Re: Bitcoin Price Defends $3.5K After Cboe Pulls ETF Proposal
by
Agapelove
on 27/01/2019, 14:28:50 UTC
I don't know if it just only me but I really didn't care much about the ETF proposal... If BTC rode from cents to 20K without the ETF proposal in view then we are still good.

That's right, Bitcoin started from 0 without ETF but stil rise up to $20k. These only means that even without the ETF proposals Bitcoin would still be on the go for another bullrun.

Agree! Bitcoin investors are numb about any bitcoin ETF disapproval or postponement. Bitcoin will eventually find its way to go mainstream adoption as time goes by. As soon as we shifted back our focus on the development of the technology rather than focusing on investment.

Gold is a piece of metal nothing less more. On the contrary, bitcoin is a digital assets backed up by blockchain technology. The bitcoin blockchain is a technology that can be used in financial transactions and in other fields. Thus, the existence of bitcoin is just starting. Once the blockchain technology has been maximized, there is no doubt bitcoin price will rise.

Though the price of bitcoin hasn't recovered that much, this year 2019 is better compared last year. The price of bitcoin is a.bit steady around $3,500 with nice fluctuations this January. The expected bull run is far from happening, there's no signs of bull run.

Re: 2020 best year for ICO
by

on 26/01/2019, 23:28:05 UTC
How can you determine that 2020 will be the year of cryptocurrency if the whole market is a volatile in nature and very unpredictable because of the speculations. Considering that the market is still on the bearish period for more than a year. Most likely predictions will fail if we don't see any significant movement this 2019.

Re: Crypto's worst nightmare
by

The year 2018 was completely the crypto's worst nightmare, it's really been full of ups and downs. But in spite of the bear market, there's is Dapp.com who still made it. In fact, they contributed $6.7B throughout 2018. You may be interested to check their Dapp Market Report, such awesome!

You considered 2018 as worst only if you invested bigtime in 2017 and bought coins at very high prices. The 2018 was the opposite of 2017. A loss of atleat 90% registered in the history of cryptocurrency. But, looking at the whole history of cryptocurrency 2018 was better compared to the other slump years.

Re: Is ICO investment still worth it?
by
Agapelove
on 26/01/2019, 22:25:41 UTC
For the past two months almost all the ICOs i have invested when they get listed on exchange, they are reduced by about 300% of the price i bought it. Those who buy after the ICO tend to gain more profit than we the early adopters. Now am confused whether i should continue with ICO investments or stop. Guys what do you think

To say, ICO investment is worth it if the project itself is really worth it. Why would  you invest on such an ICO that has a bad reputation? Well, choose the best to ensure the payback of your investment.

ICOs as you said are very risky for the past year. This might be the effect of the bearish market. Also, the effect of scams.and frauds for the past years. A lot of investors became a victim of scammers especially by ICOs. So, before investing in ICOs, perform due diligence but still the chances of being failed is high. Based in study, more than 90% of the ICOs failed last year.

Re: ADA or XRP

In my opinion, XRP is a better investment compared to ADA. This can be proven by XRP competing nicely with ETH for the 2nd and 3rd position in terms of market capitalization. Also, XRP is backed up by the Ripple platform that can be very useful in banking institutions.

More and more are being aware that cryptocurrency is very useful and will be more useful in the future. The government of different countries are starting to discuss the recognition of cryptocurrency and how will these digital assets affect the economy. Though cryptocurrency has several issues and concerns tha make government to ban this. However, cryptocurrency is still very young. It has a lot to improve. For sure, developers are starting to resolve important issues such as functionality, security, liquidity, and adoptation.

Re: Will STO survive?
by

on 25/01/2019, 06:10:43 UTC
It's difficult to tell if STO will perform as good as ICOs in 2017. Since in STO securities are being purchase as a form of investment, it is said to be regulated by SEC. And I am not sure if investors like to be identified. This is the primary concern of survival. Though the intension of STO is great to minimize scams and frauds. But, that is the down side of it which is regulation.

Re: 2019, A Challenging Year for Ethereum
by

on 23/01/2019, 23:59:22 UTC
I agree that Ethereum is facing a very challenging year in 2019 especially with the postponement of the Constantinopole hard fork. What might investors think of ethereum if they can't resolve the issue of upgrades. They already have the roadmap but hasn't been launched on time. If they can resolve these and followed the roadmap, there would be no problem with Ethereum.

Re: are ICOs really dead?

The problem of ICOs nowadays is that they are making a hard time to reach the cap. Investors look like they are moving away from ICOs these days. It may either be due to avoid scammers or losses knowing that most ICOs had failed eventually. But, ICOs are not dead. The list is only been trimmed down to few, which is better.

Re: Is KYC necessary for crypto-to-crypto exchanges?
by

As of now, a lot of traders don't prefer KYC in their cryptocurrency transactions. And I'm not sure if most of them are in favor of having KYC in exchange of a more secured transactions or systems. For me, KYC is necessary for the ones who are putting up crowdfundings. But, for the traders, I don't think it is necessary.

I can't imaganine up to now, how could these exchanges haven't been hacking-proof exchanges. Are these hackers really better than those who are developing exchanges? If this is the case, it is not really safe to put all your digital assets in an exchanges unless they are being used for trading.

As long as bitcoin has a value, it can still recover. What matters here is how developers will maximize the usefulness of bitcoin blockchain. This is the concern about bitcoin, most people treat bitcoin as digital asset only rather than a technology.

Even without internet blackouts, blockchain technology and fiat money will exist simultaneously. Blockchain technology will revolutionize significant transactions and processes but not all. This is the reason why fiat will still exist.

Day trading is only for skilled and experienced traders. Also for those who have a lot of capital that even they have lost some, they can make a return for the others times. For those who are not good in trading, the best thing is to hold until the next bull run to avoid losses.

Re: Will cyptocurrency never be great again as it was?
by

The best of cryptocurrency happened last 2017 in terms of market capitalization and prices. But, that was due to the hype that brought a lot of new investors to enter th cryptocurrency. Year 2018 brought the corrections to the 2017 hype. Now, 2019 the prices is fluctuating at steady market.

I think cryptocurrency will soon be maximized and utilized fully as it was designed to be. The technology is very young that it has more to improve.

Trading cryptocurrencies is not as easy as other cryptoenthusiasts are saying. One factor that makes trading a bit harder is the volatility of the market. Also, the unpredictability of the market show a huge rise and then followed by a much more decline. That's why trading is for wise and strong people. People that are not afraid to lose.

Re: Is regulation good or bad?
by
Agapelove
on 19/01/2019, 23:56:59 UTC
Regulations should bring some security to the investors in terms that they won`t be scammed. It is not good if each country would have their own regulations, it would be preferable to have global regulations.

I agree with you about setting up regulations on using cryptocurrency. It would not make cryptocurrency useless with regulations. One of the issues of cryptocurrency is the security of the investors. Scammers are taking advantage of the no regulations system. Not just scammers, even criminals and illegal transactions are easy to deal without any trace. These are just some reasons why some governments are not recognizing cryptocurrency. The economy might be affected by non-traceable transactions.

Re: What are your top five coins of all times
by

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, and EOS are the top five digital assets in terms of market capitalization. Among them, I'll take away Bitcoin Cash in the top five and replace it with Litecoin. Litecoin has shown nice improvements in its price since the start of the year.
