Anything you really don't know do research about it before giving your concussion so people won't see you as a fool or you won't end up losing a life time changing opportunity.
Hope you were able to talked to those people who were speaking ignorantly about bitcoin this same thing you are telling us? Because I think they need it more than us here. As majority of us here are quite familiar and knowledgeable about these things.

from what i have gathered about landao as a compony that is into tokenisation of real estate and as a growing company , I believe as a company  that wants to increase its threshold in real estate there should be need to enlighten investors of previous successful lands transactions as this will not only make investors to invest with landao but also it will give them the guarantee that the company is actually into real lands and not virtual land.

If what I have read so far is something to go with, this is the first time the project is starting, so I don't think that they have had any previous purchases of lands transactions. They are still building and project from scratch Unless the project was existing the past with another name, which I don't think is the case here. But one thing that potential investors should bear in mind is that, if they project said they are into real land and not virtual lands, I don't think there is any reason to doubt them. Because if they were deal with virtual lands, they would have mentioned it.

Well OP I think should not be the best place you should post this topic, here you are to post bitcoin related topics, I think you should move this topic to politics and society.
The topic perfectly fits where the OP posted it. The post is talking about Nigeria local politicians/politics alone and this sub board is dedicated to political discussions that concerns our country in particular. The other politics and society board you are referring to is dedicated to global politics and societal behaviours that are not peculiar to one country. When it is local politics you will discuss it here. But when it is not only Nigerian politics alone, you take it to politics and society board.

1. Are you focusing on buying lands in the urban areas alone or in the rural areas alone or both?

2. Before buying lands from individuals or group of individuals, will your team come down to the local communities were the lands are situated, to determine if truly the lands exist and it's in same position that the seller said it is?

Buddy this questions are very much good and I think they needed it be answered too by the team. although when I was watching there YouTube video they mentioned acquisition of bulk lands and to me, If we should be talking about versed land, such land can not be found in the urban areas although we can still see few but with the look of things I think such quantity of land may not be available in the urban area where development has taken place already, I think such land can only be found in Rural communities.

With this plan of LandDAO this is an indirect and direct means of developing the rural areas also it help to discongest the urban city if investors finish doing the needful, another thing is that, investor that got interest in a locality where landDAO has already make this lands available for them to buy may decide to set up a company in the area and with what I know about local contents, there may be a quota of work force given to the locals, electricity may be made available for them to thats if they don't have any although depending on the agreement reached, with this project being sustained I think most African countries will experienced unexpected development like never before because there will be influx of investors once investors find out how helpful the blockchain technology could be, this will also make people to learn and know more about the blockchain technology especially in Africa.
Well you know one thing that always been a major problem in Africa is insecurity especially in the rural areas. Most times the government give little or no attention to the rural areas whe it comes to security of lives and properties. That's why you see most of the city areas being congested, because that's were the security of the people and their properties more assured. If landDAO acquire a vast land in the rural areas and put up structures for residential purposes, do you think their targeted audience are likely to relocate to areas where the insecurities are high? Don't you think this will pose a serious problem for landDAO in selling out their residential properties?

After going through your educational materials on YouTube, and in your website, I find your project quite interesting. But I have questions and I will like more clarity on them.

1. Are you focusing on buying lands in the urban areas alone or in the rural areas alone or both?

2. Before buying lands from individuals or group of individuals, will your team come down to the local communities were the lands are situated, to determine if truly the lands exist and it's in same position that the seller said it is?

Are we truly brothers in this country? Isn't it too obvious that the country cannot coexist as one? Nigeria leaders don't value the life of it's citizens that's why you see these clashes happening and nothing is being done about it. Protect yourself and your family if the need arises, don't wait for anybody or government to come and do that for you. A country where animals are more valuable than human beings. The best way to get lasting peace in this country is to divide this and let every region be on their own.

So now why the disagreement?

When we are in same path ( not encouraging others to purchase with their emergency funds) ,try going through post well before replying , because you are just mid quoting me , because I only said not to use your emergency funds to purchase bitcoin just in the name of been aggressive, just try and go through my reply again then you may understand what I was trying to say properly
Emergency funds are always for emergencies. No good investor would encourage anyone to invest part of all of his emergency fund simply because of Dip. Market volatility has no time frame and could be as short or long as no one would actually predict. Emergency funds toe is no longer your fund, it's set aside for life sake.

The current situation of bitcoin is a great opportunity for investors. Maybe traders would finally decide to quit trading for investment this time.

Emergency is not set aside just for life's sake... Emergency fund is for contingencies - good or bad...It's wise to use one's emergency fund in case of dip irrespective of how long or short that dip could be. Great investors will always take advantage of dips even as they still invest during boom. There's no way I will not buy more bitcoins during dip. I operate based on DCA, but dip is when I break the records. I'll still set up emergency funds if I ever get to use them up.
Emergency funds should best left for emergencies and only used when there are real emergencies. Since you like breaking records during the dip, you can prepare yourself and save part of your discretionary income for the purpose of buying the dip. You will think that you are being smart by tampering with your emergency funds, until you face and emergency and you don't have funds to turn to.

