Ange Postecoglou has become the new manager of Nottingham Forest. He will undoubtedly strive to develop a strong strategy. I hope he can continue Nuno's legacy. Last season, we saw Nuno coach Nottingham Forest well. Nottingham Forest became a strong team and rose in the standings. I also hope to see Ange Postecoglou improve Nottingham Forest's performance. Considering that Postecoglou recently led Tottenham to the Europa League title, I hope he can also lead Nottingham Forest to the Europa League title this season. This will certainly be an exciting challenge for Postecoglou.

But what I'm really looking forward to is the match between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham. It's sure to be an exciting and exciting battle of strategies. Are you interested in that match, even though it's still a long way off?
Postecogulu becoming Nottingham forest manager is a welcome development but if were left for me alone, I would have like Nuno Esprinto to continue with Nottingham forest. But since it was obvious that Mariakis relationship with Nuno was bad the change was expected. Mariakis seems to admire the track records of Postecogulu in winning titles that's why he went for him. Let's hope Postecogulu will continue with that tradition at Nottingham forest. But him winning the Europa league with Nottingham forest is something am not sure of.

Nigeria earned one point away against South Africa in the match Osimhen didn't play in.
Benin currently holds the advantage in points, but Nigeria will have a home game against Benin.
Nigeria absolutely must win that match, or Nigeria won't qualify for the World Cup.
My main concern is Osimhen's condition. He suffered an injury and returned to Türkiye by private plane. According to the statement, he suffered bleeding and a bruise on his leg. How long will this injury last? There's a Champions League match next Thursday. Will he be ready for that match? Or will he be on the pitch for the league match next weekend?
I don't think he'll be on the pitch until Thursday, but we'll have to wait and see what the doctors' treatment will be.
If Osimhen is not fit to play in the champions League his team Galatasary will have to make due without him. There's no way he's going to play with injury. Although it depends on how severe the injury is but I no he won't be allowed to play in the champions league if he's not fully fit. The champions league is still starting and if he miss this first leg it won't affect his team that much.

~snip~

With no disrespect to the South African team, I think they are not just ordinary team, this is a team that has been playing together in the same league for years now and almost half of the South African players plays for Mamelodi Sundowns, a very strong team in the South African league and also they have the current African best goal keeper in their team. It’s really a very intense match for the super eagles and if you’re watching the game you’ll notice that the pitch is bad unlike the pitch the super eagles players are used to playing in Europe, they are making so many mistakes and so many rebounds of the ball. It’s an own goal from the Nigerian side and if not that I don’t think the South African team are better than the Nigerian team and to add to it the Super Eagles have managed to pull one goal back before halftime time to keep the score level at 1:1, courtesy of Calvin Bassey header. The second half promises to be more exciting as the super eagles will be pushing to win the game in order to stand a better chance of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup next year.
You that field South Africa chosed for that match was a deliberate decision by the South Africa FA. They knew that if they take the super eagles to a good field that they will struggle to play the eagles so they just want to frustrate the Nigerian side by taking them to a field that's not good. Imagine the way the super eagles managed to play them in that bad field. It was a tactical move from the Southie people but am proud of the super eagles for balling them and getting a draw for this match. The fight for the world cup place continues.

This kind thing na good development for our country because it was becoming too much. In our days this kind thing been no dey and we were doing better. If they were only doing it for the final year students who are graduating from the school to enter university or from primary school to secondary it would have been a different thing. But doing it every term and making it compulsory for everyone to pay was were they got it all wrong. I like as the government are reacting let's hope other state governors will join.

City lost 2-1 to Brighton after taking a 0-1 lead.
Pep hadn't won a single match in his last three matches under Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler.
City started well, but Haaland missed a goal opportunity in the 9th minute. A poor shot wasted a potential goal.
Milner celebrated his goal six years later at the age of 39.
City played poorly after conceding the equalizer. They couldn't mount a proper attack. Brighton took a 2-1 lead in the 89th minute through Gruda, who secured a victory.
City suffered their second defeat in their third match.
Something had been wrong at City since last year. The problem lies in Pep's appointment as manager.
Are you saying Pep shouldn't have been appointed as manager of Manchester city? If we are talking about Manchester not doing well so far that's understandable, but saying the problem lies with Pep appointment as city manager is were I don't agree with you. The season is still starting and every team is going to lose match. It's quite unfortunate that city started losing at the early stages of the season. Am sure the manager will identify the problem of the team and he will address it.

One of main problem in the football transfer these days is inflation. Time flies so fast in football. I'm getting shocked when Newcastle paid 90m for a striker who came from nowhere. Meanwhile, 90m could give us Ronaldo at 2009. It seems the inflation in football is uncontrollable.
Sometimes, i think football these days much more on business instead of passion. Priced a player that literally no one’s heard of close to the 100m is so crazy as hell. Things worsen when Newcastle agreed to buy him.

