very keen bagholder and likes to hold the coins. We men are more impatient it seems. She likes to collect and the men.. well they like to pump.. and dump. She is having a nap now she has migraine, but I will alert her to the cheap coins after I make her a cup of tea and give her migraine pill.

I bought Veri and Pop and I'm content just sitting and holding until next yr while my wife is constantly checking prices/charts of other coins buying and selling on emotions and hints from other traders and she keeps losing a little here and there trying to make money now now now while I just sit and wait. The multipliers and passive income that I will make next yr will be more than enough to quit but for some reason she just can't be patient. I'll have to get her to start looking up Caribbean Cruise options to keep her occupied instead of losing money each week on her impatient buy/sells.

It will be interesting to see on day one of live investing with the platform how much business there is for us all to make money from (ie; will there be enough invoices being sold?). Even if there isn't, it doesn't matter on day one, or day twenty. Everything takes time and frankly if I had to wait another few months or even years before I could quit my day job and live off passive income like this then still sign me up first! 
At this current drop off in price there will be no cruise. Disappointing since the Alpha release.
If the Cruise was planned for 2017.....then yes no cruise, BUT it's the "Populous Caribbean Cruise 2018" for a reason. Most of us could care less about the price of it until it goes Live in January. Speculators/traders/noobs care and that's why the price will fluctuate but once it goes "LIVE" the price goes straight up to the 🌙 and leaves $5 on planet earth forever. That's the point when we start looking at royalCaribbean.com for dates to plan the cruise. Until then, sit tight, grab a strawberry daiquiri and soak in the ride.

I would say the current version shows a :
Market Place Application based on a Database
+
A GUI Web-Front-End (in the making)
+
Integration of a standard "MyEtherWallet" which hold your PPTs
+
Integration of a Smartcontract (this is I would say is the main programm logic for trading and control) into the combination of a Market-Place/ Portofolio and the Wallet (Smartcontract pretty complicated as its look now but in a later stage I expect it will not shown anymore to the user - user will use the smartcontract over the GUI(not notice that he configures by his actions a smartcontract).
(Smartcontract & Standard-Wallet has the advantage if Populous is down, the smartcontract will be valid for ever, also the PPT is protected by the standard wallet on the crypto chain) - imho
Also I could find that PPT as promised by Populous will be used to buy Poken/Invoices, I could not find a hint that Fiat or other Crypto can be used for that
Not a joke but this combination of functionality is the first time ever in the world (welcome at fintech) a company did this, this is groundbreaking and totaly new.
In german I would say this is a very "Geile" Software.
(taking into consideration that lot of work was done, but also we are looking at a software in the making )I expect market will react from monday, it was to late at friday for a strong reaction. Its not important anymore for me if price will react in August or September because in December PPT will be anyway at 0.5 to 1.5Ether.
Why so high ? Because most PPT will be on the trading platform(earning money), investors who want to buy PPT (attract by the high passive income) will fight for the leftover PPT which are on EtherDelta or other Cryptomarkets to find, driving price into the stratossphere.

Are we supposed to be able to login and deposit test ETH and actually buy test invoices at this point or just check out the platform and the different views and functions...etc? I'm confused at this point as I thought we could and see nowhere to deposit my Ropsten test ETH to buy test PPT....any help please?
I came to the step to generate test ETH, then used the smart contract to generate test PPT with the "faucet" buildin function, my MEW shows now: 1e-7 PPT . From this point I stopped trying.
It would be good to get a test script from "DEV" how to use and test what is implemented currently. Lets see what Populous will provide. The current mainpoint is to test the smartcontract(this was told over twitter from Populous).

Anyone else getting the error msg "unverified account?" I get the email saying verify account but when I click on it, it takes me to the login screen and hitting login give me a red error code "unverified account." Not happy, I can't login. Any help??!

Yea I mean why would someone sell right when alpha is being released? And at a discount? Does not make sense to me, I would think you would at least wait to see the alpha to see what the populous team can deliver.

They could say $100 per right now and that's an easy No!! Holding long term for passive income for life!
Honestly, the only question that remains for me is...will there be enough invoices to go around for all PPT holders bidding against each other and against the FIAT investors? I know Steve has his software that identifies businesses who will need Populous even before they know it in advance ad so there's a built in plan and according the twitter....they r hitting China next and so game over with probably too many invoices to handle.....so maybe in the first yr in the U.K. alone we might get to do some here and there but not be able to have all our PPT in invoice buys every month...all year but I think we'll get there. And.....I hope I'm wrong!