'"My name is Lily Bella!!
Thank you for your reply. Our company cooperates with [AliExpress-ShopVerse] who are willing to pay to increase the attention of their products, so our company needs to recruit a lot of co-operative employees to like their products on the mall and earn 100k-200k Naira every day.
Are you interested to know more?"

It did not took me much time i have to delete the message immediately. No one is a baby anymore although there are still people who will fall for this type of scam.
Of course there are plenty people that will fall for these things. That you are exposed to these scammers strategies doesn't mean that many people outside there are exposed to it. About three weeks ago, I saved a bike Man that carried me from emptying his account to send to one scammer who was impersonating Untouchable Comedy. Many of us should be aware who Untouchable Comedy is if you are familiar with social media in this Naija. He met one fake untouchable who promised to give him #500k to add to his business. But he will need to send anything from his heart to an account number provided to him to help one struggling woman.

This Man was willing to do this, luckily he told me when I was on his bike. He was very happy, until I told him it was a scam. At first he doubted me, then I asked him to bring where he is chatting the so called untouchable. He did and I texted the person and said Alaye rest, immediately scammer responded and started quarreling and calling me names. The next thing he blocked the man. That was how I was able to save this Man from being scammed.

We have a government and and agencies that are responsible for the economy of this country. Let them do something about this. If other countries that were affected are preparing for counter measures, let our government also prepare for it's counter measures. It is not only embezzlement of money that they are elected. Every country is focusing on how to protect itself from the falling global economy, if our own government won't stand up and do something right, then we should be gearing up for tougher times ahead.

Argentina team is full of great talents that can make big difference in their team.

Argentina has very important players injured, not only Messi, they also have Lautaro Martinez who is injured

https://buenosairesherald.com/sports/football/argentina/lautaro-martinez-to-miss-argentina-double-header-with-injury

This means that Argentina's attack will be weak against Brazil. Argentina's great luck is that Brazil is not a strong team at the moment. It is an unstable team that can win or draw. Since Argentina is well positioned in the table, a loss or draw will not harm Argentina. But I don't see Argentina's game against Brazil as being a very incredible game. Both teams have not played well in my opinion.
Argentina has players the can replace Lautaro Martinez if he's injured. Julian Alvarez can replace him perfectly. Argentina and Brazil are well equipped with players to make sure that they can move the team forward if few players are injured. Even if this match isn't going to affect Argentina if they lose or draw, but for that fact it is Brazil they are going to give their best to make sure they don't lose to
Brazil. Remember the last time they met their was really big tension between the two team. Brazil are not doing bad on their own, their players are also in good form. Raphinha, Rodrygo, Vinicius and others are in hot form currently.

I don't think there was ever a competition between bitcoin and any other altcoins. Bitcoin is on a separate level of which other altcoins were built around it. Bitcoin getting to $100k was inevitable, it was only a matter of time, so no amount of doubts from anyone could have stopped bitcoin from getting to that amount, and that amount is not going to be the highest that bitcoin will ever get. So anyone who says that bitcoin is the king of all coins is not making mistake. And I don't think any altcoins could ever get to $100k in the future. Many altcoins has continued to struggle to get back to the previous ATH, but bitcoin has always get pass it's previous ATH, whenever it's time for it to do so. Bitcoin is the most traded and the most reliable coin that why people are more confident in holding it.

Results of round 13:

Paraguay 1 - 0 Chile (honestly, I was very confident that Paraguay would win and I was right, Chile is in decline)

Brazil 2 - 1 Colombia (I was more inclined to a draw, but Brazil got lucky and won)

Peru 3 - 1 Bolovia (both teams are not doing well in the table, but I predicted that Peru would win)

Ecuador 2 - 1 Venezuela (there was a time when Venezuela was doing well, but then they fell off a cliff)

Uruguay 0 - 1 Argentina (well, honestly I was very doubtful about Argentina and even though they won, they didn't convince me)

In the next round the games will be more complicated to predict, I'm thinking about watching the game between Brazil and Argentina, although without Messi I don't see much fun. As I'm a fan of the Argentine national team, I've always liked watching when Messi plays.
Argentina team is full of great talents that can make big difference in their team. Messi is a great figure in the team and everyone would have loved him to be part of the team. But I think their match against Brazil is usually an interesting one with or without Messi. These two countries have amazing talents and the tension between them whenever they play is something that's entertaining on it's own. Argentina has to start looking at a future without Messi, they should start realising that Messi might not be with them After 2026 world cup. The match is a must watch for every lover of good and entertaining football. At least Brazil won't have anything to fear now that Argentina are without Messi. That's is going to make the match not to be easy to predict the winner.