We may be seeing 4th tier player may be priced millions soon.
There are many factors to be considered in terms of player transfers fees these days. I believe that that cost of other local commodities in our individual countries today are not the same as it was in 2009. The price of tickets and TV rights have also increased. Also this was a panic buy for Newcastle and Stuggart know that Newcastle were having problems in securing a striker after several failed attempts to get their other targets and Isak future really not sorted out. It was a great avenue to extort Newcastle. On a normal day were everything is settled, this player won't cost this much. I don't blame Newcastle for paying this much. Isak didn't make things easier for them.

Mourinho leaving Fenerbahce for me is not something that just happened, I think it was a planned work, maybe the Fenerbahce board are not ok with how the Turkish disciplinary board will start taking harsh decisions on the club even when is not necessary that's why they allowed him go, I think. Fine he has his own way of replying to matters that affects him without hiding how he feels but after that group chat that was revealed some months ago I think this is the result.
Jose Mourinho has been having some misunderstanding with Fernerbahce board of which he is not supposed to be doing. Mourinho has also been putting Fernerbahce in the public eyes in many negative ways. If not from one controversy with the league management, it will be with owners or the with a player. We all know that Mourinho is an outspoken person, but the way he was going about Fernerbahce job, he wasn't destined to last long in that job. Sacking has becoming a regular routine for Mourinho. He has been sacked in 5 of his previous jobs, it could be his stock in trade who knows. He was sacked by Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma, now Fernerbahce. I think the fault is with Jose Mourinho.

From Achicha (yellow monkey cola) which was one the weirdest and yet fascinating fruits I'd seen in the first page, to this last one since I never knew corn could be white Roll Eyes
White corn are very common in our country. Nigeria is a country that has so many agricultural products. Our rich and fertile soil support varieties of agricultural products. Stay tuned for for fascinating fruits carving  posts from my fellow country men and women. Naija for a reason.😊😊

I don't see any team that would be able to challenge Bayern Munich this season, I was hoping that with Erik Ten Hag hired as Bayer Leverkusen coach, Kompany might witness a strong challenge but this season might end up being one of the easiest cause they came very prepared and more stronger than the previous season.
Eric Ten Hag would have done better if Bayer Leverkusen had not sold all their star players. Ten Hag is literally going to start from scratch to build a team that might be capable of challenging for trophies in the future. Bayern Munich is the most complete team in the bundesliga right now. We have all seen how they trashed Leipzig on their opening match, Leipzig that is a strong team does that not send a direct message that no team will smell the league title for the next few years in Bundesliga. Bayern Munich are recruiting players for the champions league, and not for the league title in my eyes.

Arsenal have wingers but you cannot compare the wingers they have in that left wing position to Rodrygo. I’m already fed up with Martinelli and Trossard isn’t a player for the future his stay at the club is already shortened to 2026 so it will be best to bring in more fire power. Rodrygo definitely fits in that position as he will boost Arsenal’s attack.
How sure are you that they are not going to bench him like they have done with the duo?

Players tend to thrive so well when given regular football, but when you start benching them or giving them a few minutes then they lose confidence and form. I believe at one point Trossard was so good until he wasn't. Why?

Rodrygo already has form and confidence, challenges himself because doesn't get enough football at Real Madrid. I think he would do well in mid-table teams to look up to him as a star and give him the freedom in the forward positions. He will be another dead player at Arsenal just like the other once brilliant wingers.
I get your point and that's exactly what will happen to Rodrygo should he head to to Arsenal, because he won't be guaranteed regular playing time at Arsenal. I laugh when Arsenal fans complains that Trossard is not a good player, but I still remember how many times Trossard has scored for Arsenal with the little minutes he has been playing for the team. They already have Martinelli and Trossard in that wing adding Rodrygo will be a disaster and unless they sell one of them but so far there's no news about Arsenal willing to sell any of them.

I haven't heard that Galatasaray has plans to sign Donnarumma. From the little information that I got, it's not certain that Donnarumma will move to Galatasaray despite that Galatasaray plan to give him a three years contract with a transfer fee of €10 million. For Donnarumma to be in City, City needs to sell Ederson in order for them to use the money to sign Donnarumma but if Donnarumma chooses Galatasaray, Ederson remains in City.
Rumor has it that Galatasaray are very much interested in signing Donnarumma this summer, but I believe since Manchester City have also shown interest in Donnarumma this season, Donnarumma will prefer a move to Manchester City over Galatasary. Ederson will not accept to be a second choice goalkeeper if Manchester City signs Donnarumma, so it is expected Manchester City will sell Ederson to another club.
You are right, it has been rumoured that Donnarumma is being sought after by Galatasary, but it was also reported that Donnarumma has agreed personal terms with Manchester city and I also read from somewhere that Manchester city and PSG have agreed a deal worth £35 million pounds for Donnarumma but they will only push to finalise the deal, if they are able to sell Ederson to another club. It was Galatasary that was said to be the front runner for Ederson signature but I don't know if they are still interested to sign him. Am sure Donnarumma will prefer a move to Manchester city than going to Galatasary.

