@azaman are you using Linux OS? it seems that the --oc1 works to me fine the --oc2 reduce my power consumption and there's a little reduce in hashrate compared on using --oc1.

I'm using windows 10 with 4.19.17 driver installed.

Have you tried down grading or upgrading your driver latest or below version?

Hi, yes im using linux - Im using Hiveos. driver is 418.43
oc1 is supposed to be more efficient.
oc2 is maximum performance. (great if electricity is cheap)

Hi AZaman,
we are sorry, but maybe we did not understand exactly what you consider to be the problem. Smiley
With --oc1 we expect that the cards with less power would benefit more.

Did you try running miniZ without --oc1? What was the difference?
Could you paste here right the beginning of the log? (Right after "******** miniZ v1.2m ********")
Cheers

here is the beginning of the log:

i have 6 1080ti mining rig , and --oc1 only seems to work on one card. using hiveos

anyone know why? GPU1 in image

Hi AZaman,
it should work on all cards, however we see your point.

After some time, do the values for GPU0 and GPU1 converge to a higher value?
We notice that they are a bit warmer than the rest of your GPUs, might affect the performance even though it not a great difference.

Let us know if after a few hours the difference is maintained. Also, do you have any display hardware attached?
Additonally, could you paste the log here? The information in the begining should be enough (the GPUs info is the most important).

Thanks.

When was the last time anything from sp_ produced this kind of an improvement FOR FREE?

When I did opensource work i pushed the most profitable algos at the time like quark +50% faster. for FREE. I have done my opensource part for the community. Time to move on and let the cuda students take over. 4-5 years ago mining was done by the few in their garage and basements. Today you have bigger farms, bigger coins, and more money invested in equipment. Improving the money maker for free doesn't make sense anymore.

You'll earn a lot more from devfees compared to a flat subscriber's fee if you release your mods publicly, assuming that they are indeed the best for the given algo.
EWBF still earns $6000 PER DAY even though he abandoned his miner a year ago. Claymore earns more than $10k per day from his devfees.

Yes, there are always ways to disable the devfee, but they are a very very tiny minority that are not even a rounding error. Think about it.

everyone wants something for nothing ; "give me something for free, so I can increase my profits".
if SP_ doesnt want to release his stuff for free, thats down to him.
How much money he wants to make in a day, thats down to him.
choosing to pay/not pay for his mods - down to you.

On the fence about this.  I liked the original post format, was entertaining, but am a little gun shy of actually downloading.  If this is true and a lot of people are it would definitely be worth the dev fee.

with so many people downloading and trying, and confirming it's working, i think reduces the risk. but each should make their own risk assessment. personally im trying it out on a spare machine with a fresh W10 install, pretty much nothing else installed.

agree with you about the dev fee, reward where it's due!

or a personal note, i was on the fence about getting some vega cards...well not anymore!

Do you have a link for the miner.

Whats your hashrate?

Look in releases if you do not want to compile.

crashes after a couple of hours for me  Huh

Recently discovered this, very nice project, has potential.

I have one question, whats the best miner to mine this coin for amd gpu (rx580) at the moment? Im using old nsgminer, not even sure if i set all parameters right.

are you on windows ? use gateless gate https://github.com/zawawawa/gatelessgate/releases
for optimal hashrate power with an RX 580 try : -g 1 -w 256 --rawintensity 9216
batch example :
@echo off
@set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
@set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
@set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
@set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
@set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
gatelessgate.exe -k neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu1.altminer.net:4233 -u YourTrezarWalletAddress -p c=TZC --g 1 -w 256 --rawintensity 9216

My hashrate is about 60% better, thanks a lot!

intensity 9216 heats up the cards! almost 70deg

Is their software out there that will mine with both AMD and Nvidia from the same executable.
a bit like the claymore software.
