If 50$ was all the investment money I was able to save I'd most likely spend it on cheap beer with friends, cause I'd be like 14 and cheap beer on a saturday night and hanging out with girls was everything I cared about at that age  Grin

Re: The lack of financial education

In a world as globalized as ours, I truly believe that financial and a basic economical education is crucial. This is for 2 reasons in my opinion. First it is more needed to be self employed in many parts of the world in order to be your own master in life. Secondly there is hardly any job or situation in life where you are not confronted with economical decisions.

Have a clear overview of how much money you need on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. Once you know your fixed costs it is fairly easy to work on a money saving plan. Also don't invest all your money into the same or similar sources. Diversification is key, believe me Wink

Self education is great. I started learning guitar on my own last week. I expect to be a global rock star by the end of the year. So watch out!

We are back to price levels from a few weeks ago. The price run has been insane the past few days. A correction has been long overdue. Holiday season might be a reason as well, people drive off on their holidays starting today, they want some peaceful stressless days without checking their high volatility investments all day. Something that is seen on stock markets as well.
I personally would only be concerned should the prices fall to a level from September 2017...

I had to look it up and I think it is gross. Eating a baby duck out of its egg isn't my kind of food but hey if it is normal in your country it is okay, have fun with it. Cultures are different!

There are man concerning things about the tether. The thing that bugs me most is that new aburd amounts of tether are issued from time to time. Bitfinex, who is kind of the owner of the USDT, already confessed in court that they don't have a backing for the USDT. They guarantee the 1:1 but only back like 2% of the sum in $.
Is this all a big Bitfinex scam fro the beginning? Is Bitfinex going into insolvency soon? What is gonna happen to coins currently parked on Bitfinex?

Re: Do You Accept Max Speed Limit 120 Miles Per Hour At Night Time
by

on 17/11/2017, 07:05:25 UTC
I believe in many countries this to be a problem. Higher speed limits at night are possibly nice, since you can get faster to your location but just because there might be less people on the road it isn't any safer. Coming from a country close to Germany I can assure you that driving at unlimited speed limit roads requires some time and training to get used to as you reflexes and stuff need to adept. At night when the vision is bad this can get very tricky.
Having also spent some time driving in foreign countries I can not imagine the mess with higher speed limits at night in countries like England, Italy, USA, Spain and so on where people already drive like shit.

In the end the mass community will decide and the adoption that comes with the community. Currently and for quite a while I see BTC unchallanged when it comes to adoption and community size/activity.

Re: Super Low caps - which is most legit?
by
Aladdin-Sane-83
on 12/10/2017, 06:10:13 UTC
There is a coin that has the following "ingredients":

- an innovative, eco-friendly consensus algorithm that competes with Proof-of-Stake
- three different consensus algorithms (so no power group can "take it over")
- an asic-unfriendly mining algorithm that is only used in that particular coin
- will provide a decentralized web soon
- no premine nor instamine
- a technically minded, decentralized community, not a corporation or "scam project" behind it
- very low market cap of about $200.000 (one coin is worth about $0.013), at rank ~650 on Coinmarketcap.
- only traded at Novaexchange

Do your own research Grin I'll not name it here.

Re: Life with out money ?

Back when I finished school in 2002 I went on a backpack trip with 2 very good friends. We traveled through western Europe (Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal) by train. The train ticket called Interrail allowed us to take basically all traines we wanted to.
During the trip we calculated with 15 euro per person per day. This money was for everything, Hostels, camping sites, food, booz, public transport in citys and entry fees etc. It was interesting to see on how low budget you can get along in western Europe if you focus on it.
Living without money in a well developed society is hardly possible if you do nt choose to live outside of the society.

Re: What are the Most Peaceful Countries?
by
Aladdin-Sane-83
on 09/10/2017, 13:31:24 UTC
Living in Austria it is pretty peaceful here. But there are serveral layers of peace imo. The obvious one is a military internal or outside conflict the country is tied to.
The second layer are internal conflicts of society. I doulbt there are countries that are fonished or their way to the perfectly peaceful society.
As long as a Paygap, descrimination towards race, gender, sexuality etc. exists there is plenty to do for a society sriiving towards peace.
And even once this open minded equal society exists there are many internal conflicts, as there are always backwards thinking homophobic racist hillbillys fighting this equal society.

Re: Guns - Why do we need them?
by
Aladdin-Sane-83

Guns can be useful for hunting.
There are countless studies that prove that a gun owned for self defense reasons is going to do more harm that otherwise.
