Re: Does refusal to play (deprivation) help cure gambling addiction?
by

In my opinion I think it's one of the right steps to take when you are trying to recover from gambling addiction. Because what you don't do constantly you start losing the urge for it. Not just depriving yourself for a like a month or two. If you can deprive yourself for like a whole year or two, and find something else to engage your mind like learning a new skill or finding anything that will keep your mind engaged for that period of time that you are depriving yourself from gambling. You will find out at the end of the deprivation period, that you will view gambling differently from the way you saw it at the first time that you were battling addiction. The urge for those reckless gambling will fade away and the addiction will be gone.

It will be very difficult to get over addiction if they rely on deprivation to quit addiction. They may not do it constantly, but they stay around those who do it, they see Ads and make use of applications that supports gambling adverts. I will suggest total abstinence to anything that has to do with gambling. Even if it means by a new device with a restriction any gambling apps or website. Once the gambler dont see any gambling Ads, his mind wont go into gambling at any time, that way they will forget about gambling for a while.

There have been a lot of controversy in the game against Chelsea vs Fulham. The Fulham supported are angry they were rubbed off a clear goal in the first half, and honestly the VAR would've stayed out of it, it was an accidental foul as the player was in possession of the ball. During the second half another foul happened on Jao Pedro before touching the hand of the Fulham defender but they were awarded a penalty. I think the VAR system needs to be rechecked, and apologies should later be giving to Fulham.

Andre Onana has obviously lost his confidence since playing for Manchester United, I know how good and smart he used to be back in the days at Inter Milan and Ajax and suddenly can’t even make a statement save. At this point I would advise to try a new challenge elsewhere and maybe it could be a turning point after all.
With this Andre  Onana pervious performance I think he doesn't longer have any spot or chance in the Manchester United team or squad, there is no chance  that Manchester United team will still put Andre Onana over the Turkish goal keeper Bayinder former Fernerbache goal keeper, I think he have already own a spot and chance already in the Manchester United over Onana until Manchester United  buy a new goal keeper, i thought Manchester United was going for a goal keeper but it seems they were not serous for it  but I think these mistake from their goal keepers have rally thought them a lesson  so they will be serous for finding a goal keeper.

For sure Andre Onana will leave the team either this transfer window that is still or next season or less they are going to bench in different matches.

Häcken football team performance was very excellent in the last match as that team did back to back 7 goals in this match and opponent team goals were only 2 in this match. We saw one sided match because two players did 2,2 goals in this match. Gustafson was a person who did goal at 2 minutes and that was at the start of the match and after few minutes, we saw one  more goal by same player and  now he did goal at 34 minutes of the match. Dembe was a person who played excellent in this match and he did his first goal at  61 minutes and he did last and second last goal of the match. He did last goal at 70 minutes .We saw five goals in the first half of the match and we saw only two goals in the second half of the match and match was ended with one sided result.
The Hacken team really used the advantage of them been in home in first match to tear their opponent CFR Cluj which was a very shameful and disappointing match or result from them, I expected that game to be an easy one for the CFR Cluj  but it did not work out as I expected it was such an unexpected turn around for me.

Coming to 2nd leg CFR Cluj lost all hope of even doing a come back because the goal margin was too much for them to even think of doing a come back.

Re: Risks tied to using a single exchange
by

on 29/08/2025, 20:31:14 UTC
To have top scale protection on your assets you should be keeping them on a private wallet so you don’t get swept away by unexpected losses when you have them on an exchange.
But for the OP it’s about trading not funds protection or security. The OP is recommending trading not only on one exchange and there is sense in that.

By unexpected losses do you mean theft attempt or hacks from a third party? If yes, you are right. As a trader, only have money for trade in the exchange and by the time you are done trading you send them back to your wallet.

I know many persons would complain about the fees during these process. Since spending fees every time you end trading, you can do it weekly, at the end of each week you send the profits to the wallet and leave only the amount you want to trade with.

Amorim must be hoping that the new players haven't settled into the team yet. Because if this is really the game they're going to play, he's got a tough job ahead of him. We'll have to wait a few weeks. In the meantime, they surely know that their realistic goal isn't the championship. It's impossible for this team to compete against Arsenal and Manchester City.
About goalkeeper issue it looks like they will continue with Altay Bayındır. But if they sell Onana they have to buy another goalkeeper, which would be better than Altay.