Rather than trying to sign Isak, it's better for Liverpool to pay attention with their defending line, I think they have to sign more defenders.
Rumour suggests that they're trying to sign Guehi. They already got Leoni anyway, so there's a backup there. I don't think you could say that if they change defenders, they won't concede the first or second goal that easily. At the end of the day, they played with Szobo as an RB while Macca isn't there, so I'd say we haven't seen them at their best 11 yet. Not to mention integrating new players probably takes more time than 1 or 2 games. I think what they need is time to integrate everyone so they don't get caught at transition easily.
That's true, and that's what some supporters don't understand yet. They expect the team to be playing fluently when they know that they have got some new arrivals that just came in during the summer transfer window. These are players that came from different leagues and different clubs were the playing patterns are entirely different. Coming from clubs where they have spent the past few years of their career to a new club with different culture and playing patterns. There's no way they can just blend in immediately to be playing so good within 1 or 2 games. It will take longer for the team to balance. What the Liverpool team need is time for their new players to blend in.

Today, many people probably bet on Rennes winning. Because Rennes surprised Marseille in the first match. Rennes unexpectedly won 1-0 against Marseille.

But in today's match, we see a weak performance from Rennes again. Rennes lost 4-0 against Lorient, but the main reason for Rennes' defeat was the red cards of Camera and Christopher Wooh. In just 6 minutes of the match, the referee showed Camera a red card and in the 11th minute Wooh got a red card and went off the field. It was impossible to perform well with 9 players, but Rennes was still 1-0 behind at the end of the first half. But in the second half, we saw only Lorient's dominance.

Lorient was very confident in the second half. First of all, it was Lorient's home match. Also, since Rennes played with 9 players, Lorient's players were able to create many opportunities to attack.
I was completely left dumb when I saw the result of the match, if anyone had told me yesterday that Lorient was going to win Rennes by this margin wouldn't have agreed. I wouldn't have even agreed that Lorient was going to win in the first place I wouldn't have accepted because I didn't see the possibility of that happening. When I watched the highlights of the match, Rennes were making mistakes upon mistakes. Well surprises happens in football, but this one is too big to swallow.

The mentality of making money and leaving the country is now dominant among the young people, so I believe that even when the young people take up position in government the country might likely remain the same. In terms of corruption and other abnormalities that has been happening in the country. Because the youths that are aiming for political offices all have godfathers and the young people won't get to power with having an understanding with their godfathers. So invariably the old people are still going to hold on to power. Because the young people in the office will be taking instructions from them.

I liked the drive Manchester united started the game against Fulham. They tried in creating chances and getting in good attempts. With their performance so far, i think they've got a chance of winning the game.

Fulham may not be a very strong team. But they always perform well in home matches. Fulham's performance is not frail  in today's match either. I think they even performed better than Manchester United. Bruno failed to score from the penalty spot. He is very unlucky. But Manchester united lead by  1-0 in the second half with Leny Yoro's goal. But now the match is tied 1-1 after 75 minutes. I think the match is going to end 1-1. Manchester United needed to play more aggressively. Because their attack is quite strong.
Really? Manchester United has a strong attack; an attack that has failed to score a single goal in two matches, will that be considered as a strong attack? I won't consider Manchester United attack as a strong one. So far so teams with strong attacks has scored multiple goals in the premier League already but Manchester United attack has none in two matches is that not ringing a bell already? Well let's continue to watch as things unfold in that club called Manchester United. They think that their problems are over? It's not for them this is just the beginning.

Everton did well today the new boys really did well for them and it seems Jack Grealish still got somethings in him, he got two assists which help the secure the 3 points.  I think Brighton won't do well this season with how they played, Welbeck missed a penalty that could have got them into the game back but let's just say today wasn't their day at all.

Maybe Jack Grealish really needed the change of environment because he was getting too comfortable at Manchester city and that made him not to be producing as much that was expected from him. Now that he has gone to a place that he will be looked up to as a leader, he has stepped up his game and I hope his move to Everton works out for him. I can't remember the last time Jack Grealish provided two assists in Manchester jersey. Let's hope he continues like this. Now that he's in Everton he will be have more and more game time.
