I don't know why the thread moderator marked my previous message as "unwanted" and canceled it. I was just unhappy about the latest days trend and since I'm owner of 200 000 XVG (that are not so many I know, but they are, anyway, money) if I write something like "today is falling down /cry" it's just my concern and I, like everybody of you, will be happy when this coin strike down the book and reaches a good value.

I finally had a chance to play with the new Tor Android wallet. It worked awesomely with super fast transactions; i saw my deposits in the wallet in a matter of seconds. Excellent job Dev team!
The only problem i had was with Orbot. The copy of Orbot i downloaded from the Google play store just wouldn't work and so of course i did a bunch of unnecessary trouble shooting to fix it but it still wouldn't work.
The Tor website recommended downloading Orbot from f-droid.org Guardian repository instead. So i did that and now Orbot loads up perfectly and integrates seamlessly with the Verge TorDroid wallet (after selecting apps VPN mode in Orbot).
So i suggest to anyone else having issues getting Orbot running on their android device to go to f-droid.org and download their app and then download Orbot from their Guardian repo.
I like how people are quick to bury good news, but this app is incredible.
No other crypto is bringing anything to the table like Sunerok and team; and a lot of other coins are getting severely butt hurt by Verge's growing popularity and game changing releases.

I agree. I am holding since 7 sat. Only tried to sell a small chunk once, regreted it immediately and decided do HODL until.. until.. you know. yachts etc

right now, we're considering started a crowdfund to get custom verge ledger nano s's. it's just an idea.
(it costs 49k eur/56k usd for 1000 units, which we could then sell in our shop for xvg/btc)
of course, donators to the crowdfund that pledge x amount, would get one for that.

I just realized that loopback - dummy IPs - on the user side, but public ledger can be integrated so smoothly in the IOT / connected vehicles/ smart city echo system.
they are estimating billions of things connected by 2020 and blockchain will be used as backbone instead of deploying centralized nodes around the end users.
now the thing is that corporations are already starting to build private blockchains to accommodate this. Basically a virtual currency will be used to pay inside those chains. there are a lot examples on this if we search.
Do you find feasible to try to tackle the IOT market?

im not so sure i understand. are you suggesting we run verge's blockchain through the internet of things? if so, it's not really a great idea. no one is going to want to install verge on their washing machine/dishwasher/thermostat/etc. as it stands right now, the internet of things is not very secure and is often exploited to perform attacks. (see here: http://www.npr.org/2016/10/22/498954197/internet-outage-update-internet-of-things-hacking-attack-led-to-outage-of-popula) also, most devices on the iot do not have an option to install additional software. please clarify what you are explaining.

but to me i could see Verge as the backbone for a lot of "Internet of Things" transactions because of the coin supply, open ledger, and anonymity.
Once Verge implements smart contracts, IOT transactions with Verge will be possible.
I was also pondering the idea of Verge's blockchain being used in the autodriving infrastructure, Tesla, Inc. is developing. Elon Musk would be wise to break from the pack and create an ICO through the Verge network (so would a lot of businesses). For autocars he would want the information flow to be on the darknet so as not to allow hackers to identify any single person's vehicle for attack.
Just throwing it out there, knowing you VergeDEV though, you've already got something up your sleeve in this regard.
But one thing at a time right?

Do you guys think $xrp's move to reach bitcoins market cap opens up the market for any of the top slots amongst every ranked currency? We know it's too much growth at once, it's wild that it doesn't stop, but my interest is... could the limits of billions be broken soon and hit the trillions as a mass migration ensues the likes of which no one in existence has ever witnessed before? (Aside from whatever currencies do end up on top)

Segwit on XVG would be a transparent move to pump the coin. If it ever got even close to the blocks needing the extra space it would be worth considering but I think for now it makes more sense to focus on what XVG needs and not what the current crypto trend is.

yeah, mkinney just helped me get the mac build for travis-ci back on track on github. also i just realized the new QT version will let me put the radio into the windows wallets finally, so since we're launching a new stand alone radio station, im going to set it up in the new wallet, but also give it its own repository (https://github.com/justinvforvendetta/radiocrypto-qt) so anyone can add it to their wallet/qt application. lots of good things coming for verge. a new round of special android wallets coming too, and the next win wallets will have some improvements other than just the radio stream.

Thanks also to mkinney, and BuZz, and all the other leet devs that help and have helped with this remarkable project. I think someone else is out there too doing a nice job behind the scenes marketing and generating the recent volume..
You also mentioned coin mixing in the i2p. It's a great idea. It gives the coin mixing fans what they want while maintaining VERGE's true anon i2p obfuscation, making it that much stronger, and blowing away all other anonymous blockchains (is it safe to call them pseudo-anonymous now?). Is i2p mixing something you might start working on next after these upcoming releases?
I know you don't like to boast dev but it's true so i'll say it for you: VERGE is better than bitcoin or any other crypto, i don't give a fuck. All the whales and the sharks are starting to realize it.

I've been a long in XVG since its first days as DogecoinDark, mining it when it was just a glimmer in the eye of Dev and only minable on a few different scrypt sites. I came across DogecoinDark when it was an infant on Suchpool.
DogecoinDark rebranded to VERGE and took on a brave evolution last year going multi-algo after being the target of a legit 51% scrypt attack based out of China. Dev took swift action against the attacker by implementing multi-algo. DogeDarkDev rallied a team-effort by many devs actually to act so quickly. However, it did create a supply glut crashing price now that 5 different algos could mine it.
I held my long position through last years pump and crash and intend to continue to hold a substantial long position in this great coin for years to come.
Look at it as a POW ICO, you get to mine and buy at fair market value until supply eventually dries up... (nudges Dev to then implement POS )
but at the current mining rate the need to POS won't become necessary until 5 years from now.
And about the supply amount, how is 12.8 Billion a lot when these people alone have way more than that in USD?

Dev has a real life and is a real person with a family and he does private projects as well as work on this coin. Give him space, he's done a damn good job thus far.