Before now, Amorim had a conviction that the team is better to what it was last season. Not knowing, it has become worst. TBH, the pre season games blinded their eyes from the truth. They never lost in their pre seasons games which gave them so much confidence into the new season.
Now Amorim has lost confident in the team, and the players moral have reduced because it feels like the coach dont believe in them and himself anymore. In an interview he said, "sometimes he feels like he should leave the club and other times he feels he should stay for 20 years". Isn't it obvious Amorim is confused right now.

Re: ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER
by

Our government really need to do something about this issue of lack of water because if it continues like this it will lead to something else, water is a free gift and people should have access to the best of it which is clean water.

What do you expect the government to do for you? Get a borehole and dig pure water in every houses? Please tell me.

I think is is right time we stop calling the government for everything, and things that we can provide for ourselves. Without the government, many private individuals can provide clean water for people who dont have access to it. It doesn't cost so much that a private individual cannot afford to do it. At the same time, personally we should dig a bore hole, and get clean water for ourselves, it wont kill us if we do it and stop waiting for the government. Its our health that at risk not theirs.

The general reason why we gamble is because we want more than what we have, lets leave fun aside. If we are satisfied with what we have we wouldn't be looking for more. So the problem isn't easy access to to casino online. And there is no need for any gambler to see that as a problem because every adult must take full responsibility off their actions.

Re: The economy is about competition
by
Agbamoni
on 29/08/2025, 15:51:29 UTC
It is a competitive market, and you do not need to wait until a seller fails to deliver before you swoop in to take advantage. Immediately you are able to identify a competitive edge in the market, a way to deliver better quality that what already exists, you can get in market. Consumers do not care about emotions, they will follow the better quality service or product that is delivered. Competition in the market within a country and in the global environment, helps encourage countries to keep trying to improve on the quality of products and services they deliver so as to remain at the top of the market.

You are right, but its not always having the best product, service, branding or whatsoever. In the modern world, its about having the strongest network of marketers to show visibility. When you are in competition it forces you to improve in quality, but what should be more focused is drafting the right business strategy because even the best in the market can be overlooked. For example, Temu run adverts in my country, in fact they did that world wide, but before now we have Jumia and others. People are gradually trusting Temu and ordering from them more.

Do you think problem gamblers can save on themselves to start living in the "bright future" they hope for after a big win at the casino?
The same goes for problem bettors and sports betting.

The idea of having a brighter future in gambling when they win big is often dependent on hope and luck. The problem gambler or bettors dont stop when they win, they keep on betting believing they are in a state of good luck but indirectly its a trap to keep them gambling and betting more.

The solution to gamblers or bettors like this is a shift in their mindset. Their conclusion of winning and losing, most especially the delusion of chasing luck whenever they win or lose to managing their bankroll and building solid discipline.

I think this is based on individuals, some perons can actually be moved to gamble when the received their pay from signature campaigns that pays directly in the account if their participants in their site...

I respect individual choices. But the idea of gambling using a pay into the casino is wrong to me, and I cant back down on my words. It is obvious they no longer adhere to bankroll management.

The only reason I can accept that idea is if they derive their bankroll from the pay and send the rest out.

Re: Most predictable and unpredictable soccer Leagues to bet on: your thoughts?
by
Agbamoni
on 29/08/2025, 14:36:09 UTC
Before I talk about soccer leagues that are predictable, i will want to state it categorically that football generally are unpredictable, infact the game of sports is never predictable then if we want to talk about league they ones that's likely or will I say slightly predicted, then it should be the Norway major league but in terms of betting on them, a bettor must have to bet on goals here even the so Bodo Glimt and Rosenborg and some other teams that are good there mess up sometimes, for me I prefer being them on goals, German bundesliga on goals too, the English premier league of before can can actually go the way you said it but as for the recent happenings, it is difficult to predict, you no what I mean.

Every football league is predictable, the thing is you cant predict with certainty on the outcome. The same period you bet on certain league and lost, many people had bet on those leagues and won. You feel me. I understand your points here and you never can tell, how others see other league, especially the Norway major league you mentioned, I hardly select games from there.

Just like in the content of OP, I am a stake participant and I do receive my pay in my stake account but never have i used it to gamble. The thing is, I am more of a sports bettor and I'm comfortable betting in local sportsbook using fiat.

