thank you for referring me to a link similar to my post. i am somewhat knowledgeable about the rules in this forum and i know that i should look up first whether someone has already posted something similar to my question. but my problem is whenever i would try to search something from the search bar, nothing would show up. if something would to show up, the results wont be related to my search. i dont know if the problem is from my computer or its a problem here in bitcointalk. also if someone had already posted something similar to my post, should i delete that post?
Yeah, I understand what you mean. I hope you didn't take my first sentence the wrong way. I just needed to point it out and not shut you down.  Okay, so I had the same issues when I registered on the forum and was still learning how things worked. I noticed that whenever I used the search bar on the top right corner of the screen, the results where the as what you have explained. But then I discovered that there was another search at the top left side of the screen. And this one gave the expected results. Have you tried it?

Thank you. I just took your first sentence as maybe a warning that I should follow the rules. I want to keep this community as best it could be and I could do that by following the rules. I think I have read that I shouldn't post something that someone has already posted that's why I asked if I should delete a post if someone has already posted something similar to it.

I have not tried it and I can't really see another search bar other than the one on the right. I'm using both PC and a mobile phone and I can't see it on both devices. I would really appreciate it if you could show me a screenshot.

Re: What makes someone a high value person?

Lots of people are now confidently vocal about the fact that they are one of the society’s high value individual but what exactly are the criteria required to be classified as a high value individual asides money?

this question varies depending on who answers it. for some, just because you have money or power means you are a high value individual. for me a high value individual is someone that is respectable and also know how to respect. someone who is righteous, do good deeds and helps people but is still humble. someone who is experienced can can share his/her experiences from other people so that others can learn from it. someone who is wise and knows what to do if he/she encounters a situation that needs critical thinking. these are just my opinion on what a high value individual is.
Hmm. You all worship money, but you are all too f@#$ing stupid to appreciate a cryptocurrency with a mining algorithm that is designed to solve the most important scientific problem. You are all s@#$.

Regards,

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

And how do you think your reply is relevant to what I said? Just because you have a Ph.D makes you any better than anyone else. In fact how you treat others and how you replied with negativity just shows how you're just a very low level value person that doesn't worth anyone's time. You putting your name and Ph.D there just shows that that is the only thing that you're proud of and it's sad.  Sad

Well I did use to smoke alot of cigarettes but I never did vape. I think this boy is going to get lung cancer and it so sad this is how they test these poisonous vapes.

He is smoking over three full vapes per day while at work. https://www.unilad.com/news/health/how-vapes-made-testing-process-635978-20240818

woww. from what i saw on the videos i have watched on tiktok, vaping is even more dangerous than smoking. it has caused more people to go to hospitals than smoking and most of the patients are young people. until today i didnt even know there was such jobs available like this.

how come this got approved by the government?

Re: Are you ready for 2025?

It's almost the 4th quarter of 2024, that means 2025 is right around the corner.

What do you want to finish by year's end?

What is going to be your focus for 2025?

i am so ready for it that i just want time to fast forward haha. i'm a 3rd year college student and by next year i would be able to graduate and end this part of my "schooling" life. by the end of 2024, i would like to gain more wisdom so that i can inspire the people around me and be someone that they could look up to and follow.

i would also want to gain more knowledge about anything that i could use as i would enter my adulting life soon. i'm really excited to work and soon i will be having my OJT at a hotel in my countires' capital far away from my hometown and family. even though when i think about it at times it might seem scary but that's whats exciting about life. you'll never really know whats going to happen in the future and all you can do is wait and see.

my focus for 2025 would be me graduating and be so excellent in the OJT that the hotel would give me a permanent position to service them further and also gain job experiences.

I would like to know anybody's opinions about this.
A similar question has been asked and answered a year ago. Refer to this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5450047.0

Which is better depends on many factors
Interest - I am more interested in crypto trading than in trading forex. So definitely crypto for me.

