Re: Best selling item online for bitcoins?
by
Alauria
on 25/10/2016, 08:19:13 UTC
What you think about this topic, I wonder what would be most profitable to start selling for bitcoins, and I found out that I have no idea what is happening on the online markets.

https://news.bitcoin.com/top-5-products-openbazaar/

OpenBazzar have a list about top 5 things that people are buying with bitcoins.

1. Food
2. Cigarettes
3. Seeds
4. Comic Books
5. Clothing & Accessories

What is your opinion about this?

I dont  really think this  list would  be accurate though hence there are some of  hidden  things that are  majorly being sold  by bitcoin  just  like weed  and the  transactions  are  bigger than  you imagined. These  things are  just  being showed  on  the top only  but we really dont  know  on the  transaction on  underground.
There are so many items for sale with the bitcoin but you dont know what to buy witbh it you know lots of people are buying games with it and i think
that is the best thing to buy with th ebitcoins.

Re: Do you use a bot for trading?
by
Alauria
on 25/10/2016, 08:00:29 UTC
I thought it would be interesting to know if you guys use a bot to trade bitcoin or altcoins..

Whether or not you do, if you were to make one, what rules would it based on?

I don't use one myself.. but am looking to get one built, and would welcome any suggestions on features and rules that you think would work..

Thanks!

I have never used a bot and was never interested in trading bots because you should be a very good developer (if they offer the source code of the bot of course) and understand how the bot works because that bot can lose our funds by pumping or dumping the price of the coin we want to trade

Using  bots are  just  like you are  automating your trades when  you are not around  but  it doesnt  even guarantee you to make   succesful trades with it. There are some  who  would  use it for convenience but  its better for me  to  do it manually.

yeah thats why i never try to use it since bots are just an imaginary profiter in my opinion, tradings really need personal interaction so we can earn from it and bots are just an acessory that can be wipe out immediately, although theres people telling that they are earning from it i would not still believe that there earnings are good as those people who join on pump and dump groups,  so the best thing to do trade really is to do it by ourselves and by this thing we can learn more lessons about tradings lapses.
I never want to use bots for my trades becuase i know for srue that when i am useing bots the price of the bitcoin will not tolerate me to deal with it
soi am trading by muy self without a bot.

Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries?
by
Alauria
on 25/10/2016, 07:44:27 UTC
I think Bitcoin can not help the poor countries because poor countries do not have the facilities available to them, they can not even trade bitcoin because they do not have a good internet penetration rate.

Well this is the main reason why I am saying that bitcoin can't help the poor countries, unless they are going to invest with computers and other facilities needed for their people to work for bitcoin. But I am very doubtful that if we are going to place these computers in the depressed areas in Africa, people there must be trained first on how to use computers.

You don't need a computer. All you need is a cellphone and a service plan. Most of the internet connection in the better countries of africa are from cellphones. Only some are desktops and laptops. It is perfectly possible for poor countries to benefit greatly from bitcoin. They can work online from anywhere in the world doing whatever they want and getting paid in bitcoin in minutes.

yes that's what i am using these days cellphones are the most convenient, easy to carry gadget where we can use to work in our bitcoin ventures, and im sure if poor people would know bitcoin they would surely gain money that can help their starving family buy some food in meals, lunch and dinners, bitcoin really helpfull since theyre are no scholastical record holding to earn more, and also bitcoin is i think the future currency where people would love to work since there are no boss in this industry.

Actually a guy in the previous pages talked about a third party... So you just don't need neither a cellphone or internet if you want to hold it...
For example you pay XXX fiat currency for this guy, he buys BTC and give to you a paper wallet or whatever...

There's a lot of ways, but, you know, if you are poor, probably you don't have money to hold bitcoin...
Bitcoins can do allot of tjhings but help poor countrys i dont think they can help the poor ones because the poor peopel are not even close to buy
a bitcoin so how can they help them.

Re: Why Gambling is Fun?

I can agree about that gambling is fun because of the game and the enjoying part you get from it.
Its also fun because you can win money of course but that is not the main reason why it is fun.

Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular?
by
Alauria
on 20/10/2016, 22:43:38 UTC
This thread was created in the wrong section. This should be in the Economics sections. Anyhow, to answer you question: A stable price would most likely end up attracting even more people to Bitcoin. One of the major 'cons' that it currently has (for people who consider joining) is that it is very volatile and that you might end up having much less money (e.g. in USD) the day after you've bought some Bitcoin.

I think you are right but remember that due to the instability the bitcoin became so popular because due to that it was profitable on short terms.
I think that if that not happened it would never be so popular as now.

Yes it is used for criminal activities but that is not a bad thing at all because its logical that it happens these days.
Bitcoin is used for this a lot but we cannot do anything about it too so why not.

Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong?
by
Alauria
on 20/10/2016, 20:03:54 UTC
When you gamble, you are more likely to lose than win due to the house edge. In the long run, you would be suffering a loss. Gambling is more of a form of entertainment than a source of income. Always gamble what you can afford to lose and manage your money well.

Indeed its not very wrong but the fact is that gambling is something that you have to do for the fun and not for the profit.
I think that is already told but its pretty funny.

Re: Buying clothes with bitcoins?
by
Alauria
on 20/10/2016, 19:41:13 UTC
I don't know if there is a site just like gamiss but if you want to buy clothes with bitcoin you must exchange it first to $ and paypal as a payment method. Because most of the online shops do only accepts payment with paypal or any other authorized web site. If you are not unable to find some other site like this, well try my suggestion and use virwox for it.

Indeed most of the times you have to exchange your bitcoins to really make a payment on these websites.
I hope there will come more clothing brands that are gonna accept the bitcoin.

Re: Is it better to save money or invest it?
by
Alauria
on 20/10/2016, 14:43:29 UTC
One of the better ways to invest money is to buy an ETF it is a bunch of stocks that you own a part of. They generally have a track record of growing 10% a year and they are considered safe investments.

This can be a good idea but need time for this and I also think that is a long term investment, I would go for investing in altcoins its maybe less more safe but it can really bring you some nice amounts.