At the same time, gambling with your signature pay might force you to go against your bankroll management. Which is one mistake I wouldn't want to do.

So firstly, I would say what I've been working for me.

1)Which leagues do you find the most predictable in terms of match outcomes?

In soccer, I believe the English Premier and La Liga can be more predictable for me because I watched them the most. When you watch a league back to back, you will know teams that are better to bet on. So it doesn't matter the league, what matters is what league you watch the most.

2)And which leagues are the most unpredictable, where you can’t always rely on teams' form or stats?

Unpopular leagues are the most unpredictable. The reason is because I am not familiar with those teams.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season
by

on 28/08/2025, 20:29:55 UTC
I haven't found the match schedule in the Champions League but if what you say is true then it is a shame, I don't know why I get annoyed when strong teams fight each other in the early stages I mean it would be better if we watch it in the middle or at the end. But yeah now UCL with new system even though they beat each other there is still a chance to qualify if they collect points from other matches.

Talking about Chelsea at the moment they are a different team from previous seasons or we can call it on the same level as Barcelona. On the other hand, Chelsea is always underestimated when playing against Barcelona but in the end they are always luckier so I think both teams have the same chance.
I don't really think Chelsea have the same chances of beating Barcelona, Barcelona have more chances than them, firstly Barcelona they have a better squad than Chelsea and also Barcelona performance from last season and this ongoing season is better than Chelsea own, I known so many Chelsea fans will be thinking because they PSG tey can beat Barcelona is a lie, Barcelona is a team that don't jokes with matches like this, is not that am trying to say that Chelsea cannot win or play Barcelona  a draw in that game but you saying that they have equal chance in the game is not right because Barcelona have more chance of winning in that match than them.

I am very sure of Chelsea qualifications to the next stage of the competitions because they really don't have though team to play except from Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Napoli and may be Benfica who gave them tough time during the Club World Cup.

Re: ⚽ EFL Carabao Cup 2024/25 Season
by

on 28/08/2025, 20:28:37 UTC
this loss really humbled so many united fans because there is actually no reasonable excuse they can give as to why they lost to a team that is not even known anywhere. going down two nil just that first half was the worst thing to witness and you could see how much it meant to the club to have humiliated Manchester united in the manner they did. even though they where able to bounce back into the gam and even went as far as the penalty, it remained a clear disappointment that united hard to struggle so much and eventually got beaten by a small team that is not even premier league worthy.

This defeat have really humbled so many Manchester United fans at least nobody will come to my DM and start bragging about their club who lost to Grimbsy that I  don't known exist, but the season is just starting we should not assume so early they might still improve if they work hard because there is still enough time for them to improve on their performance,  but if they don't work hard to improve the team I think relegation is calling them. I am so happy that they are out of the Caraboa cup remaining the FA cup which they will still not compete for or another small team is going to remove them again which will not be surprising.

on 28/08/2025, 19:29:07 UTC
I don't completely agree with you on this dude because the percentage of people that invested there money in Bitcoin are very few because back then so many people don't believe Bitcoin will be this great, some even see it as a scam because the aware back then is not as it is now. Na now boys don open eye and then don see the potential of Bitcoin and how important and beneficial it will be if they invest in Bitcoin. Some Nigerians sold their Bitcoin and other crypto back then because of lack of knowledge and because of immediate needs and wants.

OP did not put it the right way, but he is making some valid point from the example he gave. However, statically speaking we have very few percentage of Nigerian citizens that are holding Bitcoins in their wallet for years now. If there was a way to find out, we will see that most Nigerians are making money out of Bitcoin by trading or earning mostly. Although times are changing and may Nigerians are beginning to see the need of saving in Bitcoin, with money they dont plan on using at the moment.

We cant exchange our coins to fiat if we dont use p2p currently in Nigeria. In as much as there are scammers and fraudulent activities from merchants we can't do without trading in p2p.

Also, there are several threads in our local board that directs us how to escape from scammers. I believe by now every one in this board should be aware of different p2p scams and ways to prevent them.

on 28/08/2025, 19:05:17 UTC
We have two categories of wallet. Cold and Hot wallets. But as a newbie it is better you start with a hot wallet.

Hot wallets can be connected to the internet and they are mobile friendly, just like the example Nwada001 gave you. While the cold wallets are not connected to the internet and they are designed for long term storage of you Bitcoin. They are also called Hardware wallets and Ledger and Trezor are the most common.
