Re: Need 1 BTC loan for 30 days, 5% interest, 150% collateral DRK

LOL it was so much fun reading this... There is only one paragraph that make sense. As a pure act of altruism I'll help you to make some money (from posts), so, feel free to comment.

Neither of us could come to a deal, which really should be no big deal. Not every negotiation will end in an agreement. Sometimes there just aren't terms that both parties can agree with.
I couldn't agree with you more.

You're the one who is too blind to see that you're not going to receive a loan if the Darkcoin is kept in escrow. It's too volatile and it has been dropping like a rock. The risk is too great for the reward.
Yeah, I probably am but you couldn't know for sure! People are different, as you can see there is already one person who don't mind using escrow. So, I can assume there are probably others too.

Yeah...and this is because I would be receiving whopping .25 BTC or .5 BTC in Darkcoin over the amount I am sending you. That's like $110-$220 LOL. So, count out say .2 for my Prime Dice sig, .3 in other loans, and what does that equal? .5 BTC that I'd stand to lose right off the bat by running with your collateral. Which basically cancels everything out and just ruins my excellent reputation.
Why are you pretending that .5 BTC is like nothing for you when you are making 0.0006 BTC per post and you are happy? .3 in other loans? Who knows? Maybe those are your sockpuppet accounts! Maybe you're landing yourself just to build some trust and/or "constructive" posts for the PrimeDice signature campaign.

Remember: You're the one asking for a favor. You need a loan more than someone needs to loan to you. Potential lenders should be treated with respect.
That's absolutely wrong! How you came to this conclusion? Am I asking for donations, gifts or something? It's a mutual benefit! If I needed that loan that much I could offer much better terms. Like 200-250% collateral and/or bigger interest rate. Or at least I could pretend to be more polite than I am and respect potential scammers.

It's very easy to verify whether or not an account has been bought or sold. Just spend 45 seconds reading through the post history and you should get a pretty good idea.
Yeah, sure. Like there are no people that selling their normal accounts(no spamming and such) after some time.

I could spend 5 more paragraphs disproving you, as I am a huge player, but I'm not going to waste my time. Have a nice day and I wish you all the luck in the world getting this miracle loan.  Tongue
I'm sure you can. And yeah, you are a huge player, who knows, maybe one day you will be the next Bill Gates with that 0.0006 BTC per post. As you can see, I've edited the title before your post, I don't need this loan anymore.

Why ruin my reputation and screw up the loans I'm giving out so I can cash out with a few pennies in profit? It would make no sense for me to run with .5 BTC or .25 BTC, especially when I have other outstanding loans, signature payments, etc.

It sounds like it's not going to be worth the effort loaning to you. In that case, I wish you good luck finding someone else who will cover the rest. I would personally highly recommend just selling the Darkcoin, though - I mean, how much value has this coin lost since you posted this thread? It's likely just going to keep sinking.

My bad, didn't saw that you are a big player! You've already loaned people for the colossal sum of 0.2865 BTC. Reputation lol, really? Maybe I'm blind but you have no reputation! Everyone can buy a full member account, even Sr. Member if they wish. Trust, rep, activity don't mean anything to me. Keep your pseudo trusted account and please don't bother me anymore.

You are either blind or a scammer. Why are you wasting my time?

Only trusted members + Escrow! Preferably 2-of-3 escrow.

Anyway, now I'm offering 150% collateral. Escrow is mandatory, though.

I can do the full amount with DannyHamilton escrow. I propose that I send DannyHamilton the 1 BTC, you send the 1.5 BTC worth of Darkcoin to me, and then DannyHamilton releases the BTC to you. When the loan is over, you send the 1.05 BTC to DannyHamilton, I send you the same amount of Darkcoin you have sent me and any additional that was sent to keep it above 110%, and DannyHamilton releases the BTC.

If value falls below 110%, it needs to be pushed back up. I am only willing to do this if I have access to the DRK and it is not held in an escrow for the 30 days. Collateral may be used as a hedge or short.

I can also do half.

I currently am lending to several members: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740207.msg8362681#msg8362681

Good plan! Instant 0.5BTC profit, what will stop you from cashing out and running away? Why to wait 30 days for 10x less profit?

Im willing to fund half of this loan aka 0.5 BTC if someone wants to put the other half up.

I also request 150% DRK collateral to be held by the escrow due to price volatility and the short order clause still in place sub 110.

Someone else for the other half?

I'm not sure that I understand, where is the risk exactly?