Secondly, crypto is easier as I can even decide not to trade and hold and when the value appreciates I make money. In forex, you must trade and that's it. There's no holding.

Lastly, I will say not to limit yourself. You can learn both and do both if that's what you want. Despite being similar they have their own unique differences that stands them out.

Re: Why buying a home is usually a terrible investment (vs buying bitcoin).
by
Adiepretty
on 24/08/2024, 17:42:45 UTC
Most people buy into the myth that buying a home is the best investment you can ever make...but more often than not that idea is just a myth.

Take the US as an example. The average house in N. America appreciates 5 to 6 per cent per year, which sounds great at first glance. In 10 years the value of your house will almost double.

But  most people don't take into account the interest rate where the average homeowner is paying approx. 6% annual interest on a typical 30-year fixed mortgage.
So the interest alone is wiping out the gains on your annual 6% appreciation. On top of that you are paying 1% property tax year every year, maintenance and repair costs, etc.

Making matters  worse is that for the first ten years or so most or all of your payments are applied to the interest, so you wont have any actual ownership or equity of the home,
or very little...for the first ten years. And consider that much of the appreciation of your house is simply due to inflation. So if inflation is 5% per year then that alone is undermining your actual appreciation.

I'm not saying that owning a house is a bad thing, there are certainly benefits to home ownership. It provides you with a place to live, you can borrow against it,
you can pass it down to your kids, etc. If you just want to have a place to live and call your own then owning a house may be a great idea for you, but don't think of it as some kind of
incredible financial investment because it is not as great as you may think.

I don't know about your country but in my country, owning land and have a real estate is still more profitable. Business wise, if you buy land and build apartments on it, you would have monthly profit and the estimated return of investment will be just 9 years.

Re: What do you do when your position is against bitcoin direction?

Just watch and wait. Be patient and control your fear and greed. When I'm trading I always use take profit and stop loss. With it, I wouldn't be risking all the money in my account and I could manage my loss at the same time could manage greed. No one could really know where the price will go but if you learn how to read the charts you could also predict where it would go. Just patience and dedication in learning will help you along the way.

Re: Phone or laptop? Which one do you prefer to use for trading?
by

It is advisable to use a bigger screen when trading. It will help you read the charts better and it's more convenient to use than a cellphone. I'm guessing you're asking this question because you're planning to start trading and you only have a phone for now? Just a piece of advice before you start to trade, do a lot of research. Practice with dummy trading accounts first and have a mentor. These will help you succeed in trading and be profitable.

Re: Why I think trading is no different from Gambling!
by
Adiepretty
on 24/08/2024, 16:55:52 UTC
If you don't know what you're doing and you're just depending on chances, trading will become like gambling. I always tell this to my friends when they tell me they want to learn how to trade. In order for it to not become like gambling, you shouldn't just go trading without knowing anything about it. Learn, read, and watch a lot before trading. I advise to learn how to trade for 4 to 5 months. Do your own research or enroll in a trading class where a professional will teach you how to trade. With that you'll be profitable and it won't be like gambling.

I'm not a pro at trading and the answer to your question varies depending on how big your capital is when you do a trade. Trading at a higher capital will obviously give you more profit if the trading is successful but if you're on the negative, you could also lose more. It just depends on your skill as a trader, how you read the charts, how you handle greed and fear, etc.

Re: WILL OWNING 1 BTC MAKE GENERATIONAL WEALTH?
by
Adiepretty
on 24/08/2024, 12:19:04 UTC
Will owning 1 btc make generational wealth?

I believe cryptocurrency is the currency of the future. I'm sure that maybe 20 years from now cryptocurrency will be accepted in all countries if not, mostly all. The world is evolving day by day and as we can see from all the generations, there are always improvement happening. Bitcoin, altcoins, and any crypto is a thing that could contribute to that improvement. So my answer to your question is yes. Although generational wealth is a different topic and there are a lot of factors that could stop a generation wealth depending on each generation.
