I am sorry but as more as i am reading what you are selling to us, more ridiculous it gets. Claiming mining rights on asteroid...If that is supposed to happen in near future, like 20 years from now (more like 100 years), mega private corporations will do it and they won't care about what we claimed years back. I wish you luck, but sorry i just don't get it. If it's supposed to be a joke, well its funny fur sure.
Hi CrazyJack, its not as outrageous as it seems and its not that far away as you think. Definitely not a joke and we have made significant progress.
Our ICO is mainly for community building and we have also received significant external funding. Part of our funding will be to handle the legal side to ensure that there is a legal standpoint to firm up the claims.
Further this this, ASTRCoin extends far greater as a currency than just a claiming mechanism. We are building an entire eco-system around a space-currency and market that will evolve as the industry grows.

We value all opinions 4xGod and we understand that not all people will believe that the ICO is real or that may feel that it is "fishy". However our company has been working hard behind the scenes for 2 years to validate our model and our business plan. Mining asteroids is real, it is going to happen in the near future, our plan is to democratize it so all can have a say, not just the select few.
Our ICO is to build a community that believes that "Space is ours" not just for the select few billionaires who get there first.

I understand that some may think this is a scam, much like when the first car hit the roads, or even now, Asteroid Mining is treated as far fetched, whimsical or 50 years away... But yet, there are companies now working towards this technology and are estimating mining with 3 to 10 years.
So our project asks the question, who has the right to mine and to claim the vast wealth within each asteroid. We want this for all humankind. And although ICO's may appear like a scam, the company behind it is not.

As our eco-system evolves we are building a claiming system for a Blockclaim (a % claim on an Asteroid) will be released as per our Road-map. This will then allow the ASTR used to purchase your claims, this will mean demand for ASTR will increase and the eco-system will grow.
We will launch ASTRcoins at a $10 USD value after ICO. This means 1 ASTR = 1 BlockClaim. As the market value evolves the Registration Fee will remain the same $10 USD (payable in ASTR) = $1,000,000 Claim Value. Its resources are for the benefit of all mankind but there stills needs to be an order to how we access this value. We believe that our BlockClaim ecosystem will allow everyone access to make their claim for a $10 USD registration fee for $1,000,000 claiming value. The Registration Fee will only be payable in ASTR and therefore support the Blockchain Ledger to ensure the registration is public and secure.

My question is surely naive, but for now, Is it possible to mine an asteroide in space ? And if in the future we can do that, it must be extremely expensive.

Is it possible right now... no.
But it is going to happen, and sooner than you think.
There are companies right now sending satellites up as early as next year to do scans and phase 1 exploration. The estimate within a 5 year period, they will be mining resources.
There is talk of capturing asteroids and bringing them into the moons orbit for easier mining has also been discussed by some organisations.
However the technique of mining it is going to happen. The question you should ask is, who has the rights to mine, and is it first come first served...
The aim of our organisation is to bring these resources and royalties to human kind, not just the few. The blockchain register allows us to do that.

The name ASTRCoin which is the AsteroidCoin is really seems interesting and also, the project as well. When I first read the name it gives me the idea about space. The idea of this project that is defining moment in the continuing development of space exploration. It is uniquely positioned as a transactional currency both presently through the BlockClaim mechanism and in the foreseeable future as the potential digital currency in the mining of asteroids, is really nice.
yes the idea for ASTR is to become a currency within the eco-system. Our first project "BlockClaim Ledger" will become the first system to use ASTR, but there will be more and more systems and businesses that will choose to use ASTR as their currency of choice as our technology starts to rollout through the industry.

Yes, very ambitious project, but if you think about it, Asteroid mining is happening, the "exploration stage" is happening now. The companies doing this, all talk about the vast wealth these asteroids will bring.... to them selves! Our intention is to bring this wealth to human-kind and our blockchain claiming platform will allow us to do just that.

So ASTRCoin prioritizes on securing the information coming from people or users. I hope this project aim its goal for building a decentralized database whereby private individuals, corporations and nation states can register claims on mining rights. Secutity is a good thing that clients always wants.
The decentralization nature of our blockchain ledger is the cornerstone to our platform. Not only is it important for it to be decentralized it is essential. We will be managing data and personal records in a similar way to that of the ICANN and the domain industry.
However, initially not everything will be stored into the blockchain (its not practical to do so with the amount of information), but our ambition as our platform and eco-system evolves will be making this more and a pure decentralized system.

collecting personal information for security is purposes, these is really a good thing to secure ones data. At least your company and the participant/investor itself can be the only one to claim any purchases, earnings. but aside from that do you still have other security options like double IP restrictions etc..?
The ICO process is standard and secure and only collects the information that is needed for this stage of the process. Our future BlockClaim platform will have all of the essential security and privacy requirements for that of the standard enterprise level systems.

What do you mean by space investment (investing in the very companies that will be reaching for the asteroid)? Could you please explain further.
We are undertaking a very ambitious product and we have a road-map that indicates that we will be investing in the space industry. Yes, it is our intention to be involved in the space mining community either through legal reform, investments, technology and of course evolution of our own eco-system. We want to make the possible for everybody, not just a select few companies and their shareholders.

Thanks Warawolf, it will definitely become mainstream, but what the companies fail to talk about is, "do they have the rights to actually mine those asteroid"?.
Our company is challenging that very idea and trying to put it into the hands of all mankind. Mining royalties for everybody who participates rather than a few select companies who can afford to go. That is the core to our project. The best way to do this is via a blockchain distributed ledger so we can all see who owns the resources in space.
