It pains me to say it but while the numbers phoenix reports, and its lower fee... I actually do get better numbers with claymore..

I find myself disappointed. because on paper phoenix was streaks ahead, but the numbers at the pool were a good chunk below reported and stales were much higher..

My biggest wish is that the inline tuning for AMD could be implemented for nvidia.. so that it can tune itself without having to restart.

Is anyone else also having a really smaller hashrate in comparison with, for example, last week? I've been mining and for the last 48 hours my hashrate at the ethermine pool has been 140mh/s ?! The local miner is showing constantly 30.5mh/s on all 5 cards? Is there a global hashrate drop or is it just the pool?

Ive had only 0.02 ETH since tuesday night, so yes, it would seem theres a drop, one thing Ive failed to understand is that (as mentioned before, each week ive been getting less and less, with 24/7 running) but how if you end up not mining for a while when you go back you almost seem to try make up for it, you seem to find a ton of shares initially and then it levels back up.  TBH with the cost of ETH going down, right now, I am wondering when I draw the line on is it cost effective.

@phoenixminer

Can anyone help me with this?

2.7c Ive been running this since it came out and Ive noticed slowly my mining rate is going down and down over the weeks. yet in someways the speed has either gone up or at least stayed the same - the amount mined in a week is going down.  i have a pair of 1080ti's

Oh well. Doesn't scare, or bother me.
I still like the PhoenixMiner. Works very well for me.

Same here

Would you mind telling everyone what you're talking about. Was claymore scared ?

the "scare" is claymore(maybe) and some people claim that phoenixminer stole a bunch of their code to make their miner.. some people said they could prove it.. but.. thats about as scary as it gets.. there is no "scare" only allegations

I also am not sure why the rate dropped at the beginning of that graph, but, it did for a few hours..

I would like to know if your miner supports multiple instances. I have 12 cards and would want 2 instances of your miner running simultaneously with 6 cards accessible for each instance. Reason for doing this is to increase probability of getting shares.

Could you comment if this is possible, how to achieve it and if it will yield the benefits I stated?

it already does, just restrict the GPUs on each one with the -gpus option. Im not quite sure how that would increase probability of getting shares, but try it and see

when i am opening .bat file the miner starts and closes automatically, i have read readme.txt and all miner options are set as mentioned.here is my .bat file
can anyone help me what is the problem about?

If you arent seeing an error, dont turn logging off and look in the log file .. it will be hard for anyone to help if you have no error or warnings.

its so nice to be amungst many 40+ people who remember the old stuff

So.. to @pheonixminer actually, it did it for EVERY devfee.. but it does seem to have stopped now.. Ive nothing my end which should stop it, in essence my firewall is all out nothing in if it was a 1 time error, Id not have reported it ran for about 8 hours never making a fee connection and then failed to make any connections at all

So the current main question is stale rate and are the numbers reporting the numbers received the other end..

So

Eth: Accepted shares 1600 (73 stales), rejected shares 0 (0 stales)
Eth: Incorrect shares 1 (0.04%), est. stales percentage 4.56%
Eth: Maximum difficulty of found share: 597.6 TH (!!!)
Eth: Average speed (5 min): 75.857 MH/s
Eth: Effective speed: 74.60 MH/s; at pool: 74.60 MH/s

ethermine says

reported: 76.01
average: 74.98

stales: 5%

so its pretty darn close to be fair.

Interesting...devfee or your mining pool? I'm mining exp on small pool, and have no problems

As a sidenote, I wish I'm younger and have time to dive into making miners, some really cool algos are coming that will
be very feasible for dual, or even triple mining...it will be interesting to see who'll adopt them first Smiley

just the devfee, but after a while, with 2.4 it stopped connecting to my pool too.  Ive now set going again with 2.5d and right here, right now its connecting and even did a devfee with connection, so.. I shall leave it running, but it died quite quickly yesterday on 2.4 so Im hoping.

I also wish I was younger, I used to code a lot.. Id also have taken a stab at building a miner, package it up so its a service, quietly doing its thing.. its not like I dont know how to code for linux and windows.. Im sure I could have done something but now Im older i get home and the enthusiasm just has worn out..

I carefully tested it and it works better than Claymore for me

yeah it worked great for me as 2.4 until the time I started up my second PC with it, then it started the cannot connect stuff and now wont seem to stop - other miner apps are fine. Shame cos otherwise I really like the speed on this

I looked forward to 2.5 as I had problems like the others with it not making connections

but

17560:16:39:11.546: main DevFee: Connecting to ethash pool eth-eu2.nanopool.org:9999
17560:16:39:11.572: edev DevFee: Connected to ethash pool eth-eu2.nanopool.org:9999
17560:16:39:11.572: edev DevFee: Send: {"id":1,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_submitLogin","worker":"eth1.0","params":["0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E"]}

17560:16:39:11.612: edev DevFee: Connection closed by the pool
17560:16:39:12.222: edev DevFee: Giving up after 1 retries, switching to next pool

2.5d doesnt seem to be working quite right either, unless now at least it will continue with the connection it had.