You really don't see the risk? DRK is currently on a downtrend. What you're offering is only 20% higher than repayment. There is a very real chance that DRK can plummet over 20% of its current value over this 30-day time period.

As I said, I'll submit additional collateral if needed! Isn't this enough? Anyway, now I'm offering 150% collateral. Escrow is mandatory, though.

I can do it, but I need to have control of the DRK (so no escrow) in order to avoid risk and use as a potential short.

What about the risk I take? How I'm supposed to trust you?

Are you willing to provide 1 BTC collateral with escrow! DannyHamilton, zero fee, you don't lose anything!
In this case I'll send the DRK directly to you!

You may want to offer a higher interest. 1.25% per week is very low for the associated risk. I might be willing to do this, but terms and rates needs to be different.

I'm not sure that I understand, where is the risk exactly?

If the value of DRK drops during the term of the loan(collateral < 100110%) I'll submit additional collateral back up to 125%150%. But you'll have to send me a PM or write here and explicitly ask for additional collateral, and I'll send it in 24 hours!

Only trusted members + Escrow! Preferably 2-of-3 escrow. If possible, suggest at least two escrow providers and I'll pick one.

Wow, I'm not happy at all.

libdb changes have destroyed all of my wallet.dat files. I have no DRK.
Ran into the issue before. Use -salvagewallet Should repair it. Then tranfer all to new wallet.

Make sure your using libdb 4.8
--salvagewallet fails and creates a wallet.[timestamp].bak file.

apt seems to think I have no berkley libdb installed at all... Other wallet.dat files work fine...

I can't deal with this shit now. Nothing but bad news all week. It's actually LESS of a problem to write DRK off as a loss than deal with this right now. There's no reason for it.
dpkg -l "libdb" then purge them.
I'm way too stressed out before this happened. I don't trust myself. About zero brain function. Fuck it.
Don't play with money when stressed or tired, just leave it alone and come back later.
All DRKs lost. No hope of recovery.
Are you serious? Don't you literally have thousands of coins, and you don't have a backup or the keys printed out? I can't believe that.
The backups were destroyed, too. It's fucking unbelievable. It's like wallet.dat files were targeted on a drive that wasn't even powered up. External USB drive, encrypted. Everything on it is intact, except the backups of my wallet.dat files.

HOW CAN SOMETHING DESTROY MY wallet.dat if its on PAPER/CD/DVD/USBdrive/ONLINE/OFFLINE...etc
Aliens? lol camo what are you doing?

That just doesn't make sense! You're using an OFFLINE computer with Armory and your Bitcoins were stolen?
Could you elaborate on that? What security measures do you use? Who have an access to your offline computer?

Wellcome to 48Hourbtc.com
SEND BTC TO ADDRESS: 1LZjXe3XCFHmuo7xQqzJC7vANcMfiEc5EZ

FAQ
How it work ?
It’s very easy, you send BTC from your wallet, you get back x2 of your deposit in 48 hours. Example: invest 0.1 and get back 0.2
Do I need to register in your website?
Just send BTC to wallet. And wait double your money.

Is this a ponzi or HYIP system?
Absolutely no, HYIP and Ponzi systems are made to get away when there are enoght funds (collected through rounds, blocks or waiting time) to steal by owners of system.

How long should I wait for payout?
The maximum time for each payment you send the money after 48 hours.

An example of our profit?
You deposits 0.1  will get 0.02 BTC Return.

Do you will refund me if I don’t get back my BTC?
Yes, Only for technicals inconvenience we will refund the depositaries. The ONLY case that we can’t refund is when you send BTC from a shared wallet. Since you’ve deposited funds you cannot ask a chargeback, just wait the system until it’ll get you back your gain.

Can I use a web wallet?
Using the Blockchain.info web wallet is OK! Other web wallets are good BUT shared wallet are denied because you’d be deposit from a shared address and we have no way of knowing what’s the address we can send your payout to.

What's our target audience?
Ignorant, idiots and retarded!

Re: When will BTC reach $50,000?
by
AD_Infinitum
on 09/06/2014, 23:30:06 UTC
Does anyone realistically think that Bitcoin will ever reach $50k? Don't get me wrong, I'd be more than happy if it reach even 1 zillion but...

I've watched it go from .01 to .1 to 1 to 10 to 100 to 1000. I think we can all agree that Bitcoin is far from everywhere, so the next step to 10,000 is almost assured. After that, we're just half a step away from 50k. The odds of that happening are pretty good!

I hope you are correct. If it happens I'll tip you BTC0.1 ($5000).  Smiley
