I think it's fear/panic. When something shakes the whole market, it's very important to stay calm and think rationally, not just follow the others and rush to sell everything.

UpBit is a  very good one because it has a huge amount of volume on a daily basis, the same for Binance, those are my favourite ones because they work very well and you can easily use them. I think that there are too many exchanges now.

This one Upbit sounds new to me. Thanks for giving a hint:)
Yes, agree. Now there are way too many exchanges, and unfortunately, the majority of them are not as cool and secure as huge ones like Binance, for instance.

I think the best idea is actually developing your project - the working product.
Now many ICO projects share their big plans that will change the world, but in fact, they pay more attention to promotion rather than doing something. That's not a good approach at all

Re: Do you use cryptocurrency cards?

you should not credit cards, but create cards that are connected to the wallet used in bitcoin transactions.
With the card in my opinion will make it easier for bitcoin users to transact in the real world than to use their gadget to transact using bitcoin

We agree with genuin here. For a LIST OF CRYPTO DEBIT CARDS, showing deposit methods, fee levels, supported cryptocurrencies and more, see here: https://www.cryptowisser.com/debit-cards/

All the best,

Thanks for providing the link. It's good to see what cards there are in the world

Re: What do you think about crypto indices?

Yeah, I meant this thing. I mean some say that investing in such a fund is less risky when it comes to volatility as you actually buy the portfolio of top-5, top-20 of whatever

On what basis do we determine such list? So far, it seems that the top list is in terms of the market cap which I think don't actually reflect how stable their price is. Not only that, based on the current market condition, it seems that BTC dominance is still great that makes any other crypto beside it gets more volatile when Bitcoin is not in sideways. If there a solution for this, I think it might be interesting to see how crypto index will performs.

As far as I heard, there are such indices created by different companies. And they decide themselves what cryptos and how many of them they'd like to include

What's you opinion on crypto index? Is it a good strategy for passive, but efficient crypto investing?

I suppose by crypto index, you mean something like the index fund (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_fund).

I think 'crypto index' will be just like index fund in terms of performance, but the cycles will be much faster and quicker than the index fund. Actually, if we take a look at the crypto market, their historical price movement does seem to be mimicking or similar to how traditional (gold, silver, stocks) assets performance. Will it be good for passive investing? I don't think so, as sometimes there will be some tokens/coins that have a lower price than the average index that could increased more than 300% in just several months. CMIIW.

There are very convenient to use if you want easy access to your money. But to me that defeat the ideas of keeping my coins for long term since I got tempted to use those cards when am I need.

But isn't it good to use them instead of just keeping?

Like tenx card, bonpay card and bitpay card?

I havent used them but they are comfortable if you have no cash on hand.

But if the adoption isnt too wide in ones country, its convenience wont be experienced.

Exactly, I'm talking about such services.
Also, agree with you on the issue of mass adoption

IMO, credit card itself is a burden. i wouldn't support cryptocurrency cards.
This is just my opinion alone.

Can I ask you why you have such an opinion?

Honestly, you shouldn't use a debit card (fiat or crypto) when traveling the world. If your card is compromised, it is linked to your funds. Credit cards that do not charge foreign exchange fees are made for these trips. If you're going to use a card that acts like fiat, at least get the protection.

What kind of protection do you mean?

Yes and no, fees are high but also easier than waiting for it to hit my bank.

What card do you use? Is it possible to pay with it somewhere or is it just for converting crypto to fiat?

I think if we use such a card it is very good, and it is very useful for us all, and I myself am very happy to use the card because it can help for future success.
The problem is not in the use because we all know this is going to break barrier between the traditional banking and the cryptobank but the problem lies on the providers of this card. they are not interested in given out cards to unregulated cryptobank because of the issue of scam and money laundery which many have said cryptocurrency promote. when you listen to many peoples comment here on the thread you will realized nobody have said it emphatically that they are making use of the card despite the fact many ICO goal are centered around debit card provision. AMON, MONACO, kurecoin and many other ICO are still targeting this project

Your point is very good indeed. It's true that the main difficulty such projects face is the actual integration with banking processors and providers like Visa/MC or any local one, because it's the matter of policy and legislation, probably

i heard about those cards some time ago and i think that in some countries they could be useful, of course in future they will be more useful than now but it will be better to get one before everyone will want to order one for themselves.

Yes, these cards can surely bring more real use to cryptocurrency in our lives.

Guys, what's your view on cryptocurrency cards (like credit cards, I mean)? Is it convenient or useless? If someone has an experience of using them, would be glad if you share!

Hi there. I only recently started using one of the crypto debit cards called Wirex. I was looking for a way to fund my crypto investments via paypal (add crypto card to paypal and send funds to it). Wirex has very nice ios app, that has btc and ltc wallets. You can request cards (with free delivery) and currency account will be added to your app. So you get free card delivery and monthly account costs are for USD account $1.50 and for EUR account €1.20 (i think that it is same price).

But am thinking now, that it is good option to exit from my crypto positions. Just send funds to internal btc or ltc wallet and exchange for your local currency. In my case euro purchases within europe are free of charge and atm withdrawal fee is €2.25 (one downside is, max daily withdrawal amount is €250, which is not great 🤔).

Still have to test it out though, check all te fee and compare crypto exchange rates with exchanges etc. At the moment I am in stae of waiting for my card, after creating and authorizing my account. Will let you know ones my test is finished. Good luck with your crypto card exploration 👍

Thank you for sharing your experience. Tell me, is it possible to use this Wired card for doing offline purchases? I mean can stores accept it like simple Visa or Master Card? Or is it simply a way to convert crypto to fiat?

What a nice question, using cryptocurrency card is very easy and convenient but just that you will be charged for using the card too.

You mean the commission, right? Well, traditional bank cards also charge for some transactions

I once had a virtual cryptocurrency card that was used to buy some stuff online, because automatically our nominal balance was mixed with fiat. but when my deposit did not come in at all when it took to buy stuff online I stopped using it. that's my experience

So, as far as I got it, your card for only for online purchase? No offline shops?

There are many exchanges out there. Which one do you use and why?
Thanks!

I am trusting kucoin for a very long time and yobit as well because i did not get any problem on both of this exchangers in a very long run so i highly prefer to use this exchanger if you are a newbie.

I heard that there are quite many concerns about Yobit. Glad you haven't experienced any of them