I don't think it has anything to do with the coach, it's about the seriousness of the players, what difference did Chelle bring to the super Eagles team yesterday that made Nigeria to win, it is not the same players we've been using.the players felt that their is need for them to get the three points after losing Several of their qualifying games. There was nothing extra ordinary that the coach did. I don't also think they had ego, I felt they've realized how important it is to qualify for the World Cup, so they don't want to give room for excuses anymore, from the first half, you could see how desperate the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola lookman and the rest forwarders where pushing forward the ball, until they secured that first two goals in the first half.
I think it has everything to do with the coach, the coach of a team is always blamed for bad results and the coach is also held accountable for the good results. If players are good on their own, why do they need coaches? A football team plays according to the tactics of the coach and any coach that's without good tactics to win matches you will see that the team will suffer. Even if the players are good, there is always someone who is supposed to bring out the best in them, and give them directions to play with. The Super eagles team were doing well during the time we had the Portugal Man coaching us. After that time they crumble under Finidi and now they found their feet again under Eric. That's to tell you that coaches has an effect in the rise and fall of a team. And what we are seeing in the Super eagles team right now is the effect to the coach.

Provided the land you are selling is yours and there is none that will come later and put pressure on you for selling the land. To me it is the best approach to raise money instead of going to borrow money to invest in bitcoin I will do the same thing if I had land to sell and raise money. Provided that you don't have intention of developing the land in the nearest future, and there is no pressure on you in the place you are living currently. I don't see any reason for keeping lands while the land can give you a reasonable amount to invest in bitcoin. There will always lands to buy when you make enough money. For me any asset that's not providing any immediate use can be disposed and raise money for investment.

Exactly as the title says, "What does privacy mean to you?" Of course, a lot of us claim that we are privacy lovers and we support privacy, but to an extent, some people have taken privacy very seriously, which is one thing I commend very much.

I have been touring around this forum, and I see a lot of comments from some people regarding how careful they are with their assets (bitcoin); their seed phrases and private keys are so private to them that they do not share them with anyone, but that brought me to this question: Are people really aware of unforeseen circumstances? What if something happens to you? Who will be able to handle your assets when you're no longer there? and the question usually ends up with people speaking of inheritance and not the exact thing I wanted to hear.
For instance, someone said he doesn't trust anyone to tell them his private key or anything close to his assets, but how do you all conceive this message?

How can one be in a relationship (wife and children) if you cannot trust anyone in your family to the extent of telling them anything about your investment? This got me worried; hence I decided we should discuss it here. I know weird relationships exist, but is it to this extent?

Open discussion
As the question goes what is privacy, these days I doubt if there is anymore privacy in our life anymore and I doubt if people take privacy very seriously. When it has to deal with privacy issues concerning assets and private keys this are something we have to be very careful with our investment. We all know life is unpredictable and the future is unknown, we can likewise handle this situation of private keys. We don’t have to necessarily tell our family or loved ones with this key or phrase . Because this days we find it very hard to have trust in people or our family members. But if there are people we have a guaranteed trust we can actually have this discussion with them, about our private life in case of emergency.

But if in a different situation and we don’t trust any of our family members, we can put this things in writing and possibly add it to our safe storage. Where in a situation this unforeseen circumstance happens our assets would not be lost. It can still be recovered by our family.

Re: Too much Reliance on gambling/bet sources
by
7juju
on 22/03/2025, 10:44:02 UTC
I have seen so many persons rely so much on bet sources that they are often times left hanging when there's no new updates and become too lazy or too dumb to make predictions of their own.

So I have to advise or better still find out, do you feel that too much reliance on gambling/bet sources from both friends and social networks, is as much, detrimental to both health, emotions, personal love life and other important relationships and responsibilities as you have noticed or not?

What is your take on this issue?
My take or contribution to this right now is that too much gambling or getting prediction sources from both friends and social networks, can be detrimental to someone mindset and and emotions, sometimes when we bet this huge amount of money. Which we have no guarantee of any winnings can results to mental health and destroy someone relationship. This can also be a problem for our responsibility and handling of our daily life, most cases people have lost their minds and life from this gambling addiction and process, and this have destroyed people’s ability to handle there finances, due to loosing money in the process.

So I feel that too much reliance and addiction to this betting platform have been very detrimental to our society and our lives and have ruined so many people. As gamblers we should be able to come up with our games on our own, and not to rely on anyone or platform. So that when we loose and win we don’t have anyone to blame for our losses,

Re: How Many of Us Knew About Bitcoin Before Finding Bitcointalk?
by
7juju
on 21/03/2025, 21:25:29 UTC
I knew bitcoin before I knew this forum. I knew about bitcoin from my cousin who was already in the university. He came back home and told me that was a new trend that it is another form of money. He asked me to invest in it but I was too scared of it. I was still in secondary school and I haven't heard about this any where, so I was a bit skeptical about it. This was as early as 2012. I paid no interest in it. Few years later I started hearing about bitcoin from many people and on social media. That was when I recalled what my cousin told me about this bitcoin. One thing that made me not to invest that early time, was the fact that I didn't have a smart phone then. He asked me to invest it through him. But I refused that, because my cousin has this attitude of scamming the family members money. I knew about this forum in 2020, during the Covid period from a friend of mine.
